We were seated but ignored at Adobe Springs so decided to so we decided to try Roxy - what a blessing! Greeted warmly by the person clearing tables and promptly greeted by waitress. Every bite was so good! The ingredients are fresh and it shows in the flavor. We had the eggs and toast with a side of bacon, the pozole, the breakfast sandwich and the omelette with beans and potatoes. The green and red chilis were on point and perfect when in New Mexico! Oh and the gluten-free options were great with the best gluten-free pancakes we have ever had in a restaurant. We went at 8AM and there was no wait but the tables were full by 9AM. I love this place! The quintessential diner experience, with great food, excellent service and a cozy atmosphere to boot. Our waitress was both helpful and friendly and super efficient - she recommended the blueberry sauce (homemade compote) I got on the side of my pancakes and it was so delicious I took what was left home to spread on a toast. The side of bacon was cooked perfectly as well. I would say my food could have been hotter. I think it sat while they made my boyfriend's red rancheros, which was steaming hot and SO delicious. The red chile was spot on. Today I popped in for a biscuit sandwich w pepper jack cheese, bacon and an egg over hard. Could not have been any better, and their prices are cheap!! $6 for my egg Sammy today. I think that's less than McDonald nowadays and a trillion times better. This is a cozy/delicious little option that was quite the surprise after having tried a few other locations in SC that were all closed. Food was simple but amazing...all made to order. I ordered the scrambled eqqs with green chilies, beans, potatoes, bacon & sourdough toast. We were a party of 4, only three of us ordered. We waited 30-40 minutes for our food to arrive, but the place WAS full - to be fair. It was DE-licous! The service was FAN-tastic! Food was reasonably priced and waitress was friendly and attentive The cleanliness was not up to standard. Something had broken on the floor and not cleaned up. A male food service cook came out to clean off tables then went back into the kitchen area. His blue jeans were filthy. Full of black grease like he had been working on his car. Going out for late breakfast is a treat for me, and it's normally the only time I eat out. The food is consistently good and the staff are all friendly and super helpful. This morning I witnessed the owner leave a busy kitchen to jump a dead battery in an older lady's vehicle, out front of the restaurant. Service was too slow for such a small space. Waitress was friendly, but took way too long to get our food and some items were practically cold. Flavor of food was alright... pancakes were crumbly and dry. I recommend their chef's use more seasoning (aka salt), especially on the egg dishes. Not worth the wait.
