They are the best!!! I have been stopping here for 11 years on the Red Ribbon Ride. They are always supper helpful. They put water out for our bike group of 200 and put welcome riders on the sign. They add extra staff when they know we are coming. The Ice Cream is always great!!! I stop here when not on the riide and they are always top notch! read more

Pretty lame. My daughter and I stopped tonight because we couldn't find anyone in town with a full menu at 8:55 pm. FIRST PROBLEM: Surprisingly, Dairy Queen closes at 9:00 pm on a warm Saturday night, summertime, on the main road (Highway 61)--pretty stupid. The place literally filled with people right before closing. Maybe the owners don't like to make money! SECOND PROBLEM: No adults to be found anywhere, just a bunch of pimple faced kids who were all pissed off that they were suddenly busy at closing time, rolling their eyes, and giving everyone crappy customer service and attitude. Could we have at least ONE PERSON over 30 to keep a lid on things? Also, I got a chilli cheese dog that had so little cheese and chilli, I literally couldn't see them when I opened my box. This location is an incredible disappointment. We came in for ice cream and a sandwich.. the staff was incredibly rude and the person taking the order and at the window made us feel like we were an inconvenience. She scoffed at us having a gift card, didn't even greet us (instead just indifferently telling us the total), and when we said have a nice day (politely) she slammed the window shut. The food was less than mediocre and it was a waste of $25. I will not be returning and encourage others to think twice as well until they improve their customer service, food quality, and learn to appreciate their paying customers. read more

So to start people at the counter were nice. The problems start when the order was not what we ordered. Then when we tried to use the bathroom that has to be unlocked to use had no running water the toilet would not flush and the cleanliness is better at truck stops. I would avoid this place as you may get the plague. Hastings or Red wing would be worth the wait. read more

This is the worst Dairy Queen my fiancé and I have ever been to! We stopped in to get blizzards after a long day and experienced completely incompetent staff. We had to ask for our credit card back after they told us to have a great day. The blizzards we received were absolute crap compared to that of other Dairy Queens. I ordered a mint, Oreo, cheesecake blizzard, which was extremely watery and would never have passed the flip test had they done it. Additionally, there was no cheesecake in the blizzard, that I paid additional for, and only half of it had the mint. The ice cream itself was flavorless; it was just frozen milk. Overall, the visit, though brief, was very disappointing and dissatisfying. We could have bought our ice cream at a gas station and received better product quality and customer service. read more

Drive through service horrible. Female employee at the window went way beyond the boundaries of rudeness. Made mocking faces at us, dismissed us with her hands, all because we asked her to clarify which malt she was handing us from our order. This girl should not be working with the public. read more

I've lived in Lake City for over 20 years and have always enjoyed going down to get some ice cream. I hadn't been down there in over a year and I go today a Saturday at 8pm and order a blizzard with chocolate ice cream and I'm told sorry we dont serve chocolate ice cream on the weekends, now you would think that maybe since dairy queen is known for ice cream treats they would maybe have another option besides vanilla just saying, mine as well go to Burger King just down the street much cheaper. This is just stunning to me that you dont serve chocolate ice cream on the weekend but do so all week, disappointed with the business. read more

Great place to stop during the week when real service people who know how to wait on people work. Weekends when I stopped there were teenagers who did not know how to say "good morning, I will be with you in a minute' or any acknowledgement whatsoever. There obviously needs to be more training so that the service people know where their salaries come from -- customers should not be treated like they are an inconvenience or invisible.
