The parking lot is very bumpy and you will mess your truck up. If you drive something bigger then a 1/2 they will ask you to park next to the high way. Seems a bit dangerous. The poor worker had to run to the back and restock everything for our order because management advertised ice cream they didn't have. Service took extremely long, so don't stop if you're in a hurry. You are also not allowed to use gift cards unless purchased at this exact location. This place is very very slow. We waited 20 min to get food - burger fries and chicken strips, and our friend waited 45 for a hamburger and frieS. The people in front of him ordered 2 burgers and fries. The cook came out and asked what we ordered after 10 min even when he had the ticket in hand. The cashier was very slow you could tell that the staff did not want to be there. The front register lady did know what she was ringing in we listened to her miss up 3 orders after ours. Did I mention there was no tickets before us in the drive or counter when we ordered. There is no excuse for being lazy especially on a Sunday afternoon. We will not be stopping here again. Quite possibly the worst customer service I have ever experienced at a fast food place. Stopped here on a road trip. Two items were left out of our order. When I asked for the items, I waited at the drive-through window for a long time. I asked for a refund, but was told that the cash register had been closed for the day. Eventually, I pulled into a parking spot to wait. The additional items still didn't come. Went inside to see that they had forgotten it a second time. We arrived one hour before closing. DISGUSTING, do not eat here! I love Dairy Queen, but this one was the worst one I have ever been to in my life. We were driving through town and happened to see this Dairy Queen and stopped to eat there. HUGE mistake! The service is slow, and they weren't good at all. Couldn't even get our drink order right. We ordered 4 cups, they gave us 3, that kind of thing. But that's just little complaints, let's talk about my big complaints. One, the FLIES, they are everywhere! Wouldn't stop getting on us and our food, flying around all over the restaurant. I have attached pictures of this, I'm completely disgusted. Two, even though their service is slow and awful, they still won't even give refills. What fast food restaurant, especially one like Dairy Queen charges for refills? Absolutely absurd to me! My wife was going to go to the bathroom, but the seats were covered in pee, the men's toilet was covered in pee and poop. Absolutely gross. If you are passing through town, continue on to either Brady or Fredricksburg if you want Dairy Queen. This one will never have my business again! Place went to hell and in hand basket. It used to be great back in the day (way back then). People just don't care anymore or have pride in what they do. Just want to made enough money for their next fix. I don't understand have the owner of this place let's this happen and seems like he doesn't care. Anyways we got a root beer float and two ice cream's which they were out of Reese's and peanut butter but wanted to substitute for M&Ms or some other crazy stuff. Ordered a 6 piece chicken basket from a sweet girl. She gave my order to a the wrong person who gave it back and she then gave it to me. Opened it and started to eat and realized that it was steak. Told the girl and she seemed confused that I still wanted chicken. Waited a while and went back up there. Over the last few years we have given this DQ several "tries", with high hopes that it would get better, to no avail. Besides bad, cold burgers and fries, it goes beyond that. Tonight we stopped for a vanilla cone, I went inside as the order board STILL doesn't work after 20 years. This young man came to the counter to take my order, he had on purple disposable gloves. In those gloves he touched the register, took my CASH, gave me change, then turned around to pick up my cone with those same gloved hands. Please, train those people to not wear gloves if they aren't going to change them after they touch surfaces etc. It is MUCH more sanitary to touch money, WASH, touch the broom handle, WASH, open the drive threw window, WASH. etc.,. this was so unsanitary I had to throw out the ice cream. He touched so many surfaces with those gloves just while I was standing there. Please avoid this place, it is really sad that it can't be better. Don't hold poor service against these young workers, if we got paid what they do, good customer service would be hard to muster for me too. read more

Wow! So if you are passing through on a Sunday and this is the only place open, keep driving to the next town. The lady at the register was very nice and apparently the only one on the staff who was working even though there was a whole staff in the back. Tried to order and after 6 different picks they finally had the stuff to make it, then messed up on the order. When the salad that was ordered didn't have a dressing and had to go ask for some the girl that was working had her hands full as one just stood there. Finally the helpful worker was free to help even though another worker stayed 3 feet away. Food was below par even for a fast food, service was terrible and restaurant was filthy. !!!DO NOT EAT HERE!!! A few days ago I was passing through Mason and decided to stop at Dairy Queen to surprise my parents with some food. I ordered them chicken sandwiches... I got home and and gave my mother her sandwich and boy was she surprised... the chicken patty was completely RAW in the middle. We also checked my dad's before giving it to him, and it was also raw. We decided to call and speak to the manger and all she had to say was "sorry, I'll speak to the cook." She didn't offer a refund nor did she offer us new freshly cooked sandwiches. Saying "sorry" does not prevent my mother, who took a bite of her sandwich, from getting food poisoning or salmonella.
