Best Bites - Cool Down at Spoon It While out shopping with…read moremy grandkids on a typical hot Texas day, one of them asked for frozen yogurt. I told them, "I know just the place!" About a month ago, Spoon It opened its doors at 7515 Hwy 105 near Major Drive, and it's already become a favorite spot for a cool, creamy treat. Calling it "cute" is an understatement--it gives off real tropical vibes! The checkout counter and yogurt machine stations are designed like tiki huts, complete with bamboo and thatched roofs. It's festive, fun, and the perfect escape from the heat. Their variety of frozen yogurt is impressive, with about 12 different flavors to choose from--including two sugar-free options. One granddaughter chose a swirl of pistachio, cheesecake, and yellow cake batter yogurt, and topped it with fresh strawberries, blueberries, and pineapple. The other went with dreamsicle and cheesecake yogurt, finished off with little cheesecake squares for extra indulgence. And oh--did I mention their topping bar? It's vast! If you can think of it, they probably have it. As for me, I had a small serving of sugar-free strawberry yogurt topped with fresh strawberries. Light, refreshing, and absolutely delicious--I'd definitely order it again. With summer temperatures climbing, I encourage you to stop by Spoon It on Hwy 105. The yogurt is top-notch, the customer service is exceptional, and the vibe is just plain fun. Bring your kids or grandkids--they'll love it. Ladies, after your next girlfriend's luncheon, treat yourself to something sweet. Guys, take your date--she'll love it too. And when you go, be sure to tell them you saw it on Best Bites! I tried a couple of flavors and got a cup. I loved their popping boba topping tho. And they had fresh fruits enclosed in a open top fridge which was really cool. The place looked islandish which was cool. They also had daiquiris but we didn't try them. The service was awesome and we might come back to try the daiquiris

They were both delicious! And I was so surprised at how nice it was inside (I haven't been in a couple years back to that specific location) the staff was pretty nice, and we enjoyed the flavors we chose of the ice cream they had on display. It was a little pricy though for the amount you get, but worth it! Will definitely come again.

While the people there were super nice, I can't in good conscience advice anyone else to go here. Maybe I should have taken the hint from one of the display cases being out of order and the majority of the shop being fairly on the gross side, but I just figured it was from a weekend/afternoon rush. But no. Both my husband and I are violently ill. We went to see a movie and had to leave early because we were both sick to our stomachs. I couldn't even make it out of the theater before I had no choice but to find a bathroom. Now, its 1 am and we are still taking turns on the toilet fighting for dear life. We both had icecream, 3 different flavors all together, all of which tasted slightly off. Nothing else we ate today has made the other people we ate with sick, so it can only be this. For the sake of your colon and the longevity of your toilet, do not eat the icecream here.
