Horrible customer service. The lady taking our order said she'd worked there for "23 years" and was quite rude. Don't go to this location.

Tried ordering a strawberry cheesecake blizzard cake online, there was no option to choose it. I called and was told I have to order online still and put it in notes section for 'strawberry cheesecake'. I went inside the store asking if i can pay in advance and get the cake made for tomorrow anytime and was told it wasn't possible. As a former DQ employee, I was very dissatisfied with the service, especially from the one employee tonight. Wouldn't recommend trying to order a birthday cake at this location again. read more

No napkins at most tables floors dirty and some tables are the same a bunch of staff standing around? Not a way to train a new person and only 8 of us in whole Restuarant . Second time around in since my last yep ! And let me state it's the last time thinking of calling the Health Board it was gross dirty pop machine for over an hour after telling staff I was tired of standing in sticky floors and putting my cups in pop fluids for the last hour. The owner should hire responsible staff or have management on. At least the blonde girl who grabbed two pop there had the the brains to send Nick over the fellow I told twice. But all he did was use a clothe and wiped once and left the counter was clear of fluids but sticky as they don't use cleaners and he didn't clean the floor? Wtf is with that ? Must be lazy or under paid but he had time to smack a blonde girl with a towel and she was playing back. Great customer service I hope they aren't using that towel to clean the restaurant tables ! Hang on they don't clean at this location . Would love a response to this by management or owner . We'll see what happens I keep Everyone informed . But avoid this location and by the way this peer owns both in Sherwood Park! I will travel to the city if they are going to be this dirty each time I visit . Every time I've been here, they've managed to get my order wrong. From not including things to not giving me the correct items. Normally I'd forgive this but this Dairy queen is not busy or overwhelmed with orders. Its very disappointing. read more

Employees are very undertrained, and the food is typically not great. Last week when my roommate went, her burger was cold in the middle, and her fries were cold by the time they gave them to her. Just today, I ordered a hot fudge sundae and they gave me a plain chocolate sunday and only put one squirt of the chocolate syrup on top, leaving the rest of the ice cream plain. read more

Got called a B*tch by the manager tonight in front of my 10 year old son. I ordered in the drive through and paid and was waiting for my order and was told to pull to the side. Nobody was behind me - so I asked why? The girl told me it was so that their timer would stop to keep their numbers low. I don't know who uses these numbers - but they are basically cheating the system. But I asked for the manager and said I will just wait here unless a car comes behind me - as why should an employee have to come outside in a snowstorm when there is no need. She called me the name and walked away. I tapped the window and asked for a refund - won't be going to this place ever again. Honestly - I guess teaching your young employees to cheat the system is the what DQ is teaching these days. read more

I was sworn at in the drive thru at this location. :-( I don't think this has ever happened to me in my lifetime! And I'm 43! I love Dairy Queen and normally have had good service in general but this location was a serious disappointment the other day. I had asked for a litre of ice cream and a cup of chocolate sauce. He put "a pump" in a cup and showed it to me and asked if it was enough and it would be .50 cents per pump of sauce. I said "Sure, I would like 5 pumps please". He went to dump the first pump into another cup (which doesn't work so well, as most of the first pump was left in the first cup) and when I said that I would prefer not to pay for that one he said "JESUS CHRIST!" threw out the cup and proceeded to get me a new cup and put in 5 pumps. I was floored. After I paid I said "Thank you. I appreciate you helping me with the chocolate sauce, but I did NOT appreciate you swearing at me. That was uncalled for." I have been inside before and never come across this "gentleman" but the other staff during my other visits seemed friendly enough. Won't be going back there though because of this person, unless I absolutely have to. And that is disappointing because I love DQ! read more
