Personally I would've liked a little bit more nuts in my scoop to balance the pleasant surprise of marshmallows and brownies I got per bite, but it didn't take away from the whole experience. It was still very good. If I had to choose, my favorite was the Cold Brew Coffee. I love coffee ice cream, and this one felt like I was biting into a coffee in the best way. And while ice cream isn't probably the best solution (drinking water would be better) it's not the worst, right? Ice cream is a good idea, or the dairy-free alternative is since I'm lactose-intolerant. Kind Ice Cream has three choices for me from their regular menu, and they usually have a dairy-free alternative in their rotating menu. I went for one of their standards Lemon and Jammy Raspberry. I'm a fan of anything Raspberry flavour and this was delicious. My first visit at Kind Ice Cream but not my last. 0 out of 5 for heat stroke. 5 out of 5 for the ice cream.

As it is a small shop (aka small bench inside), I usually grab a pint or if the weather is nice, a cup or cone to enjoy outside. There's some benches just at the corner and some sitting options if you cross the ave. Parks nearby, including a dog park and Millcreek Ravine. Both not far. Just depends on how active you want to be when you enjoy your ice cream. Price point is average for what is being charged in Edmonton. So this is still in a treat category.

I frequently check in around the year to see what the monthly flavours are, but even if there's nothing that appeals to me in the rotation, they have an awesome lineup of regular menu flavours. If you're picky about ice cream and really just want a vanilla, they have excellent quality "normal" flavours too. Don't be daunted by a crowd! The building (although gorgeously decorated) is pretty small, and it gets packed and busy. Anyone with noise sensitivity should plan to bringheadphones. The lines get super long especially in the summer, but service is always fast and efficient. And PLEASE sample your ice cream flavours before committing to getting one! Just be sure to alert the employees of any allergies/sensitivities.

Made By Marcus has three regular non-dairy options Chocolate Fudge Brownie, Snickerdoodle, and Prairie Fairie Sorbet. I'll be honest I haven't tried the sorbet, but the other two flavours are delicious. They also have four rotating seasonal flavours that change each month, and one of those will be vegan and so good for me. This month November 2025 the vegan flavour is Poached Pear and Brown Sugar Streusal. It is heavenly and I went to Made By Marcus two days in a row for this. You can get most of their flavours in to-go pints and I'm pretty tempted to pick this up. Downside to Made By Marcus is the line outside will be crazy in the summer. But no problem getting in at 6pm on a random Wednesday in November for some reason. They also are not across from my house and I really think my neighbors across the way should move out so Made By Marcus can move in. I had a chance to visit this ice cream shack/trailer/food truck for the first time this evening after following them on facebook all last summer and never stopping by. I also had a chance to chat with the owner for a bit as it was a little slow when I was there. They're not quite at a full 80 flavours just yet, but she assured me that she was bringing more in very soon. I was quite content with the choices that were available and had a hard time narrowing it down. I can't imagine if there had been more! They hope to be able to expand this year and open a second location (either a fixed location or a roving one for special events). The owner is really sweet and has all the details of her flavours packed in her brain. She answers all the questions quickly and offers great suggestions!! For my first visit I went with the "cheeky monkey" frozen yogurt which is a mixture of strawberry and banana with chocolate chunks. Delicious! I would definitely get it again, but not until I make it through the rest of the menu. There's obviously a great variety... but it's not just ice cream. They also offer frozen yogurt, sorbet, and sherbet. Prices are great... $4 for a single, $6 for a double, and an extra dollar for a waffle cone.
