We called ahead to make sure they were open. It would have been a bummer otherwise. When we went up to the counter to order, we said we were the Pittsburgh people who called. They were excited to see us. There were a lot of ice cream options. We sat under the patio v. at the tables in the sun. You know this is a go to place when a UPS driver stopped and had his lunch here.

Firstly, I saw the sign advertising your milkshake of the week. Tip for the management = please include the price on your sign. Also, tell us that it comes in a fancy, collector cup if that is the case. Personally, I don't want a fancy cup, and secondly, I don't want to pay over ten dollars for a milkshake. If a customer asks you if it can be made in a regular cup for less money, don't act like you are reinventing the wheel. Anyways, the young woman at the counter was very snooty. Her attitude needs an adjustment. Also, I told her to keep the change for a tip, and she gave me the change back anyway ... who does that? We had to put the cash into the tip bucket ourselves, when it was right next to her. Anyways, I ended up with a regular chocolate malt milkshake, and it had a very bad, bitter aftertaste. This tiny icecream shop is owned by 2 lovely owners, Kang & Gary Garnic. They offer homemade ice cream along with various flavor options for Dairy-free/ Gluten-free people as well. I have not had any flavors that I do not like yet, though my favorite is their "Sea salt" ice cream, a nice vanilla ice cream with a little twist of salty taste that is just perfect not to mention the blue color that makes it instagram-worthy). I love their subtly sweet taste that does not scream "There is a bunch of sugar added in here". and it leaves you wanting more after you finish your scoop. There are a couple of tables inside the shop as well as on their small patio. There is parking onsite, though I believe it can be a little challenging if you come on a hot day where everyone else also wants ice cream. I am so glad they are here. Definitely one more reason to love Erie

Old school vibe with local high schoolers working the counter and limited bench-only seating (several folks were eating their custard in the back of a pickup truck in the parking lot). They have a nice big menu with custard, shakes, and sundaes. Prices are very reasonable. My wife, daughter, and I all enjoyed our custard. I'd say the flavors were on the plain side but the toppings were layered on very generously. We would definitely stop back next time we are in town.

Just a nice little roadside ice cream and fast food place. On a Friday afternoon they were fairly busy. You order in a small glassed in area on the front. The menu offers both hard and soft serve ice cream and they also have burgers, fried items and the usual sides. They have a nice selection of hard ice cream flavors from both Perry and Ashley Ice creams. Prices are a bit high, although that is an issue at almost all places. Services was a bit slow even though all that was being ordered were ice cream items. The ice cream itself was great, I have always enjoyed Perry ice cream and the Ashley ice cream is good as well. They both offer creamy ice cream with original flavor combinations. There are seating areas on either side of the building, they also have a little one hole putt putt and some old school kiddie rides. A friendly place and good ice cream. If you are cruising Route 20 in this area Farmers Daughter is a good choice for a tasty stop.
