Denny's Ice Cream Stand was founded in 1982. It sells ice creams and also other foods such as yogurts, sherbets, slushies, milkshakes, burgers, hotdogs, and fries. Please see my uploaded photos for the menus. My husband and I were visiting Erie, and we wanted to try some local ice cream. I searched on Yelp and chose Denny's. When we parked our vehicle in the parking lot, we felt surprised to see a Denny's Touchless Auto Wash and a Denny's Coin Laundry. This Denny guy seems to own a lot! At the ice cream stand, an employee immediately greeted us. I asked him questions about two menu items, and he provided answers. He also allowed me to sample one ice cream for free. He accurately rang up our purchase and thanked us. Here are my reviews for the foods: Blue Moon - 4 stars - This ice cream tastes sweet and roughly similar to vanilla but is colored a unique blue. Hot fudge sundae - 4 stars - My husband ate this sundae. He said that it tasted good and typical. read more

We were staying near Presque Isle for a few days and decided we wanted some real ice cream! We found this little spot on Google and gave it a try. The area it's in seemed a little sketchy but the stand was nice. The service was quick and the food was good. He ordered some Oreo milkshake or something similar. I had a chili cheese fries. I found this late night got to it right before it closed. The people working seemed it good spirits and were jamming out. I had their version of a blizzard and it really hit the spot. The only reason I'm docking them a point is because I feel, as a person of the thicker persuasion, that they didn't provide an adequate amount of ice cream in the cup. read more

This was a cute little ice cream stand I went to visit while in Erie for the day. They've got lots of different flavors and blue moon and orange sherbet every day! They've got some great prices and lots of things to choose from. They also have fried food and other simple snack items for really cheap prices. They carry a special flavor of soft serve and frozen yogurt each day so keep an eye out for something special! The location wasn't hard to find on the corner of Parade and Tenth and I walked there in about 15 minutes from the center of town by the park. There isn't a ton of parking here but people seem to come and go pretty quickly so no worries. read more

Denny's did a fantastic job with social distancing and organizing their lines at the walk-up windows. The ice cream was good and two things stood out during our first visit. The blue moon soft-serve was a hit for our youngest as he loves blue moon hard ice cream. And the flurry was topped with our mix-in of choice -- the best!!!
