We have taken our daughter here since she was just over a year old. The patience of the staff is beyond commendable. Luckily our kiddo likes the dentist and Dakota Kids helps us keep it feeling like a good experience. The environment is fun and interactive and the spaces are pristine, not to mention a great view from the shared cleaning stations overlooking Minot's hills. terrible service!!! complete liars !!! they are racist!! when you care about your child they want you to just let them damage your children's gums! there was a grandma lady taking impressions of my daughters gums for a mold!!! She kept my daughters mouth open too long helping an employee put in codes for billing completely unprofessional!!!! My daughter's gums were bleeding and she had no concern. don't go here! Megan is a complete failure at her job has an attitude and told me about a calendar year .. which she clearly doesn't understand the definition of it!!! If I could give this trashy place 0 stars I would. Megan the so called surgery coordinator did nothing to help my situation. My son ate after 12am the day of his surgery which was not my doing I was at work until 1am and I have anxiety with anesthesia because I almost died being out the sleep and plus I've had a broken phone for 3 weeks now so I wasn't able to get the surgery reschedule right away. First they go thru Trinity Health for their surgeries which is already a red flag because I filed a grievance against the nurse that spoke to the day of my son's surgery because she was so rude to me. Then today I spoke with Meagan and let me tell you something I was nice at first until she started acting like she didn't wanna help me so I started raising my voice at her because she was no help and asked her to speak with the doctor in charge she said he was with a patient so I told her I'd hold so she comes back to the phone and says like the smart ass she was being "he's with patients until 1pm today would you like to hold" so I said okay let's not be a smart ass so I gave the number I needed them to call. This place is a joke and their surgery staff is a joke then instead of giving somebody a 2nd chance because things happen they'll refuse to see you and try to send you 2 hours now like everyone has transportation that far out. Megan needs to ask like she cares about her job and at least act like she wants to help ppl . read more

I have no qualms on the quality of care my daughter received as it was top notch and very personable. The issue I have is with the billing. On Thursday 12/17 my daughter went in to have two teeth extracted and another filled. I went to pay and having them tell me they would bill my insurance the last two times we went in. I was told I owed 162.00 and that would be the amount I would pay. Not a big deal, I told them to withdraw it from my card the next day as it would be payday and I gave them my card information. I was expecting the $162.00 to come out and budgeted in accordingly. I am low income. I have to budget in these expenses cause I was also planning on doing Christmas shopping and grocery shopping with what little money I get from working. I just got my hours cut, and I also had to take a pay cut as well with the holidays being slow. So imagine my surprise when I find out that they didn't take out 162.00 I owed but $298.00! I'm sorry but what?!?! Where did that come from. I wasn't told that I owed 298.00...or that I had a balance at previous appointments! I was told they would bill delta dental and nothing was owed at the time of service BOTH TIMES!!!!!! If I had been told I could've planned accordingly or set up another arrangement. I wouldn't be writing this review and I could've expected not to have overdrafted either. You can bet that I'm going to spam their facebook page and ask them what's up. I went here from when I was quite you all the way until I was 18. Always had a great experience, when I was a kid all my friends dreaded the dentist but I got excited to play games in the lobby and watch Disney movies whenever I got a tooth pulled or cavity filled. Dr. Beam has always been awesome and even into my teen years I knew I could switch over to his wife at Ritter Family but was just so comfortable and familiar with him and his staff. I highly recommend taking your kids here! I'm sure they will love it! read more

If your child missis 3 appointments for any reason they will ban you from going there! I thought it was a joke when I called to have my stepkids get in but they said because my oldest missed his appointment none of the kids could ever come back there again, she was very rude!! read more

Gave great advise the wait time was maybe 3 minutes very knowledgeable and sweet staff!

WOW!! I will not be bringing my kids back here... The hygienist was not very personable at all. She kept talking to my son like a baby even though it was clearly making him uncomfortable to the point where he felt like he needed to tell her that he is four. She was less than helpful during the exam its self and made him scream because he had no idea what was going on. On top of all this, it was obvious that she assumed I was ignorant because I'm young. She was also judgmental and condescending about my parenting choices. The dentist was actually a welcome relief compared to her. He made my son feel so much more comfortable after being traumatized by the polisher. read more

Dr Behm insisted my daughter be put under general anesthesia for two cavities. I got a second opinion at another dentist in ND. That dentist was willing to at least attempt the work before insisting on general anesthesia. I was right, the second dentist was able to complete the work with just laughing gas!!! They have a great reminder system, but poor service and a strange approach to late appt's. Coming from two hours away, and not very familiar with Minot (new to ND, no GPS or smart phone) I was 8 minutes late. The front desk said I would have to reschedule. WHAT?? I was incredibly upset, having gotten up at 5, to leave by 6am for this appt. I called from the parking lot and they said they had to implement this approach due to no shows. Yet there I was, and who then stepped into my children's appt? They offered to have us wait and see if someone didn't show...but the dentist had 11:00am surgery (so he would leave at 10:30, I would think) so it was iffy...Yes they have a 10minute late wait, but couldn't honor it for my children?? We were all so tired and so upset, it was unbelievable. SO. Word of advice. If you are driving any distance and dealing with road construction, oil rigs, increased truck traffic, road conditions, rush. carry your kids across the parking lot, fast. know in advance that this road looks like a frontage road and they are located in a building with other healthcare providers. If you enter from the back, it is to the left and don't pause to let children walk at their pace. Hurry. Because there isn't any late for them (although they say they do) and their how they handle it leaves a lot to be desired. Customer service is non existent. OR. Find some place else. read more

I took my daughter here in Fall 2015. The check-in process went smooth and they were very friendly. The hygienist was wonderful and the dentist was great! It was a wonderful experience when we were there. The reason for my lower rating and reason for never returning is because of the office manager. When I had called to make the appointment, I was told our insurance was accepted and I also made sure to verify that there would be no new patient exam fees as other dentists have. No mention of any coverage problems were mentioned when I gave my insurance information. I do not know who I spoke with when I made the appointment. It wasn't until after the exam was completed and I sat down with billing that I was told that our insurance doesn't pay anything and if they did, it would only be a few dollars. I explained that I would have not made the appointment if that had been explained at the time I made the appointment. I was under the impression that the exam would be covered. That person asked about secondary insurance and I mentioned that my husband and I had it, but was not sure my daughter was on it. We decided to try it. Neither insurance paid anything. I had been planning on paying the total amount, but when the office called to confirm a future appointment, I thought I would ask about the possibility of receiving a cash discount. The lady said they do that sometimes and transferred me to Bridget, the office manager. I wasn't even able to finish telling her my story as she continued to interrupt me and she flat out told me (rudely) that I would have been told the restriction on the policy when I made the appointment, even though I wasn't. I asked her to please let me finish what I was saying as she was cutting me off. She proceeded to raise her voice saying "you are cutting ME off". I told her I wouldn't have made the appointment if they would have just told me initially what they told me after the appointment. I said I wasn't fighting the fact that insurance didn't cover it, I was just wondering if I could receive the 10% cash discount as I was going to be paying the bill fully in cash. She then yelled at me "I am NOT giving you a cash discount as you did have insurance"! She proceeded to yell, but I hung up as I wasn't going to listen to her speak that way to me. As a professional, representing a business, she was very rude and condescending. She never once apologized for any possible misunderstanding there might have been. Based on the dentist and the hygienist, I may have considered returning, even if insurance would not have covered it, but now based on my conversation with Bridget, I will never return nor will I recommend their office to anyone. That is too bad, that because of one person's unprofessional behavior, they are losing a patient. read more
