We had a group of adults and kiddos from 6 months to 6 years old. We all had fun including the adults. It is obviously new but was clean and the character of it all was just fun. Be prepared for kiddos to get wet at the water feature esp if they are young. We had water up to the elbows. Tshirts on sale upstairs for the save. Finding out you could play then go have some lunch and return is also something good to be aware of. We had great help and greetings from the lovely gals at the front upon entering. Can't wait to go back. I'm sure my grandkids will ask every time we are in Minot.

The Scandinavian Heritage Center in Minot promotes Scandinavian culture through replicas and…read moresculptures such as a stave church and dala horse. The association manages the park and there are donations boxes if you would like to donate and help honor and preserve Scandinavian culture and traditions. This area is dog friendly. All dogs must be on a leash. The area is very park like with wide walking trails, signs, buildings, picnic tables, and it's a great place to have a picnic. I found the grounds extremely well maintained and it was very peaceful. We went during a weekend when the buildings weren't open, although it was still interesting to explore and learn more about Scandinavian culture. They also hosts events throughout the year and it's also a venue for events like weddings. Highly recommend visiting!

Coming from a very Swedish background I had a such a wonderful time here. We arrived early in the morning and had the place to ourselves to take wacky photos with the Dala horse and enjoy the quaint little buildings. The woman working in the church was wonderful to chat with and told us everything we could possibly want to know about the architectural history of each structure. The gift shop had some really unique gifts and was moderately priced. I stocked up on postcards and Leif Erikson magnets. If you are in Minot it would be a shame to pass this place up.
