Leach Park is what you would expect from a park. Here's what it offers:…read more- playground - basketball court - tennis courts (with pickleball lines painted on them!!!) - picnic tables - trees - a pavilion - open field areas - restrooms -compost collection We've been frequenting Leach Park lately because of the pickleball court lines drawn on the tennis courts. (TIP: you can adjust the nets so they're lower for pickleball! (nets should be 34 inches high in the center and 36 inches high at the sidelines.)) The courts are nice enough -- after it rains, water pools near the net though. The playground at Leach Park isn't anything spectacular, but it's still enough to provide a few hours of fun for little kids. There are 3 slides, 3 regular swings, 1 toddler swing, and a few structures to climb on. The ground is covered in mulch. Basically, Leach park is your typical park! It's nothing fancy, but there's also nothing wrong with it. Right now it wins as the best park in Minot because of the pickleball court lines! Woot woot!

All dogs must be on a leash. The area is very park like with wide walking trails, signs, buildings, picnic tables, and it's a great place to have a picnic. I found the grounds extremely well maintained and it was very peaceful. We went during a weekend when the buildings weren't open, although it was still interesting to explore and learn more about Scandinavian culture. They also hosts events throughout the year and it's also a venue for events like weddings. Highly recommend visiting!

Comprised of three hangars, one large artifact room, and a lawn full of statically displayed aircraft, this museum has more than what meets the eye. Positioned a little off the main road rest this local wonder in humble silence. An inconspicuous red sign that subtly screams "Air Museum" is the only thing in the entire town that alerts individuals that such an adventure awaits them. Our adventure begin when my family stayed for a long weekend. We had always seen the sign from the road but never made time; however, with family in town, how else is one going to fill up a four-day weekend in Minot, ND. Therefore, we decided that a few hours at this local attraction could help accomplish that goal. I was both right and wrong about my assumption. I was right in the fact that our time here definitely helped pass the time, but wrong in the arrogant thought that this was a fly-by-night establishment hanging on to life by one financial thread. This place is amazing! Filled with artifacts and aircraft that detail epochs of American history from Kitty Hawk to Operation Iraqi Freedom, this place literally has it all...once again this place is amazing. Honestly, I could spin threads upon threads about how great this place is, and the sheer tonnage of artifacts that comprise this museum is incredible. If you're a local and have never been, go now! If you're passing through and need to fill your time with enriching substance, this is your place. However, get ready because your mind will be blown.
