I will start by saying that Amanda is very friendly and outgoing, and that we had no problems in studio except that we did not have a choice about colours or backgrounds for the Newborn Package 2. Also, we were told that our package did not cover certain sets, so I just went along with what she said because she's the "professional". When we left, I forgot to ask about the turn around time so I sent her a FB message 5 days later (that was our means of communication previously) because my mom asked me to check; my mom was very excited to see photos of her first grandchild. I was sure to say that I did not expect the photos right away, I just wanted to know the timeline. I did not receive a response so 10 days after the last message (15 days after the shoot) I sent another message just asking about the timeline...still not expecting to receive the photos. She did not respond to us, instead 2 days later I received the photos and she did not touch up anything that she said she would. My poor beautiful baby had peeling skin and redness. I do not like to give bad reviews and looking back at the photos, it makes me so sad that Amanda did not try to provide a finished product. I thought that I was choosing a good package based on the number of photos and time in studio, I did not think that it would affect the quality of the work that I would receive. I waited for awhile before commenting, thinking that I was being too picky, but even now, almost nine months later, I am so sad that we weren't able to capture our newborn properly. I thought that if I booked a follow up session, then I could discuss my concerns in person and maybe she would fix her work. We booked on the 26 Sept for a 19 Nov session. On the 27 Oct, she advised me that she doesn't do follow up session on those days. Suffice to say, I would highly recommend going elsewhere. UPDATE: Since posting the above review, I reached out to discuss my displeasure because I hate giving negative reviews. She threatened legal action if I do not remove my review and insulted the looks of my baby. STAY AWAY she is very unstable. I could not believe the comments made. I should not have reached out to try and resolve the situation as you cannot rationalize with an irrational person.

Despite the fact that I'm a trainer and I spend the vast majority of my time in front of a…read moreclassroom "hamming it up", I hate having my picture taken. It's not that I dislike pictures of myself, I have normal enough level of narcissism to enjoy looking at pictures of me. It's that I simply don't know how to act in front of a camera - how big do I smile? how should I pose? Normally it's not that big of a problem, except for the fact that I needed a headshot for work. Despite my best efforts to handle this on my own, I could never get a shot that looked good. This is when I turned to Robin at unposed. I'd heard great things about her work before and had always been impressed by what I'd seen. So when I was up in Ottawa I scheduled an appointment and stopped on by. Robin was very flexible in the appointment time, meeting with me on a Friday night (I was working during the day). She gave me full instructions on what to expect and what to bring to the shoot, making the entire thing idiot proof. During the shoot itself, Robin kept me completely off-guard, having me do all sorts of oddball things. While I originally thought that would make me more self-conscious, in reality it helped me loosen up. I was less focused on the fact that there was a camera in front of me and more focused on what I was being told to do and think about. As for the results, I couldn't be happier. Nor could my wife, for that matter. (In fact, she wants to head out to Ottawa just so we can get shots done as a couple.) Robin did a fantastic job, and I can't recommend her highly enough to anyone needing her services.
