Every single time, they bring on extreme patience, compassion, and smiles in setting fraught with anxiety: children's dentistry. My youngest son recently completed some intense dental work that he needed, which went beautifully the first visit and more difficult the second visit. The entire time I cringed internally and was so impressed with how wonderfully the staff members spoke with my child. By the third visit, my son was more wiser to what was going to happen and after attempting the original plan just did not work, the awesomely kind and wonderful dentist gave me some different options for how to proceed. I chose a middle ground and we went for it, and they powered through some difficult moments, but I felt very confident in knowing that my child was not actually being hurt. It is not easy to watch your child struggle and cry, but my trust in these people is very high. And it worked! After a few tense minutes, the work was done and my son sat up and immediately wanted to play video games. Yes, they have a side room inside the office where kids can play old school nintendo, and my kids luckily mostly identify their visits with getting to play video games, and the treat they get on the way out. The also always awesome front desk staff explained on our way out that we should consider coming in not during an appointment, especially after halloween, to let the office buy back my kids halloween candy, and experience the office when they don't have to get dental work done. I booked an appointment within one week and they were able to see both of my children. Their schedule starts early in the morning we were at the location at 8 AM which is perfect for us and our schedule. We chose this office because they do allow parents to go in the back with their children. The front lobby was very clean and nice looking. I have seen fun front lobbies for children with games and etc. but this lobby was there a simple with just a TV screen and some chairs but very clean. Not having the toys in the front lobby was fine because our wait time was about five minutes, which was perfect with the kids. When we went to the back, the kids were very excited as they do have TV screens on the ceiling while the kids are getting their teeth cleaned. The dental hygienist and the doctor was very thorough and very knowledgeable. Both of my kids have two different types of teeth and they were very knowledgeable with them. They were ready and able to answer any inquiring questions that we had. Overall, we did enjoy our visit. We were in and out and about 45 minutes to an hour. She was nervous, more than she probably should have been but regardless she was. As I was trying to calm her the doctor told me I was making things worse, and I was making them too nervous to do their job. We went into the hallway and she continued in a very condescending tone, to tell me that I was causing an issue and it was making them hard to do their job. I calmly said "with all due respect, Can we just stop this conversation and you can proceed?" The Dr. then says to me "I am sorry we cannot help you with that attitude, you will need to leave." Usually people do not say that they had a great time at the dentist, but I had a blast. The staff....each and every one of them were just very down-to-earth and kind. Not a frown in the office. I only waited for about 10 mins after checking in. The lobby was immaculate and smelled wonderful. Oh, what I loved too was that you park and the door is right there. No hunting for the location and wandering around like a mad person in this heat. It was very easy to get to. So anyway.... I was taken back to the room, which was not closed off yet private enough that I did not feel the whole office was looking in my mouth. His assistant (Orianna...I remember the Anna part..sorry girl) asked me what brought me in and I explained all of my concerns. She made me feel comfortable with being really honest with her about my issues. She took x-rays and was super conversational in the process which continued to help calm my jitters. The doctor came in and ran a thorough review of my mouth and my x-rays. All I know is, the last dentist I visited was not as detailed with a game plan on how to get me back to 100%. He broke everything down in layman's terms. I was able to understand the what and the why to get us to a final outcome that we both would be happy with. I appreciate how willing they were to take the time to explain everything to me. I left with no unanswered questions and future appointments have been booked. I have already referred a close friend, and I am sure she will keep the trend after she visits with Dr. M and his team. I have not been so optimistic on my oral health in a long time. I gotta say, it was a good day!
