Dr. Rozenn has been absolutely amazing. She has helped me more than I ever would have believed…read morepossible. Last November I had to go off of work on disability after being diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome following my 5th case of mono (Ebstein Barr Virus). Essentially it means that I was too tired to function on a basic level (anything beyond laying on the couch was too much for me) and they couldn't tell me why or when I would get better. Any labs that were run came back a little odd sometimes but were within the normal range, so I kept being told to just rest. I saw my doctor, a rheumatologist, and an endocrinologist who all told me nothing was wrong. After going through this for several months (my symptoms started in September), I finally decided to see Dr. Rozenn on the advice of my chiropractor. I thought she might be able to run different tests than what my traditional doctors could and might uncover something that she could help with herbs, etc. I really didn't think much of the acupuncture itself and wasn't sure I even wanted to try it. I had my first visit with Dr. Rozenn in January. We went through my entire medical history. She was the first doctor to look at my history (5 rounds of mono, 2 cases of chicken pox, etc.) and agree with me that something was not right, even if there wasn't an obvious cause to point to. We ended that session with an acupuncture treatment. Her style of acupuncture is very distinct and isn't widely practiced. She palpitated my stomach to find the areas that were upset and then used pressure points to figure out what was causing the distress and how to balance it back out. It was fascinating to watch. I was a mess of different issues. Almost immediately after this first appointment, I had an uptick in my energy for the first time in months. It was shocking. I continued seeing Dr. Rozenn on a weekly basis as she continued to treat my issues. On my 3rd appointment she was able to tell me that she believed my main issue was an inflamed liver that wasn't functioning well. The doctors later confirmed that I had a fatty liver about 2 months later! I returned to work part time in February, and have continued seeing Dr. Rozenn. She continued treating me with acupuncture, eventually adding in herbs and gentle lifestyle changes that would assist the process. She even treated some longtime sinus and migraine issues at the same time. In mid-May I was able to return to work full time and we've begun spreading out my appointments. Jan-May might seem like a long time to some people, but my diagnosis from my traditional doctor was that I might get better after a few weeks, or a few months, or a few years. Or I might not. And they really couldn't tell me why or what to do about it. Dr. Rozenn truly took me from a no-win situation and gave me my life back. Whatever issue you may have, even if it doesn't seem like a traditional acupuncture "issue", if you want to try an alternative approach, I highly recommend Dr. Rozenn. Let me tell you that Dr. Rozenn is extraordinary in her abilities and her commitment to your health and restoring your full body to optimal function! I went to her for some chronic pain issues and some nagging dermatitis. Itchy, annoying patches that showed up off and on. I was inspired to go because she assisted in the pregnancy of my daughter and I now have a beautiful granddaughter, so I already knew Dr Rozenn was a healer. Short story is this: the dermatitis is gone and much of the joint pain I suffered has abated. Additionally I have a integrated feeling in my body which is hard to describe in western terms but makes my daily exercise; hiking, aerobics and weights a breeze and I am long past 50! Plus she is caring and wise. If you aren't sure, just try it once! You will be so glad you did!

I've had wonderful, life-changing visits with the staff at Five Branches. Following intestinal…read moresurgery for cancer in 2012, I started going initially for grief. The treatments were incredibly healing for my soul, and of course the soul and body are connected :) So, the interns started focusing on helping me with digestion and pain. By choice, I've had only interns, with the supervision of licensed practitioners working with me. A supervisor and a licensed practitioner, Maria Mitchell (a GENIUS!) has been especially helpful. These sessions are $27 and last more than an hour. Try getting that at a traditional doctor's office! The sessions are very thorough...lots of questions to find out how I'm doing and about my body's good and bad indicators. To be left in the room with needles in place, quiet and in the dark as is my preference, is transformational. Three years out, I feel so much better about my body's ability and capacity to heal, all with the guidance of these wise young interns and their supervisors. My weekly visit is such a wonderful treat to myself. I consider it part of my regimen, just as I exercise and eat right, to keep my body healthy. The front desk staff is helpful and friendly, the interns are knowledgeable and intuitive, and the entire experience is positive. I highly recommend Five Branches!

The muscles in my legs were really tight so that may have been why my body reacted so badly but they didn't seem to know that might be an issue or ask me about anything. Both times they left needles in me that I had to pick out afterwards, and they scheduled the second appointment a few days after the first instead of letting my body adjust which may have contributed to it. I have been depressed about it and felt like there eas no point saying anything for months, but I'm feeling more determined about things now so I am speaking up about the horrible experience I had so others might not have that experience. It's quite likely you will get a different and more skilled acupuncturist if you go here, but I'm just warning you that there is a chance you will end up having a bad experience like I did here.

I had seen numerous practitioners over the prior 4 years to some relief but Loki was able to address the pain in a systematic root function approach and got me to a place where I have not had issues in that area since. I've had other issues come up with low back/hip/piriformus pain and limited mobility due to injury and he has helped relieve my pain levels and address on-going anxiety and depression. He is great at listening to determine root causes of pain and providing accurate medical documentation to medical coding so it translates to the western medical system. Additionally his migraine treatment that he offers has helped ward those off. I've seen many acupuncturist over the years but none that are as holistic and effective as Loki. He genuinely is a wonderful, caring individual and you can tell his goal is to support his patients to achieve their health goals and live pain free.
