Went this past Saturday to schedule an appointment thinking they would be open on Sunday. Found out they're not open on Sundays and i told the owner how i really was hoping to get a good haircut from him because he always does great and my grandmas funeral was on Monday and being the pallbearer in front of 80+ ppl. i hate to have to write this review, cause I definitely recommend this barbershop if you're going to see Dale himself or I've heard the other guy is pretty good also!! but last time I went there Dale didn't have any spots so I let the girl (Lara I think her name is) cut my hair cause I needed a cut that day. She pushed my hair line up higher on the left side, didn't do my taper like I asked! You know I never write reviews but I am pissed. After telling Lara that I'm a cancer patient and how long it took me to grow my hair out I told her just cut the sides and trim off any broken hair I have (last haircut in October so not that much broken hair) I didn't get a cut since October to grow it out after telling her how I struggled to grow it since chemo she didn't even ask me hey is this ok to take this much off she just did it she cut 3 inches off! Minimum. After I told her to leave the length and I use it to cover up bold patches I get from treatments. She took off in 5 minutes what took me over a year to grow. She totally ignored my explicit directions I even showed 2 photos which she obviously ignored and barely looked at. I know this seems trivial it's just hair but to someone who lost most of her hair and took 3 years to grow back and it grows super slow it's so inconsiderate. Not to mention she shaved the front hairline. Never in 3 years did any barber shaved front hairline for me. I understand I have a modern hip cut but im a woman don't give me a man cut and if you aren't sure talk ask communicate. She did a great job on one part and the other side she totally just made symmetrical and did what SHE thought I should look like. After that fiasco and me literally crying my girlfriends told me I can't believe I went there I should have asked them. Don't get me wrong the haircut isn't bad. But I went from plump Elvis hair to Hitler. She made both sides symmetrical with shaving so it took the volume and thickness away. Who asked you to? Did you even listen to me? Cut hair how the customer is asking you not how you think you should. Listen to what the customer wants. And if you aren't sure ASK Dont GET happy. So if you wanna go somewhere where they give you what YOU want don't go here. I'm going back to my regular amazing z never again big mistake to try someone new who is careless and doesn't listen. Sorry I have to write a poor review. Had 1 great cut when you opened and went back a month later for a hopeful repeat. Two of us sat down in an empty waiting room at 2:45pm mid week and were told to come back tomorrow. Never really heard of a barber shop that turns away customers, I'm used to waiting but to be told come back tomorrow is bad for business. Thinking it was just a bad day I was even more shocked when a friend of mine had the exact same thing happen except He went back the next day, waited for a bit and again, was told to come back the next day. if it's by appointment only you should hang a sign. read more

I received from Dale's Barber Shop the best haircut I've got in several years. Derek was the cutter and he did a terrific job. You might want to call ahead to set up an appointment, although I was a walk-in and the only dude working there scrambled to ensure a barber was coming in soon. I appreciate that kind of service.
