Spoke with 2 employees from this agency. The second of which told me they were submitting my resume to a company for review. I specifically asked how quick feedback is usually received from the company and was told generally quickly. I checked in 2 times with the associate, no update. Fast forward to almost a month later, still nothing. I emailed to withdraw my application due to a lack of communication and was told that it is my responsibility to check in, not the associate's, because they are so busy with other candidates. Just a piece of advice, if you treat candidates this way, you will lose them. You are going to have an extremely tough time finding quality candidates if you expect candidates to reach out to you 3+ times for an update. read more

Don't work with Westly Tyrrel from this firm. I applied for couple positions on their sites and LinkedIn.. A few days later, Westly called me and telling me that their system screwed up and couldn't figure out what position I applied and asked me if i could remember. It has been for a few days and there were so many positions. I didn't remember exactly. I picked two positions. One of the position was in north of Boston. He asked me why I am interested at North since I live in South. I told him it is hybrid and if it is good opportunity, I wouldn't mind. Besides that, they didn't list location name. It could be not too far. He didn't reply. And then i ask for the 2nd job, he said it is too heavy on me. I tried to be nice and mentioned if there is anything new matched my background, please let me know. He didn't bother to reply. I don't think he should not be one to worry about the location of job for me, he is just a job agent. Anyway don't use him, he won't do anything good for you. read more

Sorry I didn't give an update until now, but I was so frustrated with the whole experience last year that I just wanted to forget about it at the time. In a nutshell, I went to the interview and was given an address with the suite number 600. I arrived about 15 minutes early (despite Howie playing micromanager over the phone while I was walking up and down the street trying to find the place) and waited....and waited....and waited.....there was no visible receptionist, so I was completely lost as to what to do. Then, about 10-15 minutes after my interview was scheduled, a woman came down the elevators and realized who I was. Turns out the company is on multiple floors and their reception area is on the 12th floor, not the 6th. As you can expect, the interview was then completely rushed and a complete bust. And the icing on the cake was the $8 I spent for 78 minutes of parking in downtown Sacramento. For them to be so out of touch that they don't even know the correct suite number to give applicants - that's just sad. read more

Got a call 10 minutes late from a rep at Daley and Associates representing a life sciences company for a bench scientist job. Not only was she late but also she did not follow through by email as promised and asked me an illegal interview question. Sloppy, lazy and unprofessional. Gave me a lame excuse that the position was "too entry level" for me. My personal feeling is that they need a trained science professional to decide that. But, in truth, they probably knew the position would not meet my expectations as a real permanent position with benefits. In an earlier post, it is also mentioned by another Yelper, but I am lead to believe the job as with other jobs they advertise was a temporary position disguised as a full time, salaried direct hire position with full benefits. I have seen atleast 2 other recruiting companies use this slimy tactic and would advise using extreme caution when dealing with this particular recruiting company (and any others for that matter). As with most jobs, you are best off applying directly to companies without a middleman involved, period. I come to this conclusion over and over and over. One less hassle to deal with. However, also, as with anything, the quality of your experience and outcome will also depend on the quality of your indivisual recruiter. There are very high quality recruiting firms out there (who specialize placing in regular full time jobs). In my lifetime, I have always said, to paraphrase Benjamin Franklin, "people who make excuses are good for little or nothing", as an answer to their lame excuses and comments below. Substandard recruiting practices should be considered inexcusable. Well, 1) the lady could have called or emailed and said she would be calling 10 minutes late, 2) the company should make it clear (if it is) that the position is a contract position paying $X per hour with no paid relocation & transport, 3) the lady did not apologize for her illegal interview question (excessively rude, unnerving and untowards) despite being "educated" in basic employment laws involved in the interview process, 4) zero follow through despite promising follow through. Definitely not a science, medical nor engineering major. I hope that they do take this follow through seriously to better their recruiters. My brief encounter with one of their life science reps led me to believe they don't have basic, fundamental interpersonal skills needed for their roles. I'm going to give three stars but it's really hit or miss depending on the person that works with you. I had been reached out by a recruiter who really laid out some interesting opportunities and we scheduled some interviews. Talking with him was a breath of fresh air as he sounded very committed to what I want. I was able to actually receive an offer letter from a different company unrelated from the opportunities at Daley so I had called to let them know I would be cancelling the interviews. The recruiter was really supportive of my decision and I could tell he was excited for me in finding a job! I would definitely work with him again for my next career change down the line. Then, a "senior recruiter" called me and this is where things went downhill This senior recruiter was heavily insisting I do the other interviews and said that I was "feeling pressure" over my offer letter and that I didn't have the experience to understand the choice I was making taking a job. He started going on about glassdoor reviews between the companies and really was trying to put a lot of doubt over my decision and make me sound "inexperienced." When I told him that the position aligns with what I want both in a career choice and as a culture fit, and that I did not feel that the other companies that were suggested would be a right fit he abruptly hung up. It was extremely unprofessional and ridiculous. If I ever plan to work through them again I will make sure to have the same recruiter as last time and will insist that the "senior recruiter" is not involved at all. read more

Talk about lip service. Everyone was so nice and professional. Then when the perfect job came up I never heard back. I left voice mails and sent emails. No response. Finally I called the main number to ask for my rep and he actually got on the phone with me. He was NO HELP. just said he still hadn't heard back. No excuse for not returning any of my messages. It has been over two weeks and still have not heard a peep... How unprofessional. I would never have wasted my time. I found this firm lacking in many areas. First, the pay they offer for the positions is absolutely atrocious. I know WalMart employees who make more than they were offering for financial services positions that they wanted years experience for. I found the person I dealt with wishy washy, and then downright rude. They make money when they place qualified people, they should probably ease up on the attitude. I was referred to this employment agency by a friend. I emailed one of the recruiters, and she responded within minutes telling me to send her my resume and we can chat after the weekend. So far so good. However, Monday rolled around and there was no response. I waited a week before emailing her again to check in and see if she could still help me. Still have yet to get a response. Sad that this is how their recruiters operate. If she didn't think she had a job that matched my experience the least she could've done was sent me an email saying so. read more

I've dealt with used car salesmen who are not as pushy as these guys are. I was basically forced into a job by these guys and hated every minute of it. I left before a year and told them and even though they had touted this as the best job out there and the place I would retire, the only thing that they could say was that maybe it wasn't the right fit. They actually had the nerve to ask me if I wanted to consider other jobs through them. These guys are only interested in sealing the deal and making money for themselves. Please do not waste your time with Daley. The friend of mine, who knows Mike Daley, recommended me this agency and it was huge disappointment after I met with Mike and one of his associates. Clearly, they only interested in you if you have 10+ years of experience and looking for a job of VP, so they can make a lot of money on you. Just like any other agency, they invite you to their office and you will never hear from them again. Please do not waste your time. They look professional, but they really are not. At the end of our meeting Mike suggested that I should consider CPA and offer to come to his classes that he runs every Sunday in his office. How smart it is trying to get some money from me! Did an in-person meeting with them before they send over my resume to the hiring company. Totally unprofessional. Knew very little about the role. Then they brought in a manager who tried to hard sell and tried to do the intimidating interview thing to see how I would perform. I've had very difficult interviews before, but this was patronizing and unprofessional. At one point he said that I must have killed some brain cells. I told him I had other interviews that I was more interested in - to which he replied that those roles are probably at smaller companies that aren't as well known as his. He really belittled every other company including the ones on my resume. He belittled my approach to answering interview questions and never truly gave constructive feedback. He held up a finger to shush me when I was talking even though he had talked over me multiple times through the 30 minute sessions. At one point I realized I could not give this man a satisfactory answer because he always had a negative condescending answer to contradict me or to argue why I'm wrong. He got snarky when I told him the role I want and he said to look it up online, only Ivy League people get those roles. Which isn't true, maybe the top firms get Ivy, but I have interviews for smaller firms without an Ivy background. This interview was clearly a test, but the approach was totally unprofessional. No need to treat people disrespectfully​ to put them under pressure. It really felt like a male chauvinism thing once he started talking about how he's done this for 35 years. If you have feedback, give feedback. Breaking down a candidate's confidence like this is the last thing you want to do before sending them to a real interview. read more

The recruiter bent over backwards to keep me informed. He always checked in with me to see that everything was taken care of properly and that I had the right information regarding the assignment. Ive never felt so disrespected from any company before . My recruiter was very unprofessional and rude. My first interview was decent and i sent in all the paperwork that was required from me. Then I was told to call back a week later. I did just that and i was ask to resend my paperwork because it "seem to be misplaced." That wasnt a huge problem to me so i resent them and gave him a call back when i was done. From then on the service went horrible. First he started off saying he couldnt remember me or my interview then began asking ridiculous questions like "how did our interview end? did it seem like i liked you? what were my last words to you? did i tell you i would call u back?" what kinda question is that??? so i must pass a test to see if my recuiter likes me first???? Ive never had any problems interviewing and ive never ever heard any recuiter or manager ask unprofessional questions like that. Then to top it off it he so called set me up with a placement job and he was going to email me all the info and to prepare myself for work that Monday.
