Very nice, friendly and welcoming personnel. After you sign-in and complete the waivers they explain the process and you get to pick the frit mix (small chips of colored glass) that you are going to use for your project. Then they conduct a demonstration of what you will be doing. And finally, you go in the order of your arrival to fabricate your glass piece. Here's where the experience fell short for me.... First, I wish you really got to make the glass piece and actually learned something about glass blowing. They really make the piece for you. $70 per person for what you get is not great value. So if three people go you're at $225 with tax. Remember, you are paying for the experience, I keep telling myself but it's not changing my opinion. I felt very rushed through the process. Was really looking for more of a learning and creative exercise than being pushed through the steps. This is a very hot activity for 107 degree summer days, if you still choose to experience glass blowing, then it is best to come when it's cooler outside. They have no problem booking up and you have to register well in advance, but I just crossed this off my list.... been there, done that, next.

I bought my husband and I a class for a joint Christmas present this past holiday. Hubby was a little skeptical of why glass blowing.... But it was so interesting! And fun! And really really hot. I can't imagine doing it is summer. Registration online was super simple. We were first to arrive last Sunday and they checked us in right away. We also met the resident pooch, Chai. A sweetheart. We had signed up for the beer and wine glass class and we got to pick out our color combos. Being first there also meant I got to be the first to go! There were 3 instructors and to be honest, they do most of the work but they explained the process and you are actually assisting. We are headed to pick up our finished product since it's about 900degrees when finished and they use a very slow cool down curing process. Photos of our masterpiece s to follow.

This is a hot date activity literally, and figuratively! If you're a fan of glass, this is a must try. Super fun, extremely interesting process, and you get to make some really amazing items. Can't wait to get the finished products in the mail. Instructor was very informative, and gave a great presentation on how to make awesome items, and have fun while doing it. We think were gonna need a return visit to make some other things! Highly recommend!

It was a blast! It was also hot so if you do it, do it when it is cold outside if you can. You will be working close to the glory hole which is well over a thousand degrees and the radiant heat from that alone will make your hands feel rather toasty. My wife and I booked a private lesson for her birthday. The deal we did was a 90 minute class that cost $295 (I think this price has gone up to $325). If you are prepared and work quickly, you will both be able to make about four items. There are bigger classes but you may be there with 20 people and they only work with a few at a time so you may only get to make one thing and spend the rest of your time watching other people. With just the two of us, it was very interactive. Lots of questions back and forth and lots of fun. Kind of the difference between a group ski lesson and a private lesson. You really do get what you pay for. By prepared I mean know what you want to make. For all three class types there are certain kinds of things you can make and things you can't. Look on their website in advance. Know what you want to make and have a rough idea of what colors you want. We went in with a list of colors and quickly found out that there were some colors they just don't have. Grey for example. If you want a vase, you can have two colors. Same for flowers. One for the stem and one for the flower. There are predefined color combinations that they have available aside from some basic colors. Some work chemically well with others and some don't. We got there a half hour early and went through our design ideas with one of their staff before we went to the hot shop. We figured out what we wanted to make, what colors they would be, and the order in which we would make them. For example, there were three presents in the bunch so they went first. We knew we would probably be able to make three things each so we each knew what those three would be and what the fourth would be if we had time. Being prepared was probably why we had no problem getting all 8 things made. The instructor is great. Very friendly and VERY helpful. He went through the creation of a flower first to show us the steps. Then you take turns making things. My wife went first and we alternated from there. The instructor will do the rather hard things. He will gather the glass on the rods, if there is actual blowing involved, he will do that due to covid. But you will apply the colors to the glass, heat the glass in the glory hole, help with manipulating the glass to the shape you want, all with the instructor either very close by or with his hands helping you so you won't mess up. At no time was I afraid I would mess something up because he was always close by to lend a hand. Afterall, they want you to have fun and make something you like. We ended up making four flowers and four mini vases. We had four items finished in the first 40 minutes. Again, it helps to know what you want. But that didn't keep our instructor from giving us some ideas about color combinations and what you could do WITH the color in the glass while we were going down the list. We ended up taking his advice multiple times. Anyway, it was a lot of fun and I highly recommend it.

We came here to celebrate a friends birthday. Everyone had a chance to make a bowl or a flower with two colors of their choosing. It was an absolutely wonderful experience. The staff was thorough in reviewing all the steps involved in making your art peice. They were friendly, comical and even took photos of people offering to text it to them. It was byob so we brought our own food and drinks and had ourselves a party! If you are looking for something new and fun to do in the dfw, I highly recommend this spot! I definitely plan to come back and make something else!

What an awesome experience for the whole family from 9-90. Everyone can do this because of the incredible staff that walks you through the entire process. We were able to learn about the process of creating art with glass. And we got to make our own piece of art that will remind us of this experience forever. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. You can't make a mistake. They walk you through everything. We will be back fo sure.

This place was AMAZING! Went today with my dad and had a great time. There is a seating area where you can sit a and watch them make glass art, things you can make are limited but change every month. Workers are very nice and walked us through everything. 100% recommend!!

Instantly, you'll arrive upon a quaint, bright, and modern gallery space filled with beautiful works of art. There are a variety of vivid and whimsical pieces that are sure to catch your attention. There are mostly abstract pieces, and some unique surreal pieces too. The medium used is mostly acrylic paints, which is a personal favorite of mine. Miss Ginger Fox herself doesn't pressure you or watch you while you view her gallery which is great. This little treasure trove of the Bishop Arts District is a must-see after grabbing some Eno's Pizza or Emporium Pies. There are some signs that say "No Pictures" though, so please be respectful to the artist. Pricing is in the thousands, but I think they're worth it. Every piece speaks for itself and is abstract enough to put anywhere in your residence. As an (amateur) artist myself, this gallery inspires me to experiment with more accidental, broad, and messy strokes. If in the area, you must peep through and get inspired yourself!

So, is it called 1976 because many believe it is the most consequential year in the history of modern China? (It's Chinese-American owned). Or is the birth year of one of the Law family siblings? I'd guess it's bridging old school 1976 analog craftsmanship with the digital revolution-led letterpress and screen printing, since the store is the intersection of traditional craftsmanship and modern design, with a fully operational letterpress studio (they produce their own stationery), housing vintage, antique printing presses. They also curate independent art and host hands-on workshops. So, the name We Are 1976 suggests a collective identity rooted in a specific era, and their tagline "our dear assembly" is likely their way of saying, "This is the group of people, machines, and beautiful objects we have gathered together." We stopped at Eatzi's on the way to pick up wine for the girls, beer for the boy, and snacks to nom on. The building was hard to find, because it was not well-lit in the front, but it will probably be the only storefront that is lit at all. We walked in, threw our drinks in the fridge and got to work sorting through all the books of idea paintings. I have never considered myself very artistic and was pretty nervous to pick something out and completely butcher it, but I found something that I thought I would probably buy if I saw it in a store and went to work. This was one of the most fun random Friday nights I have had in Dallas. Susan was fantastic and helped us all try different techniques and ideas. We made friends with the other parties there, both young and old. And all of our canvases turned out so well!
