Very nice, friendly and welcoming personnel. After you sign-in and complete the waivers they explain the process and you get to pick the frit mix (small chips of colored glass) that you are going to use for your project. Then they conduct a demonstration of what you will be doing. And finally, you go in the order of your arrival to fabricate your glass piece. Here's where the experience fell short for me.... First, I wish you really got to make the glass piece and actually learned something about glass blowing. They really make the piece for you. $70 per person for what you get is not great value. So if three people go you're at $225 with tax. Remember, you are paying for the experience, I keep telling myself but it's not changing my opinion. I felt very rushed through the process. Was really looking for more of a learning and creative exercise than being pushed through the steps. This is a very hot activity for 107 degree summer days, if you still choose to experience glass blowing, then it is best to come when it's cooler outside. They have no problem booking up and you have to register well in advance, but I just crossed this off my list.... been there, done that, next.

I bought my husband and I a class for a joint Christmas present this past holiday. Hubby was a little skeptical of why glass blowing.... But it was so interesting! And fun! And really really hot. I can't imagine doing it is summer. Registration online was super simple. We were first to arrive last Sunday and they checked us in right away. We also met the resident pooch, Chai. A sweetheart. We had signed up for the beer and wine glass class and we got to pick out our color combos. Being first there also meant I got to be the first to go! There were 3 instructors and to be honest, they do most of the work but they explained the process and you are actually assisting. We are headed to pick up our finished product since it's about 900degrees when finished and they use a very slow cool down curing process. Photos of our masterpiece s to follow.

This is a hot date activity literally, and figuratively! If you're a fan of glass, this is a must try. Super fun, extremely interesting process, and you get to make some really amazing items. Can't wait to get the finished products in the mail. Instructor was very informative, and gave a great presentation on how to make awesome items, and have fun while doing it. We think were gonna need a return visit to make some other things! Highly recommend!

It was a blast! It was also hot so if you do it, do it when it is cold outside if you can. You will be working close to the glory hole which is well over a thousand degrees and the radiant heat from that alone will make your hands feel rather toasty. My wife and I booked a private lesson for her birthday. The deal we did was a 90 minute class that cost $295 (I think this price has gone up to $325). If you are prepared and work quickly, you will both be able to make about four items. There are bigger classes but you may be there with 20 people and they only work with a few at a time so you may only get to make one thing and spend the rest of your time watching other people. With just the two of us, it was very interactive. Lots of questions back and forth and lots of fun. Kind of the difference between a group ski lesson and a private lesson. You really do get what you pay for. By prepared I mean know what you want to make. For all three class types there are certain kinds of things you can make and things you can't. Look on their website in advance. Know what you want to make and have a rough idea of what colors you want. We went in with a list of colors and quickly found out that there were some colors they just don't have. Grey for example. If you want a vase, you can have two colors. Same for flowers. One for the stem and one for the flower. There are predefined color combinations that they have available aside from some basic colors. Some work chemically well with others and some don't. We got there a half hour early and went through our design ideas with one of their staff before we went to the hot shop. We figured out what we wanted to make, what colors they would be, and the order in which we would make them. For example, there were three presents in the bunch so they went first. We knew we would probably be able to make three things each so we each knew what those three would be and what the fourth would be if we had time. Being prepared was probably why we had no problem getting all 8 things made. The instructor is great. Very friendly and VERY helpful. He went through the creation of a flower first to show us the steps. Then you take turns making things. My wife went first and we alternated from there. The instructor will do the rather hard things. He will gather the glass on the rods, if there is actual blowing involved, he will do that due to covid. But you will apply the colors to the glass, heat the glass in the glory hole, help with manipulating the glass to the shape you want, all with the instructor either very close by or with his hands helping you so you won't mess up. At no time was I afraid I would mess something up because he was always close by to lend a hand. Afterall, they want you to have fun and make something you like. We ended up making four flowers and four mini vases. We had four items finished in the first 40 minutes. Again, it helps to know what you want. But that didn't keep our instructor from giving us some ideas about color combinations and what you could do WITH the color in the glass while we were going down the list. We ended up taking his advice multiple times. Anyway, it was a lot of fun and I highly recommend it.

We came here to celebrate a friends birthday. Everyone had a chance to make a bowl or a flower with two colors of their choosing. It was an absolutely wonderful experience. The staff was thorough in reviewing all the steps involved in making your art peice. They were friendly, comical and even took photos of people offering to text it to them. It was byob so we brought our own food and drinks and had ourselves a party! If you are looking for something new and fun to do in the dfw, I highly recommend this spot! I definitely plan to come back and make something else!

What an awesome experience for the whole family from 9-90. Everyone can do this because of the incredible staff that walks you through the entire process. We were able to learn about the process of creating art with glass. And we got to make our own piece of art that will remind us of this experience forever. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. You can't make a mistake. They walk you through everything. We will be back fo sure.

This place was AMAZING! Went today with my dad and had a great time. There is a seating area where you can sit a and watch them make glass art, things you can make are limited but change every month. Workers are very nice and walked us through everything. 100% recommend!!

What really stood out to me was how patient, supportive, and encouraging she was throughout the entire painting experience. Even for those of us who may not consider ourselves naturally artistic, Addie has a way of making you feel completely comfortable and confident. She never made anyone feel rushed or discouraged. Instead, she took the time to explain things, offer guidance, and make sure everyone felt supported while still allowing us the freedom to be creative and make the painting our own. I especially appreciated how creative and positive she was. She brought such a great energy to the room and made the experience feel less like simply following painting instructions and more like actually enjoying the process of creating something. Her patience made such a difference, especially when trying to get the little details just right! Addie truly created an environment where everyone could relax, have fun, and express themselves creatively. You could tell that she genuinely cared about making sure everyone had a great experience. Her encouragement and enthusiasm made the entire evening even more enjoyable. I walked away not only with a painting I was proud of, but also with such a fun and memorable experience. If you're looking for a fun night out, a date night, a girls' night, a family activity, or simply want to try something creative, I highly recommend Painting with a Twist--and if you get the opportunity to have Addie as your instructor, you're in for a treat! Thank you, Addie, for being so patient, supportive, creative, and encouraging. You made the experience truly special, and I can't wait to come back for another painting night!

The kids were happy, the adults were impressed, and even those of us who weren't painting had fun just being part of the energy. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond. Dana, Tanishia, and our instructor Eva were warm, attentive, and full of great vibes. They created such a welcoming atmosphere that the whole event felt personal and joyful, even though there were other guests in the studio. We had our own table up front with plenty of space for cake, presents, and all the birthday extras. And the glow-in-the-dark private room? Major hit!!We sang Happy Birthday in there, and the staff even played the birthday song over the speakers...it felt like a mini concert moment for the kids. It was the kind of thoughtful touch that made the day feel extra special. I left completely inspired (particularly my inner child). I'm already plotting a return for a grown-up girls' night--but next time, we'll swap the birthday cake for cocktails and small bites. Pro Tips: 1. Check the online calendar to view upcoming paintings, pricing, and reserve your spot. 2. Parking out front and street parking in-back is limited, so consider valet next door. 3. The vibe is upbeat, fun, and easygoing: perfect for parties, dates, and hangouts. 4. Ask about the private room for special occasions if you have 8-15 people, the glow-in-the-dark setup is a total crowd-pleaser. Happy Painting :-)

It was a marvelous experience from start to finish, and that's all thanks to the awesome instructor, Corrie, who was super patient and oh so helpful in lending a hand (literally) to give our projects the pep they needed if they were looking a bit sad. The projects started off in the third stage (after being wedged and centered) which was a very nice of them since I heard that the first steps are annoying and time-consuming. They do offer a 4-week pottery class that meets weekly where you get to learn all the stages from start to finish, which I will absolutely sign up for once I'm in the area more consistently. We were able to mold whatever container our hearts (or clay, really) desired. I came in wanting to make a chawan (matcha bowl) and I think the shape turned out much better than anticipated, but I'm afraid it'll shrink in the kiln, oof. Their glazing and firing process will take about 3 weeks after we make our piece, so I've yet to see the final product but will cross my fingers it'll be functional for my daily matcha routine. You get to choose which glaze from a variety of options, and they'll do that step for you. But in the intensive class, you get to paint and do more detailed work, and I got to see some of the finished pieces that were on display after finishing up my piece. It's super inspiring to see the variety of pieces you can make, and I'm already dreaming of other projects to embark on~ What's even better is this studio also offers more than pottery, including painting, dyeing fabrics, sewing, and crochet courses too, all of which I lovelovelove.
