The staff are so friendly and the audience were very receptive to my "stupid" routine... lots of laughs and good times. It's a small compared to other venues I have performed at but the vibe there is friendly and comfortable. Lots of drinks... you can find your favorite on hand and made to you liking. I hope that I get to perform there again and I recommend everyone who have the opportunity to go there to do live entertainment night... or just to relax with a friend and have a drink or two.

We recently stayed in Valencia (CA), and it was fabulous. We are now Platinum Elite Members (sounds so fancy-pants) which means my three nights here are on points and racked up some more even tonight, plus got to spin the Wheel of Fortune at the Front Desk. Can we take a moment to camp on my Front Desk experience? ARIEL (like the Little Mermaid) was FABULOUS (and deserves a big, fat raise -- are ya listening, bosses???) and went over and above to make me feel welcome. She then went over and above to get distilled water to me for my BiPAP machine (and while personally delivering that, helped with the thermostat so I didn't try to set off the fire alarm again by thinking it was in fact the thermostat. Getting old is hell, ma peeps! Now that is just my experience a few short hours into my stay in a completely ADA-looking room (had a fall and am on walking sticks) which is clean as a whistle. Spic and span thanks to Isabel in Housekeeping . ("Everybody counts or nobody counts" is the motto of Harry Bosch, a fictional Los Angeles homicide detective created by author Michael Connelly.) Be kind, sew goodness, and stay at Holiday Inn Express & Suites when in hElko, NV. You'll be glad you did. If you meet Ariel, tell her Cheryl is still singing her praises! ADDENDUM: This visit went far and away above and beyond anything I might have expected (which is always simple kindness in return to kindness I extend). All staff were amazing: Meg at the Front Desk who is professional yet kind, and didn't just accommodate my ADA requirements at present, but rather celebrated me as a human and treated me with dignity and respect; Isabel at the Front Desk; Isobel in housekeeping; Just-Mike (I think, as I cannot find my notes!) who "just does the laundry," and let us take a moment to reflect on a hotel without sparkling clean sheets or towels!); Bethany in both housekeeping and kitchen prep, that sweet girl who prepared my plate for me!; everyone but the Night Man who was asleep when I was struggling to get off the elevator and I believe slept through my desperate ringing of the bell (no sign on desk he was away), suddenly appearing and claiming he had been "in the bathroom." For 20 min, man? Do not lie to the gramma person! Just gonna throw in here that Elko is pretty amazing and everyone from GET My Ride drivers to restaurant owners to servers and everyone in between has that "small town" shine and no big city BS. Don't believe YELP reviews left by folks who *never even stayed at this property* and make crazy claims about electricity surcharges and other bogus charges. I actually stayed on points -- no cash or CC needed -- and they treated me like royalty. Stay here when in Elko, and for the love of Pete, don't forget to stay at Holiday Inn Express and Suites all over America. These guys will most definitely "leave the light on for you."

If I could leave a negative one or even a -10 I would we stayed here one night and now we have…read morecharges on our credit card that we did not do and when you call them to get them reversed, they tell me that they can't help us that they don't see the charges and that we have to go through somebody else to get the charges reversed when they blatantly charged us for transactions. We did not do so now I have to go to my credit card company get a new credit card because these are erroneous charges on my card and they will not help you and then to top it off. They put you on hold and hang up on you. It's the worst service ever don't stay here.

As I sit here my last morning here at the ranch, I am blown away by any low rating this place has…read morebeen given (on varying sites). I was somewhat influenced by the one stars here and there, but my gut told me just to remain positive, as anyone considering this place should. I yearned for a place that would provide solitude, positive people, away from it "all" (crowds, cars, technology, work stress, etc), nature, balance, excitement. I've never done a ranch and really had ZERO expectations. I was met with the two most sweetest young ladies (Taylor and Hunter) who quickly put me at ease. Hunter, that hug brushed away every bit of anxiety I felt. Every moment of my day was met with this utmost care and attention, to the point I felt so guilty of the attention! Family dinner was absolutely amazing. I was in awe of sit down dinner with the ranch owners and their well-behaved grandkids. There is nothing more soothing that hearing kids laugh and play, run around the ranch and soak in the air and sun (in other words not having there heads glued to an iPad). Joe, the chef - absolutely amazing. I manage executive chefs at 5-star facilities and nothing beats a chef with a personality (and great food of course!). Away went this so-called diet I tried to put myself on and was able to just enjoy good food and company with no pressure on myself, Kyle - nothing more charming than a cowboy (not a ranch hand!) tipping his hat to a lady. Your hard work was certainly noticed, and your patience is/was so appreciated! Note: I am a female "executive" and came here on this trip by myself. I was able to drop everything from my city life, and just live the moment.
