What a great place to stay! The staff are so friendly and welcoming. They stopped by our campsite when we arrived to welcome us and give us a ticket for a treat on our way out in the morning. The surroundings are all grass with ponds and creeks running through with gardens. Lovely place and lovely people that work here. I would stay here again next time we are in the area. read more

The staff here were very friendly and helpful, the campground offers beautiful views, and we enjoyed the small on-site museum--it was a unique and interesting touch. Campsites are either grassy or a mix of grass and gravel. (You might inquire about this if there has been heavy rain) The location is close to the interstate, which comes with both pros and cons, but for the price ($42) and the convenience, we'd definitely stay again. While they don't offer a veteran discount, they do donate to a veterans' cause if you sign the sheet in the museum, which we really appreciated. And as a thoughtful bonus, they left two mini muffins at our door in the morning! read more

Recently stayed over night as we were passing through and I have to say we thought this was very nice small park. Jake took excellent care of us. The bathrooms were spotless and the park was beautiful, surrounded by pastures and mountains. As we were packing up in the morning the owner stopped by and thanked us for staying and gave us some fresh baked cookies for our travel. Our site was a bit uneven but we rolled with it. The property was nice, but the sites are very cramped, unpaved, not level and the ground is soggy due to overwatering. The check out time is 11am, however I began to get dirty looks from the owner, Steve, at around 9am. He directed the riding lawnmower to mow around my RV, which resulted in a rock being launched into the side of my RV. The mower then sprayed me with debris when I was packing up. I asked him to mow somewhere else. The owner then set up and ran a loud gas generator next to my door to do some random pressure washing, while continuing to give dirty looks. Not sure if this guy is losing his mind or just crotchety and malicious by nature. I've never experienced rudeness like this at an RV park. Normally folks are very nice. Very surprising and disappointing. They give out Bible literature on the way in but they send you off with the devil. What a shame. read more

Tiny little rv/camping park but so sweet all the way around. Lots of trees and green grass. There's even a little river nearby although we only stayed overnight and didn't explore. Park manager was so very gracious and helpful (dont let his appearance throw you off). They provided a thoughtful welcome packet and left us cookies for our morning coffee. Since my granddaughter moved to Utah, this will be one of our regular stops. I would 100% come back. read more

My only regret is that I couldn't give it 6 stars. After driving across miles and miles of the Nevada desert, I was hoping that the campground might have a couple trees. On pulling in, it can be described as an oaisis. It is a small campground, only 20 spaces. Lots of mature trees shading every space. Soft green grass covering the ground. Ahhh! We were greeted at the gate and led to our space. We were told about things to see in the area and the creek and stream on the property. After a long day of driving, there is nothing like sitting on a bench in the shade in the garden watching the creek flow by. Truely peaceful. In the morning, I found cookies waiting on the steps to our camper! Just the perfect thing to accompany my morning coffee. We will go out of our way to come back here. I do have a second regret. We are staying only one night. read more

Towards the end of our Yellowstone RV trip, we were searching for a place to stay, when my wife discovered "Welcome Station RV Park". After a delightful call with Nancy, who was absolutely lovely, we decided to book a spot. What a treasure we found! It truly is an oasis in the desert. Just beyond the fence line were a few gentle mares and a colt, only a few weeks old, grazing peacefully. Two small streams meandered through the lush green grass, shaded by beautiful old trees. It was pure serenity. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and have added it to our list of must-return destinations whenever we're in the area. read more

They have a small store and museum on site, and even left muffins on our RV step this morning to say thanks for staying. A green oasis in the middle of the desert. We booked this place not expecting much as it was located in the middle of the desert. After driving 6 hours through Nevada, we were pleasantly surprised to find a lush green park with a creek running through it with fresh cold water. We were escorted to our site by the owners, who were super friendly and helpful. We had an end site which overlooked the valley below the property. The grounds were covered with green grass and everything was shaded. There was a fun ladybug scavenger hunt our kids loved doing. The bathrooms were clean and well kept. Some call it an oasis. More of a touch of heaven. Check in was easy. The grounds were clean, quiet and so different. A small museum, creek waterfalls. Something that touched my heart. They donate $5 to tunnel to towers if your a vet or first responder. If your tired, need a break from the road give this place a try. You will not be disappointed. The spots are good size, there is a really cool walking tour with a museum and a fun ladybug hunt for the kiddos. I would give the property 5 stars!!!! Owner management 2 stars. It's not often I come across people needing to vent because of how management treated them. Our neighbors on both sides made comments on management. I felt uncomfortable with the way we were treated. Who would have thought to find a blissfully lush, green haven in the middle of the high desert? My husband knows what I like and the Welcome Station RV Park delivered! The sites are plush grass and protected from the sun by stunning trees. The weather was ideal and the hosts welcoming. Our grandsons participated in the Lady Bug hunt, swam in the stream, rode their bikes and had a glorious time! We relaxed and enjoyed the peaceful environment, swung in the hanging chairs and perused the gardens. Welcome Station must be seen to be appreciated. If you need cable television and WiFi this is not your place. If you love peace, nature, serenity, wildlife, gardens and a meandering stream, this is the spot for you! This park earned a position on our top (RV) destinations and we will be back. read more

Setup was very quick because the sites are very level . The man who met us to show us to our sites showed us a spot where there is an owl's nest. I am a birder, so I was very happy to be there. We stayed for 3 weeks at this park during the midst of the Covid19 crisis and just wanted a nice quiet place in northern Nevada to hang low. Boy did this park deliver. Huge old Cottonwoods, well maintained providing plenty of shade everywhere, while they keep the grass throughout the park looking like an English country lawn. Welcome Station, Wells NV The Road Less traveled... I love when we fall across these quaint little RV Parks while traveling! Today we decided to go a few hours further en route to Yellowstone and I looked up on my favorite app, #allstays app and found this "desert in the oasis" small little RV park! All around us on I-80 was beautiful scenery. But barren desert and rolling hills in the distant in Nevada. And then this. There's only a few spots available . But wow. What gems. The owners are precious. Full timed for 16 years before purchasing this. There's pristine grass throughout. Scenery for miles. Streams on Both sides. Gardens. Nightly fire pits! (It started raining tonight!) lights strung from the trees, benches placed all over with amazing views. Old growth trees and so much more. The owners are delightful and have a 5 month old corgi named Pepper. We arrived and within minutes I was walking with her thru her gardens helping her cover them to protect from the chill tonight (35 degrees!). We crossed over streams and our dogs played on the lawns. She and her husband greet each and every guest. This spot is at Wells Nevada, the turn off to twin falls Idaho en route to Yellowstone west entrance. I highly recommend this piece of paradise. Full hook ups minus cable. We didn't care. Wish it hadn't been so cold and raining last night, would of loved to have sat around the fire pit with them and others. They had been full time RV'n for 16 years before buying this place. We had the best stay at Welcome Station. The lady was so friendly on the phone. We were greeted by a nice man on a golf cart who directed us in. The property was beautiful! Our kids wanted to stay longer than one night. Everything is green and so much space for the kids to run around, roll in the grass, play in the creek, frisbees out, picnic tables and chairs around the property. What a beautiful little oasis in northern Nevada! I was looking for a campground on my way from Yellowstone to Tahoe and this wonderful little place came up on my radar with stellar reviews. The staff was incredibly friendly and they even walked me to my campsite and helped me pull in. I love the little tidbits of history surrounding the establishment and the history museum. Wow !!!!! What a beautiful RV park. The lady was so friendly on the phone, came out to meet us and made sure we knew where our site was. I was amazed with the large beautiful trees and perfectly manicured landscaping. They have trails, streams and little bridges to walk around. They obviously spend a lot of time making this RV park so beautiful. The bathrooms were spotless, and everyone there were so friendly.
