The staff here were very friendly and helpful, the campground offers beautiful views, and we enjoyed the small on-site museum--it was a unique and interesting touch. Campsites are either grassy or a mix of grass and gravel. (You might inquire about this if there has been heavy rain) The location is close to the interstate, which comes with both pros and cons, but for the price ($42) and the convenience, we'd definitely stay again. While they don't offer a veteran discount, they do donate to a veterans' cause if you sign the sheet in the museum, which we really appreciated. And as a thoughtful bonus, they left two mini muffins at our door in the morning!

Such a nice place! Very well kept. Bathrooms were clean and nice, they even dropped off muffins this morning the museum was so cute. The stream was super cool and even a built out little lake on the side. I enjoyed this place immensely.

An Oasis where you'd least expect it! If I ever disappear look for me here, it's magical, peaceful, welcoming and we will definitely be back for a longer stay.

A green oasis in the middle of the desert. We booked this place not expecting much as it was located in the middle of the desert. After driving 6 hours through Nevada, we were pleasantly surprised to find a lush green park with a creek running through it with fresh cold water. We were escorted to our site by the owners, who were super friendly and helpful. We had an end site which overlooked the valley below the property. The grounds were covered with green grass and everything was shaded. There was a fun ladybug scavenger hunt our kids loved doing. The bathrooms were clean and well kept. Very happy with our stay, we would definitely stay here again!

Cute little EV park right of I-80. Perfect for a quick getaway or a break from highway driving. The spots are good size, there is a really cool walking tour with a museum and a fun ladybug hunt for the kiddos. There are several sitting areas throughout the park for enjoying the birds and the scenery. The owners are super friendly and very accommodating. Absolutely recommend!

I would give the property 5 stars!!!! Owner management 2 stars. It's not often I come across people needing to vent because of how management treated them. Our neighbors on both sides made comments on management. I felt uncomfortable with the way we were treated. Because the property is so nice we will give this place another try, hopefully mgmt will be nicer next time

This quiet RV Park was an oasis, in the NV dry landscape and in our 10-day trip to Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks.

We arrived just after a group had packed up, and to our delight, the grounds were impressively clean--proof that some still honor the wilderness code. But as we wandered with our dogs, soaking in the alpine air and golden light filtering through the aspens, we spotted the occasional blemish: a forgotten sock here, a stray water bottle there. Remnants of carelessness that jarred against the canyon's quiet dignity. We didn't come to clean, but we couldn't leave it behind. Half a garbage bag later, we left the place better than we found it--because that's what stewards of the wild do. Still, it stings to see such beauty treated like a backdrop for convenience. Lamoille deserves reverence, not neglect. Despite that, the canyon remains breathtaking. Towering cliffs, whispering pines, and trails that beckon the soul to roam. We'll be back--next time, hopefully to simply enjoy, not to restore. Until then, may others tread lightly and leave no trace. I highly recommend filling up your rig at one of the local gas stations just in case. We've stayed on site 21 located along the river. Any site off the river will not disappoint. 26 dollars a night! I've never stayed at a place that cheap with that kind of scenery. If you are a risk taker, I've seen sites even cheaper for walk-ins. Also, don't rely on the directions posted here on Yelp because it's incorrect. It's located in Spring Creek Nevada. Type in Thomas Canyon Campground on Google maps and you be just fine. I've submitted the correct address to Yelp moderators. Hopefully they'll make an update.
