The staff here were very friendly and helpful, the campground offers beautiful views, and we enjoyed the small on-site museum--it was a unique and interesting touch. Campsites are either grassy or a mix of grass and gravel. (You might inquire about this if there has been heavy rain) The location is close to the interstate, which comes with both pros and cons, but for the price ($42) and the convenience, we'd definitely stay again. While they don't offer a veteran discount, they do donate to a veterans' cause if you sign the sheet in the museum, which we really appreciated. And as a thoughtful bonus, they left two mini muffins at our door in the morning!

Such a nice place! Very well kept. Bathrooms were clean and nice, they even dropped off muffins this morning the museum was so cute. The stream was super cool and even a built out little lake on the side. I enjoyed this place immensely.

An Oasis where you'd least expect it! If I ever disappear look for me here, it's magical, peaceful, welcoming and we will definitely be back for a longer stay.

A green oasis in the middle of the desert. We booked this place not expecting much as it was located in the middle of the desert. After driving 6 hours through Nevada, we were pleasantly surprised to find a lush green park with a creek running through it with fresh cold water. We were escorted to our site by the owners, who were super friendly and helpful. We had an end site which overlooked the valley below the property. The grounds were covered with green grass and everything was shaded. There was a fun ladybug scavenger hunt our kids loved doing. The bathrooms were clean and well kept. Very happy with our stay, we would definitely stay here again!

Cute little EV park right of I-80. Perfect for a quick getaway or a break from highway driving. The spots are good size, there is a really cool walking tour with a museum and a fun ladybug hunt for the kiddos. There are several sitting areas throughout the park for enjoying the birds and the scenery. The owners are super friendly and very accommodating. Absolutely recommend!

I would give the property 5 stars!!!! Owner management 2 stars. It's not often I come across people needing to vent because of how management treated them. Our neighbors on both sides made comments on management. I felt uncomfortable with the way we were treated. Because the property is so nice we will give this place another try, hopefully mgmt will be nicer next time

I was somewhat influenced by the one stars here and there, but my gut told me just to remain positive, as anyone considering this place should. I yearned for a place that would provide solitude, positive people, away from it "all" (crowds, cars, technology, work stress, etc), nature, balance, excitement. I've never done a ranch and really had ZERO expectations. I was met with the two most sweetest young ladies (Taylor and Hunter) who quickly put me at ease. Hunter, that hug brushed away every bit of anxiety I felt. Every moment of my day was met with this utmost care and attention, to the point I felt so guilty of the attention! Family dinner was absolutely amazing. I was in awe of sit down dinner with the ranch owners and their well-behaved grandkids. There is nothing more soothing that hearing kids laugh and play, run around the ranch and soak in the air and sun (in other words not having there heads glued to an iPad). Joe, the chef - absolutely amazing. I manage executive chefs at 5-star facilities and nothing beats a chef with a personality (and great food of course!). Away went this so-called diet I tried to put myself on and was able to just enjoy good food and company with no pressure on myself, Kyle - nothing more charming than a cowboy (not a ranch hand!) tipping his hat to a lady. Your hard work was certainly noticed, and your patience is/was so appreciated! Note: I am a female "executive" and came here on this trip by myself. I was able to drop everything from my city life, and just live the moment.

I love their pancake machine and that they have high-end yogurt. This location also had one more hot dish items compared to other holiday Inn express. Unfortunately, they had a hard time keeping items available in the morning. Their breakfast hours were fantastic. It's 5:30 AM to 9:30 AM. If you're interested, they offered free dinner on Tuesday and Wednesday for guests who are staying longer stays. We never took advantage of it. The hotel itself is starting to get old. It was annoying that the smoke detectors were right above where you sleep so the light that flashes every 30 seconds kept waking me up. Typically that's by the entrance or somewhere so it's not distracting at night. It was a little frustrating when I booked my stay months ago that the price quoted was slightly different than what I actually paid. They tacked on a credit card processing fee, which seemed really strange. Do they really want me to show up with a check? All in all I would definitely come back.

This last trip was the absolute worst in the hotel. First, I called down to the Pit to get a room as I always do, and found out that all comps are handled differently than in the past. Although I haven't played a lot since COVID, my play in the past was appreciated and they always took care of me. I would have expected them to want that level of play back, but oh well. When we arrived to check-in at 8:00pm, we stood there waiting for almost 30 minutes for the 4 people helping 2 guests! Was a joke, but got checked in. The room we got had walls so thin you could seriously hear the guests whispering in bed through the walls. We asked to move but they said the hotel was sold out. We gambled for a while and ended up making a few hundred dollars. Even though the casino was packed, dance floor was full, and plenty of people giving this casino lots of money, it took almost 25 minutes to cash in chips from blackjack at the cage!!! One window girl dealing with a guy trying to get money out of numerous over drawn credit cards and her manager standing behind her doing nothing while a long line formed! Are you kidding me??? On a busy Saturday night, this is how you treat people trying to get their money back? We then decided to rest and gamble the next day. Off to the room... We now noticed that the bed did not have any blankets on it and only 2 very thin pillows. We called down and they said nobody was available to run them up to us and that we would have to come down. This was just past 2:00am and we were already laying down. How is there NO STAFF to do anything??? I went down to get the blankets and pillows. When I arrived they found two thin blankets but explained that they just gave away their last pillows! I asked the girl for a late checkout and she at least was pleasant and gave me till noon. We put the do not disturb sign on the door and went to bed. Guess what? Knock on the door at 8:00am!!! I called down and talked to Nick who confirmed that he saw the "Late Checkout" notes on my account but offered no apology. I wanted to talk to the manager, he placed me on a very long hold and I hung up and called back. He then said it wasn't him, but I could tell it was him. Then he said that him manager, Tammy, was in an hour long meeting and could be disturbed. He said he would talk to house keeping. An hour and a half later, knock knock, house keeping!!! At this point I'm mad and really want to talk to Tammy. Guess what?? Yup, still in that hour meeting apparently!!! This is the WORST run hotel I have ever been in. I can get past the out dated room, the thin walls, the lack of basic linens, etc. but the complete lack of any qualified staff, complete disregard for guests, and the lack of any hospitality is absolutely unacceptable for a hotel that supports this no longer shining nugget of a washed up has been casino! Unfortunately, it's time to go to another casino and not run by this same management team!!!! Slight Update: Tammy was able to talk with me and my wife before we left and offered us a room voucher for a "bounce back" between now and when it expires in May and assured us that she was going to address as much as she could. She did have the cleaning staff in her office at the time we spoke. Hope things get better. I will try to come again before the end of May and will post an update then. Sincerely, Greg & Amy

There is not a boring inch in the whole facility as they even decorate their employee access doors with intricate art work. Tasteful planters everywhere. The employees and volunteers are helpful and friendly. Such interesting information on species and habitats. A shout out for their café. Reasonable prices for delicious food. It was $13 for a pub smash burger and drink and fries. Only a couple of bucks more than a #1 at In-N-Out. It was really tasty! Bun was homemade delicious. The fries were exceptional. Crispy outside and creamy inside. Garlic fries. My wife had the Romain lettuce something bowl with pulled pork. She said it was excellent. Very generous portion as she got full half way through. My son then scarfed it down. I also couldn't resist and had to buy a chocolate cupcake. Very moist and the frosting was real frosting, not the yucky, airy stuff that grocery stores put on their sheet cakes. Pretzels are amazing. We did the ECCO virtual reality "ride." Of course, not anywhere near a Disneyland level of a ride, but it was informative and interesting and fun. You can do the ocean or Amazon river experience. We did both. This is free and included in your admission. I really like how they put benches to sit throughout the facility. When you visit such places, you get "mall legs" and sitting down is a respite. Highlights: Penguins! (So cute and funny!), shark tunnel, touch ponds, otters, jelly fish, giant fish, aviary. There is a very nice little kids' playground. Interesting to get an up close look at the claw (ECCO). [It was the staging for U2's 360° concert tour for lighting, video, sound, SFX. The aquarium owner saw it was for sale and bought it. it was dissembled, shipped, and re-assembled.] Get there when they open or close to it for close in parking and less crowds. Such a great place to have nearby. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!
