Dal's is the place that I go to in Transcona. Food is always good and so is their service. I've be a customer for about 10 years. This restaurant treats their staff with utter disgusting behavior and disrespect. The managers don't implement a Respectful Workplace Policy and allow senior staff to speak to trainees disrespectfully. The managers are also a part of the problem. Instead of leading by example for a positive working environment, they also threaten staff with being fired by yelling and belittling staff. Such language to have included "are you a fucking idiot!" while yelling at them. No wonder they have job posting signs all over their front windows all the time. No one with any self-respect would want to work for a business that has no human decency. I will NEVER support this business for this very reason. read more

We ordered pizza for the first time. It was very good! Great flavour and not greasy at all.

The food is always fresh and tasty. Staff is excellent. Pizza is the best and they make an awesome house Greek dressing.

I feel like Dal's has a good reputation for pizza, so I made a special trip there to try it. I was there last week and had something else (the gyro) -- which was decent and the price was fair, so I thought I'd give them another go tonight. Well, the pizza was a disappointment. The price was $36 for a 15", which is premium pricing for a pizza in Winnipeg. What I got was definitely not premium toppings. The bacon and green pepper were OK but not plentiful, the pepperoni non-existent, the sauce was generic in taste, and the mushrooms were canned. Canned mushrooms on a pizza that costs more than double what you get from a certain competitor who uses fresh mushrooms. That's a disgrace. I also ordered a lasagne to go, and when it was brought out there was no garlic toast (supposed to be included, according to the menu, so I mentioned that and it was brought out). I asked if the manager was available for some constructive feedback but was told that they were not available. The server was not concerned and did not follow up on my question. Next time I will go back to old faithful -- Winnipeg's #1 pizza place (you know who they are -- it's not Dal's). read more

The food in the service is absolutely fabulous. Their salads are to die for and same with their pizza and their prices are incredible. Please try this restaurant. This was my husband's favourite restaurant. Sadly, he passed away in November but he loved eating there. read more

My fiancé is originally from Winnipeg and whenever we visit family now, we always make sure to go to Dal's at least once. The pizza has a generous amount of delicious sauce. Pepperoni and mushroom is the favourite and my mother in law gets the shrimp which is also very tasty. Would recommend. Good for groups. read more

I've been here a few times. The Dal's Greek Salad is great! Huge portions! I recommend topping it with grilled chicken. Very very good.

Dal's has been a landmark in Transcona for many many years and it's no surprise! The food is very tasty and quanity is very generous (we usually can only eat half our order so we take the rest home). One thing that I have to mention is their house salad dressing. The owner makes it in secret by himself early in the morning and it is absolutely delicious! I usually order the greek salad with my meal. That could fill me alone so I have to ration myself off to allow to eat some of the meal. I have ordered Pizza's from here which I have to say rate up with the best in the city. One little thing is they use canned mushrooms on the pizza, not sure why. The other day I went in for lunch and had the clubhouse and Greek salad. The clubhouse was made with fresh cut turkey (not from a roll), once again one of the better ones I have had. The Greek salad was a little different in that they use their house dressing on it. I wasn't to sure what to make of that until I tried it. It is very good. Ask for the house dressing on your salad. read more
