Dalton and Sons recently built eight above ground planter boxes for our front yard. I found a design online and assembly instructions which I forwarded to Jesse. His estimate for the work was right in line with our budget and after working out some other details we coordinated a start date for the project. The job was very labor intensive, many pieces of cedar lumber that required staining and sealing. Jesse is not one to take short cuts, he and his sons applied several coats of sealer and Jesse suggested better and sturdier ways to build the boxes once the work began. They built the boxes mostly onsite, leveling and lining up the planters as needed. Once finished a final coat of sealer was applied. I can't say enough good things about the quality of their work. If something doesn't look or fit right, they disassemble and make corrections until it meets their specifications. This is the fourth project I've hired them for and there will be more down the road. read more

I looked at many contractors and was pleasantly surprised with his high rating and consistent positive feedback from customers. After completing our project, I will always go to him first for further work if it is in his skill set. First, he's honest. I purchased the lumber and supplies for him and when the job was completed, he left me with the leftover nails, plywood, etc. I've had other contractors that will take the supplies I paid for. Second, he's very courteous. He'll answer questions, tell you why he's doing something, and give you his opinion when asked. Third, he's very diligent in his billing statements. We made a modification to the original contract and I suggested we simply make a pen and ink change. He sent me a new contract that evening with the updates. He sent me a final statement at the end of the job showing that I was paid in full. Fourth, he has his adult sons helping him because he's teaching them the business. He speaks to them in a very courteous and respectful manner. And, what really impressed me was when his sons brought into the house, without being asked, a couple of deliveries. His sons are professional and courteous. Finally, they clean up everyday. They laid drop cloths down everyday, vacuumed the floor at the end of the day, and made sure furniture was covered when shooting texture on the wall. And the quality of work - simply outstanding! He installed premanufactured cabinets and framed in shelves over them. The quality of work is simply outstanding. Overall, I have never in my many years ever worked with a contractor as courteous, professional, honest and who delivers top quality work as with Jesse and his sons. read more

We called Dalton & Sons because of their yelp reviews and they did not disappoint. We had structural beams, exterior doors, and rotted area fascia boards needing to be replaced and challenges of very high roof lines. Jesse was very easy to work with, made sure we agreed with all work he was doing so no surprises . He found that there wasnt any weatherproofing on the old doors and made sure the new doors had proper weatherproofing. Front of house fascia board was in a very high difficult space to replace but when the work was done it blended perfectly. We are very satisfied with all of the work Jesse completed. There were a couple of pieces of work that had to be done by a certified plumber. While talking to the plumber after he had finished his work, he said, "Man, he (Jesse) has really done some beautiful, quality work in there!" and asked for contact information so he could hire Jesse and his children to do his upcoming renovation. Great respect like that among craftsmen is pretty infrequent so this case tells you something about the quality of the Dalton family's work. In addition, and one of the primary reasons we hired Jesse, he only takes one job at a time, again something not often seen. He said the work would take between 15-18 days; it took 17. As always there were a few surprises in the renovation. Dalton and Sons just finished (March, 2020) remodeling our master and guest bathrooms. We couldn't be more pleased with the entire experience. Jesse Dalton (owner) is very professional in explaining the scope of work, timing, line-item cost estimates, excellent recommendations for material suppliers, and meticulous in his workmanship. Excellent communications. Our phone calls never went to voicemail. Jesse always answered promptly. Same with text messages. Promised start dates and/or start times were always met. They suggested (and saved us $$$ plus quality product and service!) material suppliers, such as for tile, cabinets, and granite countertops; as a better alternative to the big home improvement stores. Dalton and Sons replaced the existing flooring with porcelain tile, installed new vanities, repaired drywall, installed medicine cabinets, plumbing fixtures, etc., etc. They made sure the job site was cleaned up every night before they left. We are quite impressed by the way that Dalton & Sons performed the remodel, from the beginning to end. Jesse is very focused on doing the job right ... down to the final detail. He's a true tradesman, as well as a true gentleman. Very polite, responsive, reliable, and gets the job done right! Wow! We are super thankful Jesse and Dalton and Sons took on our bathroom. Tons of unforeseen issues with the gut remodel but Jesse made it easy. Jesse and Juergen did a fantastic job of remodeling pretty much our entire house. My husband and I bought a ranch home that we totally gutted, for the most part, and they came in to redo texturing and painting on all the walls, installed new kitchen cabinets, installed new shelving in our closets and newly relocated pantry, installed new tile surrounds and vanities in the bathrooms, and all new flooring and baseboards throughout the house.
