Horrible customer service, they don't answer the phone, you just have to talk to a useless automated assistant. I placed an order 2 days ago, paid extra for same day delivery. Order still hasn't arrived and you can't ask anyone, because they don't answer the phone. I requested to speak with an associate, They don't understand, I asked to speak with customer service, they don't understand, I asked to speak with a person, they don't understand. WTF! I will never order anything from Lowes again. They don't deliver when promised, and they steal your money that you pay for same day delivery. I have no idea when my order will ever come. Over $2,000 dollars worth of decking was ordered with next day delivery on 6/24. The next day we received nothing. Called and was told their delivery truck was broke down and they were using Uber. UBER??? The driver showed up in his car to pick up 57 16' boards. I was assured it would be delivered Friday. Friday arrives and nothing. Not even a phone call to let me know it's not coming. I spoke to the manager and was placed on hold while he contacted the delivery company they were using. I was told by said manager that he was assured the delivery would be on Saturday between 10:30 and 2:30. Guess what? Still nothing. Not even a call. On 6/27 I called and asked to speak to the manager. The manager refused to speak with me on the phone and turned me over to a smug employee that said my options were to cancel my order or let them have the Augusta store deliver. I told the person on the phone that I was canceling my order with them and that there was no way I would entrust them to get anything delivered. His attitude? Whatever! Seriously? Whatever to being told you were losing a $2,900 dollar order? I told him I would be calling corporate and see what their thought would be. He said, "please do, they don't listen to us"! For real?? I managed deliveries from a warehouse for three years. When one of our vehicles broke down we rented another that would allow us to continue delivering, not call an uber driver. read more

I bought a mailbox, paid $41, opened the box, the mailbox is cheap quality and there's NO MOUNTING HARDWARE. All that is required is 4 machine screws and 4 nuts to mount it but there's NADA, PLUS nothing on the box says "mounting hardware not included" ITS A SURPRISE!! Now I have to get in my f*cking car, drive to Lowes and buy a box of machine screws and a box of nuts, when all I need is 4 damn screws. Not happy at all. read more

Where do I start? I wrote a review a few weeks ago about the poor service on special order windows from Lowe's. I almost immediately got an email from Lowes asking me to contact them. I did and the customer service person I talked with said my goodness, that's quite a story. He said he would get with management at the Thomaston store. No one contacted me from the store. I called the store to find out about my window delivery and spoke with the store manager, about 10 days ago. She said he would speak with the department person and call me back with the info I requested (confirm delivery date and did they want the incorrect window back?), but NO ONE EVER CALLED ME. Do not ever get a special order from this store. OMG, waiting since 7/11/25 for a window, which was sent incorrectly twice now. They keep sending replacement window instead of new construction window! read more

Lowes Thomaston, Maine. From top to bottom there is no integrity. Management level employees do not follow through with what they say they will do, no one takes ownership or responsibility. Deliveries scheduled 3 days straight don't happen with one lame excuse after another. Phones take up to a half hour to be answered. Asked to speak to the store manager on 10/17/22, was told he was in a meeting & would call me back. Still waiting 10/18. Have work to be done at your home? Go somewhere else. read more

Never Buy Carpet from Lowe's. There is no customer service. We paid in full for carpeting in four bedrooms, hallway and stairs on November 5, 2020. There was no followup. We had to call the installers, East Coast Flooring. The carpet came in on December 18th and was not installed until January 21, 2021. My husband and I moved the furniture out of two of the four bedrooms. Lowe's told us that the installers would screw down squeaks in the flooring. East Coast Flooring threatened to get in their van and leave. We bought them lunch and even tipped them when they finished the job. There has been no followup from Lowe's. I love the carpet, but will never deal with Lowe's again. read more

DO NOT BUY APPLIANCES FROM LOWES!!! I just went through a horror show with a refrigerator delivery from Thmaston, Maine. Here are my issues. #1 - Lowes is THE ONLY store whose policy is they will not come inside your house to deliver anything due to Covid. Home Depot will. Agrens will. Not Lowes. So they will drop your large appliance in your yard and YOU are responsible for getting it into your house, getting it hooked up and put together and getting your old fridge out of your house for them to take. Buyer beware - I can't imagine a poor little old lady in this position. #2 - The fridge they delivered was defective - the gasket leaked air and condensation built up into pools of water inside. Could they just replace the gasket? No. Could they just replace the door? No. They insisted that I had to BUY ANOTHER WHOLE REFRIGERATOR to replace it and that I would get my money back when they got the other refrigerator back. (note - this fridge is at a cottage where we were not residing so scheduling delivery was a nightmare since it took two adult males to move the fridge - also a door needed to be taken off to get the darned thing into the house!) #3 - After delivery of the second fridge, (which was also missing a shelf so I had to contact them AGAIN) I got a refund of $195.12 - not the $895.70 that they had charged me for the replacement fridge. After 6 phone calls and many different explanations, I was finally told today that the refund had gone on my brother-in-law's Lowes card (which the original purchase was made on) even though I had explained numerous times that my credit card, not my brother-in-law's was the one the replacement was put on. They suggested I ask my brother-in-law for the money. Needless to say, I was pretty hot under the collar by then. Oh and the reason I was refunded $195? Apparently, my brother-in-law got a discount so they were able to give me back the money I paid above and beyond the initial purchase but they were not able to refund my card the amount they charged. Say what? Does this even make sense? They did not tell me this when I was told to buy the second fridge and they would not put the second fridge on that initial Lowe's card, so I had no choice but to use another card. Again, I was told this is Lowe's policy. Oh and one last kick in the teeth? When the delivery men came with the replacement, they said it was no problem to replace just the door, which was very nice. This was the only good experience in the entire exchange. However, my husband and brother-in-law drove an hour and half each way, took the door off the cottage and waited around for delivery. Had we been told in advance, it would have saved us a lot of hassle. This store is poorly managed and communication is abysmal. The company policy is ridiculous. Every call gave me the runaround. If you enjoy getting screwed and tattooed, by all means, buy from Lowes. I never will again. I have shared this on social media and I hope their sales plummet. My reviews have had that effect on other businesses since I have a fairly large following. Lowes sucks. read more

This is a poorly-functioning operation staffed by inefficient and overworked personnel. Information is difficult to get, and Lord help you if you order something. Delivery, it it comes, takes until doomsday. You have to understand that everything ships from remote locations. Lowe's warehouses are not around the corner. You must remember that you are in Maine and the refrigerator you bought is probably in Chicago. Delivery dates for appliances are imaginary or downright fictional. And if at last it arrives, you are only tipped off the day it is on their truck. So if you happen to be out of the house grocery shopping, you will get a call summoning you home. If you can get home in time to meet the truck you are out of luck. They give you no advance warning. It's the way they used to execute people in France. If you do manage to get the item, under no circumstances, buy their service contract. Lowe's has no service personnel on their payroll. An industrial engineer would be driven mad by experiences such as watching the customer service people in charge of refunds and adjustments also be the first point of phone contact. So while they are processing your order or refund, they are also directing calls to various departments. It's total madness. I don;t think it's the fault of the sales personnel. They seem overburdened. There are not enough of them. It is just a poorly-run company and somebody at the executive level needs to wake up to his company's deficiencies or be fired. read more

Lowe's loves to push their online shopping and order pick-up service. Unfortunately, whoever manages the Lowe's in Thomaston, Maine doesn't care about good customer service in that regard (or anything else about their store, tbh). I placed an online order for pick-up the next day. I immediately received an email that my order had been cancelled. WTF? I then got a follow-up email saying my order was ready for pick-up (???), except the order was now incomplete. We went to the store to pick up our order. There were two, out of 20, items. According to the little man who "filled" our order this was because none of our order was available in the store. I had the nicer customer service man cancel the order. Then I went shopping, in the Thomaston store, where "nothing was available," and wouldn't you know it, EVERYTHING I had ordered WAS IN THE STORE! So, if the employees at Lowe's don't want to fill your order, they lie their asses off about why. Never mind the fact there are almost no employees because Lowe's refuses to pay a living wage. I will never shop at Lowe's again, even for work. read more
