This is not a huge park, from the main entrance walking to the last gazebo which is #7 is about 0.8 miles. Along the way there is restrooms at every bbq cover place, and several has volleyball nets. Sports field spread throughout Restrooms are fairly clean. Playground: 2, the main one is by the entrance. Parking: plentiful. Lake view: peaceful and easy to access. From the pictures on Yelp I expected the scene to be a bit more of lush greenery and even maybe some rose bushes. When I went to the park, it was a bit more barren and ides of winter than I was hoping for. That being said, the quaint little cozy stroll of a park is located right in old town Gaithersburg behind a large apartment complex that I'm CERTAIN gets its fill of it during the spring and summer. The park has AMPLE amounts of seating. Bench swings line the entry path which also has a little pavillion that could host a number of different happenings - first thoughts go to band stand. Then on the path you find a circled group of seats that evoke King arthur and the knights of the roundtable vibes. Most especially because the head chair at 12 o clock - crafted of large branches can only be considered a throne of sorts. Stroll further in the park and you find a lengthy sand village, complete with miniature log houses, outlined in stumps, and to me gives off the impression of a Japanese sandy zen garden. There are 2 slides built into the side of a hill that tempt the childhood in me. And another large sunken circular pit that has tree stumps to sit in. At the end of a garden is a water pump that has a little downspout into a creek. Of course... I tried the waterpump and the well was unfortunately dry. But, as a kid I could only imagine the fun when it's really going. It seems like Constitution Gardens has the potential of a young nation that just asserted its independence from its empire. I really pray that it's somewhat untended to current condition is just it's current hibernation phase from the winter. Because man oh man can you just imagine the fun that kids would have here, and the VARIOUS spots that parents could congregate and come together for rich and vibrant conversations about their community. I will go back to the gardens later in the Spring to see if it's lived up to it's inherent potential. I truly can't wait.

You can't count on water or waste bags always being available, so bring your own. It would be better if there were a handicap accessible parking area with a clear view of the dog area from the car.

First - this is an amazing park…read more 1. Soccer fields everywhere!!! 2. Cricket, I walk by on the weekends and watch the matches - i miss cricket! 3. The walking trails are well maintained and both bikers and walkers are friendly! This is an amazing park. With indoor tennis, indoor pool as well as outdoor tennis, and outdoor pool. A water recreation area. Soccer fields and baseball/softball diamonds as well as a huge picnic area. This part has something from everyone! It was windy while i was walking in the park. But, the people were still out watching their kids play soccer! Not a…read morelot of scenery, but it gets you out in nature and that really helps if you have been cooped up at home during the Covid Pandemic. There are some very minor bridges here or there and a lot of people come here to run. Please remember to wear your mask as you are passing people constantly. There are several points of entry. I entered from the Damascus side where there are a bunch of townhomes and there is not a lot of parking, but a decent amount. I can see it being really difficult on a Saturday for parking though. Also, when you are exiting, it can get dangerous. Cars are coming from both sides and it is difficult to see if there are any incoming cars when the cars next to you are blocking your view. Just exit VERY slowly to be safe. There are some streams and water/ponds on the trail. Nothing spectacular, but there so its not just dirt and trees. You may run into some deer here or there because its Maryland. I just like the fact that this is an option for a good 20-30 minute walk and another 20-30 minute walk back.

This place is remarkable!!!…read more I was lost coming back from my car's VEIP inspection and thought I was on my way to Taco Bar but since I have no sense of direction and all of Gaithersburg/Germantown/Clarksburg/Urbana/Damascus all look the same to me, I ended up on this random country road and decided to stop at this agricultural park for a run/hike. I am absolutely glad I did. I do not know what an agricultural park is but I assume it's a park with wide open spaces, barns, porch swings, goats, cows, baby bacons (piglets), donkeys, chickens, vegetable and flower gardens and fields of soy beans. This is a great place to bring the kids for an educational play time, bring your dog to let them run in open fields, or a date for a picnic. You could seriously wander around here for hours exploring farmhouses or getting close ups with animal friends(the pigs and the cow like to lick dogs by the way so be aware I am pretty sure this is how zoonotic disease spreads) or jumping in bales of hay. I came here on a Friday afternoon and had the whole place to myself. I can't believe this is in Montgomery County and it is FREE!!

I recommend letting a senior drive so you can get in free, or drive with a Carroll county resident.

Damn this place is sick. So many memories of this jaunt…read more I used to come here as a kid, hitting wiffleballs tossed from my mom while wearing a backwards Bowie Baysox hat. I slammed those balls into orbit! Next I came here while watching her boyfriend's softball team compete. They were sponsored by Herson's Honda. I was the score keeper as well as the bat boy for the season. You've got to know when it's safe to get the bat because the play might still be a live play! There were some pretty slick slides that season. One of our players looked like Marc McGwire. I think I'm the first person who ever told him that, and everyone was geeking. Shoot this must have been in 1998. Fast forward to the middle 2000s when this was (and still is) the best spot to play basketball. That one rim has been crooked for as long as I remember. I've got fond memories of playing here under the lights on warm summer nights, saying how we're going to leave but really we chill there for hours, checking out a beatle or discussing girls. I love the cornfields across the street. I also love this park simply because it feels like a step back in time. Here you are, out on Sundown Road, far away from the trendy cities, having fun with your friends. We should have had our Homecoming pictures here. This was a good place to chill/kill time in case your friend wasn't ready for you to come over for the house party since his parents hadn't left for the Pocono's yet. Please don't throw away the beer bottles here though! That's what elementary school dumpsters are for. More recently I have used this park as a pit stop during long runs. They've got tennis courts, baseball/football fields, and a playground. There's hardly anyone here. I don't know where everyone is.

Some friends and I went for a hike on a Sunday morning and while the website says they might charge you a few dollars for parking, we didn't see anyone at the gate house and no one asked us. At the Ranger station, the bathrooms were very clean, quite warm actually, and there was a couple of interesting habitat exhibits. Just a really well run state park with lots of activities. They even had a station where you can get free firewood, and build a little fire.
