Duane K. Johnson General Manager…read more East Region 602 New Goff Mountain Rd. Cross Lanes, WV 25313 Main: 304-769-1012 Cell: 615-362-8197 Duane.k.johnson@cummins.com Salesandservice.cummins.com 06.20.2025 To whom this may concern: We would like to make you aware of outstanding service we received from the above Cummins Service shop. My wife, myself, our son, daughter-in-law and five grandchildren (21, 10, 6, 2, and new born) were experiencing engine problems on a stormy day with our 2021 Newmar Dutch Star. We were returning home from Owings, MD. On June 19, we were assisted by a Cummins mobile technician on the evening of the Juneteenth holiday. He advanced the diagnosis of our problem, It seemed like a sensor issue. But further diagnosis was required. Fortunately we broke down near not just a Cummins Service shop, but this one in Cross Lanes West Virginia. What a model for professionalism and customer service. The mobile driver offered a safe place to boondock over the night close to the Cummins service shop, away from traffic. Those of us that wouldn't fit in the mini-van we were towing stayed back so further diagnosis and service might allow us to get home with the RV, and not have to abandon it, and have family travel to pick the rest of us up. The next business day we were graciously received and made comfortable in the waiting room, while our RV was further evaluated to diagnose our problem. We were allowed to keep our 8lb dog with us who received many pettings and compliments. We were offered water and restroom facilities while we waited. Luckily the problem, when found, was easy to fix. The service team was able to determine the original purchase date (we are second owners) and provided that information to us in case it was a warranty issue. They also told us to remember that the warranty expires on May 3, 2026. After a thorough diagnosis and troubleshooting procedure, they found the needed parts from a local NAPA dealer. They provided other suggestions related to reaching out to Newmar about something that might fix the problem in the future. An extra blessing was being invited to share in their company staff's pitch-in lunch. All of the staff were friendly and welcoming, and we enjoyed eating lunch with them right before we left to make the drive home. This level of service to help us get home, the warm welcome, and sharing will never be forgotten. This shop has real people helping real people in real time.

We called and they said come in and we'll run diagnostic and see what's up. Needed a new intake manifold sensor. Not under warranty but an overnight and part on hand so by 9:30 am we are back on the road. Highly recommended.

Instead of returning the funds, they noted the generous deposit was for conversations, project review, and product recommendations. NO work, NONE, NADA? I would have happily negotiated a fair deal with them, instead they took it upon themselves to keep the deposit on what I FEEL false pretenses. Though they seemed knowledgeable on the work we discussed, I feel they lied to me about a county inspector's warning and even refused to name the inspector, which is odd. A name would have provided proof. As a homeowner, I can hire whom I wish. Also, I was given bogus reference info and I BELIEVE a fake home address. The investigation continues on that particular piece of data. Since I am contracting the project myself, I can hire whom I please as long as inspections are passed. Their reasoning for backing out and NC licensing is bogus and I wasted lots of time. So be wary, I should have done more investigation. Obviously, I do not recommend them.

I try not to write negative reviews but...I hired this company to change out two existing ceiling…read morefans and three can lights. We agreed to a price and they started work immediately. They could only get the can lights (3) in before they had to go to another job, promising to be back the next day to finish up (I only paid them a portion), Luckily they came back because one of the lights fell out of the ceiling. They fixed it and put the fan in that room. The next room was only changing the fan out. They stopped after getting it mounted and said there was a part that was broke, that they might be able to get one, and that they would let me know in 24 hours. Its now been 10 days. I have texted, called, nothing. Now I have a half-installed, possibly broken ceiling fan up 12 feet in my living room that doesn't work AND the fan in the other room doesn't work now. They seemed like nice people but the work they did and their lack of communication is absolutely the worst I have ever encountered. I paid them what they asked when they asked, they were evidently incapable of this simple job. Don't bother.
