I met Scott and Cindy Dunn at an open house in February, 2020. They were the listing agents. I…read morevisited the property that day (also bringing back family and friends) FOUR times. Each time, I was warmly greeted and my posse was treated to the full tour. No pressure to buy the home was brought to bear, even though I had shown such an interest in the property. Although I did not purchase this home, I knew I had found the perfect realty team. Cindy showed me many properties that met my needs, quite well. There was no time wasting in our search. She adhered strictly to my list of wants and needs, yet she also thought outside the box and brought me to some interesting places she thought might fit the bill. Within a week, I put in an offer on a home, and as I had many great options, the choice was a tough one. Cindy and Scott walked me through the process, step by step. EVERY text message, email and phone call was returned swiftly, and I was never left feeling anxious in any way. There are so many variables in real estate transactions, but Cindy and Scott helped me easily navigate them. Before and after the closing on my new home, Scott and Cindy walked me through the entire purchase process, including the inspection (Scott was beyond knowledgeable in this regard), financing, finding insurance, setting up utilities, discussion of home warranty, among many other small, but important procedures. Even a month after my closing, Cindy and Scott are in touch with helpful hints and ideas. Please believe me when I tell you, I was dreading this home search/purchase process. My only other home purchase, 22 years ago, was an absolute shop of horrors. I dreaded reliving the pressure and the angst. However, I felt none of this with Scott and Cindy. This sounds crazy, but I had an absolute blast working with this wonderful realty team. I always felt protected, there was much humor involved, and I could always get answers to my questions. I will recommend Scott and Cindy Dunn to EVERYONE I know who is looking to buy or sell their home. Please save yourself some time, and call them first!

I completely agree with the other review. Villages realtors (VLS), not MLS, are horrible. They…read moreare trained to tow the company line and NOT represent their clients. They care more about Villages management and Villages owners thinking they will somehow stay at the company milking station if they fall in line instead of serving their customers. They are trained to tell you Villages listings go for 96/98% of listing price instead of giving you an accurate CMA (comparative market analysis). They also hold sales data very close to their vest and some are not even savvy enough to look up MLS sold listings. Because of this false and mis-leading information of Villages houses selling for 96/98% of listing price, two separate real estate agents steered us in losing out on two separate properties. One listed at $2.8M that closed around $2.2M and another listed at $1.7m that closed around $1.5M - a far cry from the 96-98% they encouraged us to offer. Another home listed for $2.5M in a buyer's market and I asked our realtor what the value should be as it sold less than 24 months prior at $1.4M with no improvements made. His answer: "whatever a buyer is willing to pay". So, if you're looking for an agent to not represent you in any, way, shape or form, then a Villages VLS agent is exactly what you need. The lack of professionalism is astounding. Once the Villages sells out of its glut of new home inventory, it'll be interesting to see what happens to the VLS.

Contacted them night before closing to ask why a walkthrough was not scheduled. The response was you tell me. I hope the village's real estate leaders read these reviews.

I called and politely asked her to take me off her mailing list. She said, "I should get on the "no mail list" from the government." ??? I asked again, and she had no idea what I got and said it was just bulk mail, but not from her--nothing she could do. I said it's to my specific address from you. Are you a short brunette who parts your hair in the middle, and in this pix, you are wearing a black lace shirt? "Well... I don't know who sent those out."...and if get on the government's "do not mail list." I'll never do business with this realtor, NELLIE DOWNES.

Run don't walk away from this real-estate office in The Villages, Florida…read more The most misleading and dishonest company I have ever had to deal with. They completing lied to us about an offer and then back tracked when they were called out. It's clear that ethics is lacking from these people. Our realtor Judy Dressendorfer is incompetent. I even spoke to the Broker, Mark Burning was not much better. As a seller, we were totally misled by this company, which cost us money. It is clear why The Properties of the Villages is not a member of the Realtors Association of Lake & Sumter Counties; therefore, it does NOT have to abide by the Board of REALTORS Code of Ethics. Choose wisely and use a realtor that follows a Code of Ethics.
