Upon telling the nurse and doctor this, I was told that if I needed anything other than those 2 medications, that I'd have to go to a pain management clinic. WTF??!! Hello.. you're my doctor!!!! You can prescribe many different types of medicines for pain! Why would you even want to prescribe a medicine to me that I can't take???? Totally unprofessional office staff! So, so, so, so rude!!!!!! Will never go back to this location again! Doctor has totally no compassion to the wants and needs of his patients. For years I suffered chronic pain, and until I started being treated by him, I was unable to decrease my level of pain. Also, I was troubled to see a review that was not a true representation of his practice, expertise, and service that he delivers to his patients. I mention this because I too visited his practice that day and noticed a message indicating that a sudden family emergency had forced him to close abruptly. Immediately, I felt empathy for his situation, and while I too wanted to have my pops for the day, I understood that family comes first and my disappointment was nothing in comparison to what he was dealing with. Somewhat new to Texas, I have struggled over the last year with finding someone I can put my absolute trust in. From the very first appointment, we had an immediate action plan. I have made more progress in the last 3 months than I've had in 6 years. Living in pain is scary, frustrating, and debilitating. I have seen exactly 4 pain management doctors here in Texas and Dr. B is the one I would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone struggling with pain. He is one of the kindest and most intelligent doctors I have ever met. He is patient, understanding, and is a very attentive listener. Always smiling, never judging, I feel safe with Dr. B. I can't say I've ever felt as safe as I do or trusted a pain management doctor the way I do with Dr. B. He is open and honest and doesn't dance around anything. His bed side manner truly is a class act. It is always a pleasant experience from check in to check out. Ashley is always smiling and ridiculously pleasant. His MA Tony, is phenomenal. I had spinal surgery in April which changed my pain but offered little relief. I had epidurals…read moreprior to surgery that were no help. My surgery involved cleaning up of herniated discs. With little improvement I made an appointment with Advanced Pain and Dr. Broddnax. After discussion he decided to try a Caudal Epidural Steroid Injection. The next day I felt relief, and today which is day 2, I feel even better. It usually takes a few days to a week for the medication to help, if it does at all. Remember I've had other Epidural's that didn't help. So I'm very hopeful right now, and want to thank Dr Broddnax for all his help.
