A relatively simple procedure has gone very badly~ given moderate discomfort in my left knee. It has been over six weeks since my cortisone injection. To be generous, perhaps they do not have the expertise to diagnose psoriatic arthritis, but bringing records of my history were ignored. Career-related, have had cortisone injections many times. This residual pain will not go away because it is now nerve damage. Have found good care elsewhere and now seeing a Reumatologist for psoriatic arthritis.. medication should help and my new Orthopedist has prescribed p/t stressing surgery will make this worse and not better. "Don't let anyone suggest surgery." In requesting records, the TxH&K doctor did call back and he is sorry. No suggestion of p/t and I do not take prescription pain killers. For colder days have used a cane or a walker sporatically. Hoping I am not totally dependent on walking aids moving forward. Additional X-rays at my current Orthopedist indicate both knees are the same in terms of moderate arthritis.. clearly nerve damage to my left knee.. Whether their staff has medical training I do not know. read more

I've been having problems with my right knee, even after SEVEN surgeries. Turns out the quad muscle is literally too weak so I can't raise my right leg/foot from a lying down position or raise the leg high while climbing stairs. Dr. Ogden figured out that I didn't need more replacements or surgeries. He told me my options (cadaver muscle, which only has a 20% success rate) or stabilizing brace. His PA actually realized my markers for lupus were high (no one had even MENTIONED lupus before this!) and the cadaver surgery was too risky. Dr. Ogden didn't pressure me, but I came to the conclusion the brace was the way to go. I am so happy with this doctor, I wish I had known about him years ago, maybe I wouldn't be in the situation I am. His staff was professional and helpful and made me feel comfortable. I love his PA for helping find the lupus markers in my bloodwork (even my main doctor hadn't caught it)!! read more

Extremely disappointed with this center. from a PA who lied about a medicine prescription on first visit to dishonesty and zero communication from billing compartment concerning treatment cost and insurance approvals on the second. Disputed the billing multiple times, got turned over to credit collector without resolution by Texas Health Resources. read more

Dr. Ajai Cadambi 100 % He has been a wonderful and dear human being.. I've been one of his patients since 1994 /95 (30yrs) and receive new hips, the right and left side.Dr.C help me to keep both my legs and I'm grateful family is grateful... in 2008 I needed new hips (again) I was about 40 I had no more bones in pelvic nor legs . The titanium metal from my hips / pelvic only thing holding me up was the bottom half of my legs and my feet. i've been blessed with titanium metal, both hips and legs and pelvic and on top of that plastic as bones.I know anyway....oh yes your nurse Mrs.Michelle (a blessing) I just want to say thank you for saving my life. Beware of this office, a very angry, unhinged nurse assistant finds joy in not helping patients. I was in great pain and Megan who refused to share her last name, hung up on me instead of trying to help. Some of the staff are very unprofessional which is highly concerning. Megan is extremely rude and would not work with me to explore the best options for my medical care. Megan refused to apologize and hung up on me. Very rude and uncaring. If someone is uncaring and unhinged working in healthcare is not the place. The office manager Shannon was kind and very professional. read more

I Tell EVERYONE I meet who needs hip replacement surgery I couldn't have had a better experience than w/ Dr. Wagner And his Support Team at Texas Hip & Knee. I could barely walk, was in danger of losing my leg, Terrified, & even w/patches & pain pills, Still in Hideous Pain. He was Confident, Not Arrogant, Honest, Patient & Very Caring. I left feeling I had been given Every opportunity to Ask Anything & Needed to know when we set the surgical date. The morning of my surgery I felt I Could Trust him to do His Very Best for me and he graciously reassured me. He even surpassed my hopes. I Honestly can't begin to tell you what he did for me. Additionally his work is so precise that after 1 year the aprox 5" scar was disappearing. In Dec.2020, it will be 3 yrs. & it's almost invisible & can barely be felt. I can't thank Texas Hip and Knee enough with the amazing outcome with my hip replacement. Dr. Wagner and his support group were great every step of the way. Since my past Orthopedic Dr., Henry Hendrix passed away , I had to see a Revision Specialist about my one knee that had been replaced. I guess I had a defective part in the replacement. Anyway, I was sent to Dr. Daniel Wagner at TX Hip and Knee Center far away from Abilene, in the Metroplex. (Really not that far, just like being dramatic. ) Anyhoo, I was sent here. The office personnel are good people. Helpful. Busy. But listen well to their patients! A BIG plus! David, and Vivienne who work with Dr. Wagner were great. X-ray personnel? Busy. Rushed. One in particular needs to slow down and pay better attention to orders. Otherwise she was personable. The other two just seemed to order her around. Looking tired and a little bit grumpy . (Well, they did!) I'm sure they've had better days. Dr. Wagner? Good. Seems to know what is going on. Answered all my questions and concerns, and even joked with us. That's another plus. Seems very knowledgeable! And patient. I like that very much. Performing my surgery soon and I feel like I am in good hands. I did forget to ask, but praying he's a Christian man. Praying he will pray before surgery with those in the surgical room. (Our Preacher can't make it as he had previous plans.). Squirrel hunting! LOL He's from Arkansas. What more do I need to say? hoping there is a Preacher to pray with us beforehand. (I am assuming there will be since the hospital asked about religious preference.). Hmmm...maybe that's in case of something going wrong?? LOL It won't! I feel God has us all and will see me through it! OK! Off religion and back to my review! I like this place so far. I have been seeing Dr. Theodore Crofford for bone-on-bone arthiritis in both knees for the past few years. He has been very agreeable to continuing to treat me with injections until "I" was ready for surgery. My surgery is now scheduled for December and I could not be more confident in my surgeon. When I see him, he takes the time to see me as a whole patient and not just as a knee and he spends quality time explaining his concern about my continuing lack of ability to exercise due to my knee condition. Can't say enough good things about Dr. Daniel Wagner and staff at Texas Hip and Knee Center. Had a hip replacement two months ago. Dr. Wagner gave more than enough confidence everything would go well; his PA Callie was outstanding in explaining the procedure, rehab process and answering questions; and the hospital at Clearfork was excellent in all respects, from registration and surgical accommodations to food and room comfort. I was walking the next day, got around without cane or walker within ten days, and now walk with no trace of limp and zero pain. Completely satisfied--wish I'd had it done sooner. read more

Dr Ogden is a Wonderful Surgeon and Doctor. His staff is delightful and efficient. I would recommend them highly!!!!

I cannot speak for the other doctors at Texas Hip & Knee, but I really cannot recommend Dr. Ogden. I saw him from Jul-Dec 2011 for 4 visits about knee pain. He couldn't tell me what was wrong with my knee, he laughed at me about getting on the internet to research my problems, he asked ME what I thought we should do for treatment, and then he agreed to do surgery, but was adamant that he wouldn't find anything wrong. He also repeatedly told me "you know could die" when discussing the surgery option. He told me 100% that I did not have a torn meniscus b/c 2 MRIs didn't show it. He dismissed the popping and grinding I was having as old age. He just flat out didn't care. I went to see another doctor, who diagnosed me right away and performed surgery the next week, and I am so happy to be doing much better. I did indeed have a torn meniscus and a knee cap that was out of alignment. I am so thankful I didn't end up having surgery with Dr. Ogden. read more

Lack of communication and understanding. A relative with a serious issue was referred to this group. One doctor referred her to another after taking two weeks to decide he was too busy to do surgery. This doctor though had promised surgery in three weeks. The second doctor said it would take 6 weeks. 6 weeks is now almost past. Now they say there is no update and no knowing of when the doctor can do surgery. It is most disappointing that they will not communicate or do anything to help as the case is very urgent. read more

The staff is great and friendly. I saw Dr Crofford for my knee issue I have. He performed Arthroscopy Surgery and now I am a bit worse than when I started. After a few more visits after my surgery he just gave up and told me he could not help me anymore and that I have to deal with my condition. WOW!! I am in the US Navy and my career depends on my physical fitness so I cannot just deal with a condition that limits physical activities. Now I have to travel four hours away to see a military specialist in orthopedics and I am getting better care there. With Dr Crofford, it seemed like I was just another quick patient. Also, if he was not comfortable with doing the procedure, that is when you stop and not after. My suggestion is that if you are looking for a doctor for a particular issue, look for one that is very experienced with that particular procedure; one that does it all the time. read more

I was blessed to become a patient of Dr, Daniel Wagner. I had procedures from other doctors including knee injection, draining fluid from my knee and a partial knee replacement. All of this took years and all the way in pain and me limping with my right knee. I had a friend that is a nurse suggested that I go see Dr. Wagner, I went and he told me that my left knee was in worst shape then my right. Dr. Wagner did full knee replacement on both my knees. The whole process went so smoothly and after of years of suffering I am now pain free. With no doubt I would highly recommend Dr, Wagner. read more

Dr. McGowen was my doctor for my hip replacement in December of 2015. I was extremely nervous and suffered with my hip pain for over 8 years prior to the surgery. He saw me several times and assured me with kindness and understanding, I would know when the time was right for me. He was absolutely right. When the pain became unbearable, I finally relented and scheduled the procedure. He met with me prior to anesthesia to reassure me that everything would go well. The procedure did indeed go as planned and he was very pleased with the results. My post operative care was thorough and supportive and I now am so thankful every time I go somewhere and do something because I can finally walk with out any pain. I am so thankful to Dr. McGowen's expertise and his heart for his patients. The entire ordeal turned out so much better than I expected. I recommend Dr. McGowen to anyone needing a joint replacement in the future. read more

in 2016 i went to see Jeffery McGowan, surgery went fine then afterwards is what got me . i went back for my weekly check up and was told that the pain i was feeling would go away,okay i let that go for now after a month it was still hurting badly like something was pinching on the inside of my knee and again i was told it would go away , but after 6 months it was the same and then FINELY, said yap that isn't right . so i had to go back in . i also told him about the back of my knee was hurting he didn't really say much but that was normal.will no its not! after 1 1/2 still the same and now my knee that he replaced is staring up again . i would NOT recommend him to anyone. read more
