Upon viewing her portfolio, I was…read moremesmerized by the authenticity that was captured in her photography; they featured genuine, beautiful moments. They looked like lovely pictures of real, happy people - not overly-processed and cinematic. This is exactly the type of style I wanted for our micro-wedding. I generally dislike having my photo taken, and I'm notorious among my friends and family for refusing to be photographed during events. In spite of that, naturally I expected to endure many pictures on my wedding day. Even with my reservations, it all passed so quickly and easily! No feelings of overwhelm, exhaustion, frustration, or impatience. To begin with, we had a Zoom call to serve as our introduction. My distaste for being seen digitally extends to video chats, but Joanna immediately helped put me at ease. She is an expert in her field and specializes in people who are less comfortable with having their photo taken. She offered logistical support in planning our day, as well as the emotional support that comes with having an ally who can understand your position and work with you. She is so kind and personable, which is perfect for those of us who are a little more on the timid side. In terms of the day of, she was already at the venue well before the rest of us arrived. In between taking some get-ready shots, she even helped my family member get into a very tight-fitting dress. I genuinely don't know if we could have wrangled that zipper up without Joanna's help! After that, she gave a brief lesson to my person-of-honor, showing how to properly fluff out my dress's long train behind me. Additionally, I noticed she was skilled with remembering the names of our close family and wedding-party members. Joanna is so organized and swift with her camera. Despite beginning our ceremony a little later than scheduled, she managed to shoot every photo we wanted within our tight timeframe of just two hours - with a few minutes to spare, too! She's also great at giving clear direction to help improve positioning and posing. And it all flew by so fast. She had our photos ready with astonishing speed (just one week later!), and they were just as wonderful as I had hoped! These are exactly what I wished our wedding pictures would look like. I'm so happy with the variety of different shots Joanna managed to capture, and I'm in disbelief of how well they turned out. I couldn't be happier with the service she provided to us on our special day. I would highly recommend her to anybody, but especially to others who might be less confident in front of the camera.

In our first meeting, she asked about areas of my body I didn't like so she could angle me appropriately and avoid the usual awkward pics. I did a Boudoir photo shoot with her for my husband's wedding gift and she captured all the best of me while still making feel beautiful in my own skin. Our wedding was such an amazing day and Joanna made a schedule to keep us on track and got EVERY photo we asked for. Choosing our pictures for the final printed album was a breeze and well worth the wait! I cannot recommend her enough! I am forever grateful for finding her on Google and taking a meeting with her! I knew within the first 15 minutes that she would take wonderful care of me and my husband on our day! Thank you Joanna!

The surprise was not spoiled (except for my inevitably suspicious lady who wondered why I asked her to keep a certain Saturday open). Jon and I met at the Lord Hill Regional Park the day before to scope out the area and find an optimal spot with optimal evening lighting and spot for a picnic. The next day, my lady and I drove to the park and I was happy to see Jon talking on the phone with his telephoto lens hidden, ignoring us to keep the surprise. Then, he followed us to the proposal spot keeping his distance and got sharp, beautiful photos of an important moment. Thank you! He used the latest Canon full-frame mirrorless camera (EOS R) and a high end ~300mm lens, which was great to keep the quality good even with high ISO for the shady conditions. He used manual exposure settings and Spot focus, to make sure the camera focused on the right thing for the photos (not a branch, e.g.). Perfect! We got 98 photos for $500, which I think is a good deal. The photo choices (removing the duplicates), cropping, and editing were great. The only comment my lady and I have is that our skin had a green tint in the photos, but we could fix that in minutes in Adobe Lightroom to all 98 photos by adjusting the color balance and tint. We posted our photos on Facebook and also got printouts and our friends loved them.

Last year I found him via a Facebook post about his Santa sessions. I did the math and realized that two low-quality, amateur Santa photos at the mall is $90+ tax these days. Jon's bundle for the 15 minute appointment (no waiting in line), private meeting with Santa, and 6 professionally edited photos for not *that* much more is what sold me to sign up and give it a try. And he delivered!! It was fantastic. We were able to do a family shot, family with Santa, both our girls with Santa, both of them individually with Santa too. Jon was very professional and the studio looked festively fantastic. And so did Santa! Top notch outfit, and very friendly and authentic. The girls were addressed by name from the get-go (info collected at appointment scheduling) which added to the experience even more. We plan to continue coming annually for our Santa photos as long as its offered! Thank you Jon!

All I really wanted was to get dressed up, hike along the pacific coast with our daughter, and renew our vows... so that's exactly what we did. We found Danielle Lentz online and after viewing her portfolio we knew that her style and aesthetic was exactly what we were looking for - bonus that she is a local, Snohomish photographer! From the start, Danielle was a true professional and very easy to connect with. We decided on La Push for our destination and she helped us in planning out the logistics for the day. The funny thing is, plans rarely go according to plan... our family arrived late to the campsite, we rushed to get ready, and the weather was not what hoped for. I had a low-key meltdown on the beach, feeling everything was a just a mess. Through it all, Danielle's sweet and positive attitude kept us encouraged that we would get the photos we were hoping for, despite the complications along the way. She was patient, flexible, calm, and reminded us that we were on an adventure. She helped us relax and stay comfortable, which was significant considering we had never taken family photos before - and it can feel a little awkward at times! When we received the gallery with our photos a few weeks later, we were truly blown away. Danielle has such a great eye for capturing the moment, and it comes across so beautifully in her photos. She made this dream of ours come to life! I have shared the gallery with friends and family and received so many compliments - Danielle's work is simply stunning. Looking back on the day, I realize that it was intimate, adventurous, silly, romantic, chaotic, and very, very lovely. Danielle, you are a gem. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you!

She helped us immensely with poses and we felt very comfortable around her. Our engagement shoot felt like a whole adventure. Savanna has a number of beautiful locations scouted out and it barely felt like a posed shoot as we were having such a fun time. On our wedding day she handled our larger family photos like a true professional. We were shocked when we found that we'd followed our wedding day schedule almost to the minute, from getting ready, to first look, to bridal photos at a nearby park, to getting back to our venue in time to relax before the ceremony. Savanna also has an insanely fast response time. She's so detailed in her responses and goes above and beyond to clarify details such as meeting time, weather alternatives, timelines, etc. We also had our engagement and wedding photos back within a matter of weeks! Savanna, you've captured so many beautiful moments of joy, excitement, and love that we would've otherwise missed. I know we'll be poring over these photos for years to come and will cherish them for a lifetime!

(no really, my last attempt had already reached a whole page and I wasn't even done yet!) First. Body Positivity? Jezebels has it in SPADES! And not the fake body positivity that's kinda toxic and icky. I mean they really want to help everyone celebrate their female form. Boudoir can often bring really specific vibes to mind, leaving people with bigger bodies, smaller bodies, "straighter" bodies feeling unsure how to participate. HAVE NO FEAR, JEZEBEL VONZEPHYR IS HERE! They will help you with everything. If you have ideas, great! They'll work with them. If you have NO ideas, that's ok! Their creativity seems to know no bounds. If you have extensive collections of sexy, sultry things, bring them on it! If not, they have an amazing treasure trove of...everything: bras, panties, corsets, stockings, shoes, dresses, skirts, tops, robes, jewelry, etc. And they post videos going through their client closet so you can get an idea ahead of time of what might excite you to try! These Client Closet tours are posted on their Facebook group which is another amazing thing about them. The people in this Facebook group are so kind and they are 100% here to hype you up and help celebrate you as you are. Besides glimpses into the client closet, they also feature "Seize the Selfie" posts encouraging group members to post any selfie where they were really feeling themselves. It's truly a great community they're building. On the actual day of my photoshoot, I packed up my stuff and went to their absolutely amazing studio. They have 9 sets and at least one that gets updated throughout the year. I got to experience this one in the "Something Wicked This Way Comes" setup. Gorgeous! It's giving darkness. It's giving sensuous. It's giving "I have your heart in my hand... literally as well as figuratively". To say I felt powerful on this set would be an understatement. 100% no notes. Sarah worked with what I brought and supplemented from the client closet as needed. She picked pieces I never would have considered but everyone had done so much to cultivate this air of trust and safety that I knew I could just RUN with it. Sometimes, you gotta let the professionals do their stuff, you know?! I think the thing that floored me the most was the inclusion of my walking stick. I have a few health conditions that can make it hard to hold poses, do stairs, or just... remain steady. Since the studio DOES have some serious stairs, I'd brought it to make sure I could get up there. Sarah was immediately on board with working my walking stick (I mean... it's more like a staff, being over 4 or 5 ft) into the sessions. I know I mentioned body positivity but let me just say it again. TALK ABOUT BODY POSITIVITY! We're not going to hide this mobility aid; we're going to celebrate ALL of you and that includes this. From the minute I walked in, to the minute I walked out, and if I'm being honest it's been a continuing feeling since then, I felt celebrated and powerful. I haven't even had my image reveal appointment yet and I'm already percolating ideas for another go! Addicted? Uh... yeah, maybe a bit *heart emoji* This photo is a fun (and family-friendly) reminder of my amazing day. While I was getting my makeup down by the amazing Angelica (please forgive me if I get your name wrong, you were an amazing INTEGRAL part of the day!), Sarah came over with a bunch of cards. I just let the spirit direct me to the right card and I pulled this amazing quote. I had definitely been feeling like I'd gotten L after L recently and this was exactly the message I needed. Yes, there were tears. Afterwards, I not only got this amazing image as a reminder (yeah, those origami stars were something I brought to work into the session) but I also got the actual card and a super saucy Polaroid memento!!!

I first met Kyle and Colleen from Luna Bella Events at the Wedding Show in Lynnwood, WA. We had a great conversation and the samples of their work was truly awesome!! They had a creative way of capturing wedding moments that was elegant, fun and warm and you could tell they were truly in love with the work they do. Our wedding took awhile to plan, but Luna Bella was right there every step of the way with wonderful customer service and helpful information. We contracted with them to handle our wedding photos, album and he DJ service for the wedding day. As most brides who plan their own wedding can relate, pulling the "big day" together can be stressful. I was a little afraid everyone in our wedding party would get a little antsy having to pose for picutres, but Kyle and Colleen made it such fun that everyone had a great time!! By the time the ceremony came around, we were much more relaxed and having fun. My husband and I are so glad that we contracted with Luna Bella Events because they made it a really fun experience and more of an event than we had expected. Of the thousands of images they shared, I can't identify a moment that was missed or an image that I don't love. I truly loved our wedding through their lenses and HIGHLY recommend you book this wonderful couple immediately. Talent is obvious to see in their albums, blogs, Facebook pages and portfolios but the most important thing Heather and Eli brought to our special day was themselves. Upon every interaction, my groom and I knew we wanted to have the Hurzelers there with us on our big day. Hiring a vendor-complete stranger at that matter-to witness and CAPTURE a wedding day is a tall order and the entire experience was cool, stress-free, refreshing and special. We truly cherish our relationship with our Photographers and can't wait to photograph future moments with Eli and Heather! In summary, Hurzeler Photography is a talented pair of incredible people that make you feel at ease and confident that your wedding will be remembered in beauty for eternity.
