Every single teacher she's had has been kind, caring, supportive and made her feel so at home. We love all the teachers and Ms. Monica & Ms. Anita do an amazing job at making the school environment be a safe and joyful one for all the kids. The extra curricular activities are so varied - dance classes, taekwondo and soccer, and my daughter has learnt so much academically. The teachers do a great job of sending photo updates everyday, and host special events like an annual Christmas show and Mother's / Father's Day celebrations. The summer program is so fun for the kids, they bring in awesome activities like petting zoos, reptile shows, hula dancing and water slides. The meal and snacks provided have been huge for our family, they take the pressure off having to prepare lunchboxes, and I always feel good that my kids have been offered a healthy selection of foods at school. I was a little worried about how she would adjust since she'd been home with me the entire time but they cared for her so well and now at almost 17 months she's comfortable to the extent I usually have to convince her to come home and that we'll be back the next day. Within the first month, she adjusted pretty well, learnt how to nap independently, started walking, became comfortable around other people, and now her language is expanding and she is learning new words every day. She can eat independently too with hands and even with a spoon and fork. I'm really impressed with her growth. I appreciate their curriculum, they are structured, they have art, playtime both inside and outside, and a fun summer program keeping the kids engaged and experiencing new things. All the teachers are so kind, warm and caring and you can see it in the faces of the other children. This was actually our decision point to bring our child here, when we did the tour the kids were so happy and just being kids playing. This sealed the deal for us. Hear me out -- I feel extra qualified to make this bold statement Bc we've tried it all. I read all the books and blogs about how to best support my firstborn when I had to go back to work full time (and you've probably felt the same agony about nannies vs au pairs vs daycares). We did the nann(ies) route for a while but it's honestly just hard to find the perfect person. We then decided to look for a daycare and I feel like I toured all the ones possible to find in laguna beach (where we lived at that time). Again, I felt like I had to compromise on kind of major issues (one place tried to sell me on how important playing in literal dirt is for kids and others had frazzled teachers) but I was getting desperate. We decided on a place but after weeks of my son coming home covered in all that dirt, I realized that I was paying way too much money to be this disgruntled. I spread out my search and found MBMA a decade ago. And it is perfect for us. The teachers truly love my kids (and it's not just lip service; we can all can feel it). The space is a Montessori (and IG) dream in its simplicity, airiness, cleanliness, and peace. They have a perfect mixture of independence and loving nurturing. And it feels safer than a lot of other schools bc of their security systems/fence. We've had all 3 of our boys attend and couldn't be happier. I rave about this place to pretty much everyone I meet:). Let's face it -- it's not easy to find a place you can recommend this highly and all parents who need help with childcare realize that who you are entrusting your child's day/education/upbringing (they see them almost as often as us!) too is critically important. Both our girls have attended school here for a year and have been in a couple of difference classrooms all which have had amazing teachers and teachers aids. The Campus is a mix of nostalgic 90s style decor and learning filled with the kids art from wall to wall while also maintaining fresh and new innovative events for the family to get involved, learning in the classroooms, and some take home projects that were fun to work on with the kids. The class sizes are kept small which is great and you can really tell how important that is after a few months of seeing first hand your children learn to read, write, critically think, and be able to articulate their day to you. Unfortunately we are moving from the area to be closer to the family otherwise we would have stayed through kindergarten. If you have the opportunity to attend Pacific Prep you absolutely should, this is an AMAZING place!

Ms. Stacy, Ms. Viviana, and Ms. Yulia are incredibly communicative, warm, and attentive -- the type of educators who not only know your child, but truly understand them. The community here is just as exceptional. The school regularly hosts interactive activities and parent gatherings that bring everyone together. Our kids were always excited to go to school each morning, and even after pickup they loved playing with friends on the playground. The moms have formed amazing friendships as well -- getting together both with and without the kids, which speaks to how strong and welcoming the parent community is. The location is another plus: a beautifully maintained, safe campus perched on a hill near the town center, with an adjoining church that has always been friendly and receptive. They have a small class so everyone is well taken care of. We love their special programs (Mother's day was my favorite and their Christmas store is my son's fave) and all their artworks are cute! When covid hit, my son was going to kindergarten but he was miserable because he didn't like the virtual classes. We were fortunate that Miss Wanda and Miss Marian still opened their school and accepted our kid, (he skipped Kindergarten as K is not mandatory in California), offering more advanced preK lessons to prepare him for his 1st gr public school. Gianni is now in 3rd grade, and always asks when we could visit his old school. It only goes to show that Miss Wanda and Miss Marian made a great impact in my son's formative years and prepared him well for his grade school life.
