There are way too many great things to say about DWM Fort Lee, and a review on here wouldn't do the experience justice. But for starters, this place feels like home. The Dance With Me brand itself embodies class and elegance beyond words - and I may be biased, but their Fort Lee studio is tops. They've found a way to plant this eye-popping ballroom in a prime spot on Lemoine Avenue and while its sparkling chandeliers and spotlights literally make it shine, the studio itself still manages to retain a sense of sweet coziness in the middle of a busy metro area. The staff here is as professional as it gets - managers, instructors, admin assistants...all of them bring stellar qualities to the table and will always make you feel comfortable. Being a non-dancer dancing among dancers can be intimidating, but I promise that'll disappear as soon as you step foot on the floor. I've been a student for about a year and a half, and I fall more in love with Dance With Me every time I come back. Perhaps the idea of diving into something unfamiliar might seem scary - I know I was a nervous wreck before my first lesson. But all of that goes away when you meet the staff and realize that these are passionate artists willing to share their knowledge with you at your own pace, in an atmosphere that's equally friendly and sophisticated. My fiancé and I stopped by to get some pointers about our first dance. We wanted to find out what the studio was like. We were assigned to a nice instructor, she was nice, I won't say her name. Yelp has a private lesson offer, we let them know about it. Our "private" lesson wasn't so private with other music playing in the background and another couple dancing about. Oh, it only lasted about 20 minutes as well. We were fully ready to purchase some additional lesson since our wedding was in a few days. There was a lady named Paula sitting at the front desk who seemed kind of like a boss. She was listening to our conversation with the instructor as she was pitching us the different "packages", we just wanted enough coaching to get us through our first dance at the wedding. People seemed confused about the Yelp offer, they had to go in the back to verify with someone, I recommend that you tell them ahead of time and make them tell you what that offer entitles you. I usually don't write reviews unless an establishment meets or exceeds my expectations, and I must say that Dance With Me in Fort Lee, did just that. Originally my visit was to have something entertaining to do during the week that would be interactive for my brother and I, so we used the Private Dance Class on Groupon and of course scheduled our session by calling the studio. As I always like to say, a front-desk receptionist always leaves a first impression that can either entice you to go, or to take your business elsewhere, and thankfully, the original receptionist I spoke with was professional and friendly. The same can be said for the teachers. Both Sasha and Yavet were very welcoming. Yavet had taught us some Salsa and Bachata moves and made the time we had extremely enjoyable. Positive: This studio is beautiful. Wonderful ambiance and nice floors. A little small and it was really crowded at the social party so dancing was difficult. The private lessons seem high and they are really pushing sales people. Especially the main manager there. Stay away! He's a total weirdo! That's why I give the 2 stars. But the teachers seem nice. I've seen better at Manhattan Ballroom. Maybe I'll give them another shot and see what's it's like. read more

I can't say enough about how wonderful this place is. It's hard not to smile when you're there because you are treated like you are family. Students of all abilities are welcome, from beginner to experienced dancers; there are options for everyone. I have already learned so much after almost 2 months of private lessons and the instructors are absolutely wonderful. Group classes are so much fun and the social dance parties are not to be missed. After doing musical theatre for many years, this has been a wonderful way to bring music and dance back into my life. I love love LOVE this studio and although I have a background in non-ballroom forms of dance, this was my first experience with Ballroom styles. Jordan, my partner and instructor for my private lesson, was a joy. He was such a good teacher and led with ease. He was knowledgeable and I also felt challenged and had fun the whole time.
