From the first day we met with Frankie at Dancejock, we knew Dancejock was in the entertainment business for good reason - they are and were AMAZING from start to finish. We ended up changing DJs at the last minute and had to book a new DJ with only a few short months remaining until our wedding day. We went to meet with Frankie intending just to hear him out and to then go meet with other DJs. However, the second we walked out of the door, my husband and I looked at one another and immediately walked back in to give them a deposit, a decision we couldn't be any happier with. Frankie made time to meet with us late one night during the week as I work long hours and couldn't meet at what some would deem a normal hour. He sat with us and extensively discussed everything we wanted out of our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception music. He understood that we had eclectic music tastes individually but that for our wedding we wanted a fun vibe where everyone would dance a whole lot and that this would not necessarily mean that the music we love on our ipods would be what we wanted (or our guests would want) to hear at our reception. The time and effort Frankie put in to getting to know us and what we wanted for our day was incredible. Our first meeting set the tone for an incredible dynamic. Danjock was always responsive to emails and calls and always friendly when doing so. They are the epitome of professionals...but professionals who know how to make sure wedding guests will have an amazing time! We liked Frankie so much that we asked him to be our emcee on the night we first met with him. He is charismatic and outgoing but not one of the run-of-the-mill cheesy DJs. During the course of our planning, he was willing to listen and work with us regarding details big and small. At our final planning meeting, we basically gave Frankie and the DJ free reign music-wise as we knew that they understood crowds and how to get people dancing. This was especially important to us as we had a day wedding and we didn't want that to stop our guests from dancing. They delivered through and through. We also had, John, the percussionist, who was INCREDIBLE. Our guests are still talking about how great he was and how he made everyone want to dance even more. My Husband and I chose DanceJock Productions for our Wedding day. Frankie Vega was very accommodating and professional from the moment we met with him. Wedding planning can be extremely stressful but we knew once we signed with them that it was one less thing we had to worry about and its taken care of. Since our experience with Frankie was so wonderful we requested for him to be the MC at our wedding and, WOW he did an amazing job! Frankie prepared a beautiful photo montage of us that was played before our grand entrance and during our parent dances. He listened to all of our requests and exceeded our expectations. Nestor was our DJ, he really knew what songs to play to get the crowd going. I can imagine that can be difficult when you have guests that age between early 20's to late 70's. Nestor and Frankie worked very well together, they had the entire room (290 guests) up, laughing and dancing to the point there was almost no room on the dance floor! Now as for John the Percussionist, he was full of energy and talent. Everyone wanted a chance to play along with him and he was more then open to it. Andres was the Zap Photographer ,he did a great job at capturing all of those once in a life time moments. Everyone loved that the pictures were displayed on all of the televisions in the reception room as the night went on. Another must have is the photo-booth! All of our guests had so much fun taking silly pictures with a group of friends. The photos were much larger then the average photo-booth strip and put into frames for the guests to take home. Did I mention the Bride & Groom get a copy of EVERY picture taken in the photobooth? My Husband and I had many laughs after they uploaded them onto Dropbox. The entire day was perfect from start to finish. Its been almost 2 months since our Wedding and our guests are STILL complimenting all of the services DanceJock provided. We used Dancejock Productions for the DJ at our October 18, 2014 wedding. Dancejock was amazing! From the moment we called them, we knew they were the ones for our wedding! We mostly spoke with Scott (our MC), but everyone at Dancejock was fantastic. We were very worried about how they would keep everyone on the dance floor all night. When we had our meeting with Scott about a week before our wedding, all of our worries were put to rest that night. It was clear that Scott knew exactly what he was doing and needed very little information from us. We were not very particular on specific music we wanted played. He respected our budget and gave us the best recommendations about how to bring the best experience to our wedding guests. All of the meetings we had before the wedding went great but you never truly know how it is going to go until the day of the wedding. Scott anticipated our every need, what the crowd needed to hear and responded to all of my "day of" requests. I can't say enough good things about Scott and Dancejock. We had a day time wedding, so Scott suggested the steel drum band to get everyone in the mood to party. He was right! It was the perfect start to our reception during the cocktail hour. I have used Dancejock 3 times over the last 20 years. The first was my wedding in 1994, the second a family reunion in 2004 and finally my family reunion again this year. They were amazing at my wedding and it's just so hard to believe that with each decade they just get better and better. We new we wanted Dancejock Productions right from the start. We went to a wedding a year ago we did not know anybody but Frankie from Dancejock kept us dancing all night. So when it came time to look for DJ's for our wedding we did our research and shopped around but Dancejock was more than fair with there packaging and prices. Customer service is also very important when making such a big decision and Frankie was there to help with any question we had or help bring an idea together. Dancejocks is simply the BEST! We had guests of all ages, which made me very nervous when it came to music selections. DanceJock was an excellent choice for our wedding! All the staff was professional and pleasant to deal with. Each professional really knows their stuff. Aside from my wife, dancejock stole the show at our wedding. Scott and co. absolutely hit it out of the park. I can't begin to tell you how many people were coming up to us all night ( and days later) raving about the music. We had a sax player and drummer who were first rate and a Sinatra-esque singer during dinner. From start to finish scott had a packed dance floor. We planned our wedding in 6 weeks and though they are extremely popular and a preferred vendor at several locations, Dancejock was able to accommodate us without a problem. We didn't have many requests, but Scott was open to fulfill anything we asked. It was a small (for Long Island) wedding of about 80 people and probably less than half of our guests were dancers, but Dancejock was able to make it a party.
