My first time attending a concert at the free summer concert series here. I stayed in a Holiday Inn…read moreabout 10 minutes away, and it was easy to find the theater parking lot using my GPS. Eisenhower Park is quite large so if you are going to the theater, you need to put the Harry Chapin Theatre into your GPS and not just the Eisenhower Park address. Parking lot six is the lot that is closest to the theater. The theater is a large band shell with a very large grassy area and so you must bring your own lawn chairs. There are paths that lead down to the theater, but be advised that you are going to be on the slight hill and in grass and if it has just rained, it can be slippery and hard to navigate for anyone with any physical issues or disabilities. They do have handicapped seating way at the top of the hill though so you can stay at the very top of the hill and park wheelchairs actually on a concrete roped off section. They have a small concession stand up there and I believe this time they had a food truck for ice cream as well. The restroom is also located at the top of the hill so if you are down by the stage, you have to walk the whole way up the grassy hillside to get to the bathrooms. This was a multi act show that went from 7 PM to 10 PM. It was attended by close to 6000 people, so I do advise getting there quite early if you want to get a parking spot and if you want to have a lawn chair near the front. But regardless of where you sit on the lawn, as with any amphitheater setting, you will be able to see and hear the music. I was in the second row for this show. The very front of the stage is roped off for photographers, and then there was a special section roped off to the right of the stage that was for VIPs and friends and family and merchandise sales and such. Definitely a nice setting for a free concert as the sunsets to the back left of the stage as you were looking at it and there is a big lake back there. I recommend bug spray in the summer, since I got several mosquito bites! There was a lot of security presents to direct traffic, as well as police for safety. I left right before the show ended so that I could quickly get out of the parking lot, which worked very well as I was back to my hotel quite quickly. They do have folks directing traffic at night, but if you leave after the show ends you will be waiting a bit because there's only one road to get back out of there.

I have to start off saying, we need more places like Brokerage Comedy Club…read more We bought tickets to see Tara Cannistraci and the venue changed to Brokerage Comedy Club. I'm easy to please, not a big deal. When we pulled up to the venue, there is no parking?? In front of the venue, all street parking is full so I was able to park at the mini mart across the street. Once inside, it's dark and clubby. The Brokerage Comedy Club is set up the same way as Governor's Levittown, with long tables that one seat gets to see the performance while the other seat has to turn to see the stage. The rug? I swear, each step I took I was sticking to the rug. Gross. But, Tara and the other artists slayed. These are the types of venues where you'll see fast rising stars. Years ago I took my family to see Sebastian Maniscalco at Gotham Comedy Club. Now, he fills up Madison Square Garden. The one redeeming factor? After the show we hit up All American Hamburger in Massapequa.

Second, the staff was INCREDIBLE. Janet, especially, was fantastic. The level of service and care they give each family is really impressive. My sister chose an outside caterer for the food so I cannot speak to their catering but if I had to guess it would be spectacular. The grounds, ambiance, service, attention to detail, oh and the brand new bridal suite, made this day so special for my sister and our family and I cannot recommend this place more.

Overall, it's always a great place to host a professional gathering. Service has consistently been very good. The staff is attentive and organized, which helps when you're hosting a larger group event. Breakfast is usually the best meal of the day and something I look forward to each year. Lunch this year, however, wasn't quite as memorable. I'm not sure who the chef was, but the food was very plain almost like traditional wedding catering. It wasn't bad or inedible, just lacking seasoning. There was very little salt or flavor, so it didn't really stand out or meet the standard many of us expected. The venue itself is beautiful. The inside has a classic, historic feel, and you can tell the building has been around for quite some time. Certain areas really showcase that charm. There is also plenty of parking, which is always a plus. One small thing to note is the cobblestone area as you approach the building it looks nice but isn't the most heel-friendly. Thankfully, there's a sidewalk around it. All in all, the Heritage Club is still a great place to host meetings or events, especially for larger groups. The atmosphere and service are consistently strong, even if the lunch this year was a bit on the plain side.

The grounds are meticulously maintained, and the pool area is especially impressive, with plenty of comfortable spaces to relax and unwind. It's an excellent location for weddings, corporate events, and business presentations, offering a sophisticated atmosphere and professional service. The food was just okay. While it was enjoyable, it wasn't particularly memorable or something I would rave about. Overall, I would highly recommend Crest Hollow for its gorgeous setting, outstanding event spaces, and overall experience, but I believe the food is an area that could be improved.

First, the "ladies lounge" (AKA the restroom) only appeared to be located on the first floor. Paper towels strung all over the place. A random mop hanging out in front of the stalls. I get that it was a Friday night and that there was a second event taking place at the same time, but they had a LOT of staff that seemed to prefer standing around instead of working to keep the restroom tidy... Also, there was a lot of confusion as to where to put our empty plates. The buffet was located in the room across the hall from where the event we were attending was being held. Some people took their plates back across the hall to enjoy their meal at a table, while some of us just stood around in the room with the food and chose to enjoy our meals away from the loud dance floor. When we were finished eating, we had no idea what to do with our empty plates. We asked a staff member as they were walking by and he didn't seem to know what to do with them, either, which was perplexing. He grabbed one of his coworkers who then took our plates from us. Overall, this was a pretty good experience from a guest's perspective! The venue is VERY large and accommodates for very big guest lists, which is a huge advantage. However, I do think the staff could use some better training to help lessen overall confusion and to help keep the place in a cleaner condition while the event space is being used.

We've been to the Paramount many times since my last review, which I can't believe was so long ago!…read more Sebastian Maniscalco has come a long way since then, and he did play MSG. Unfortunately, he has gotten so popular we couldn't afford the tickets, so I'm glad we saw him here. This venue really is great, and since my last review we learned where the best seating is for comedy shows. We saw Jim Breuer for the second time here and had the best time ever! A friend got us on the list for the founders room which we went into before the show. This place is awesome! It's a really cool speak-easy with hidden rooms and unique antiques. The staff was really friendly both in here and inside the venue itself. There was a mix-up on our part about the meet and greet, but they took care of it for us and made it happen. It's unusual for such a large venue to have such great personal service, but that is how they treat everyone. The staff seems to have a really great time working there, meeting the audience, and enjoying the show along with us. This is one of our favorite venues on Long Island. Looking forward to going back for more great shows!

My friends and I had mezzanine seats which included waitstaff service, a nice feature. The sound quality was great and the theater is small enough that you have a good view even from an upper level. It was a pleasant experience, and I would attend a future show at this theater.

During the course of a long evening, I had 2 Black Manhattans up and an order of baked clams, and a ton of club sodas in between. Music was legit, the King Cobra layed down some really amazing rockin blues. We saw them one night in January at Big Daddy's and they have become one of our favorite cover bands. Excellent lead guitar and vocals with some superb solo work. Scotty, who we know from another band, Blue Roots, on blues harp, outstanding. Solid bassist and percussionist contributing to solid music. We stayed for 2 of the 3 sets. Lisa E. making rounds and friends throughout the venue. Graciously gave up our table as we said our goodbyes to new acquaintances and headed blissfully home close to 11PM. Solid venue!

His band was great. Our waitress was great. She was busy. She seemed on her own, and the place was pretty crowded. I didn't care for a couple of the bartenders. I thought they were rude so I didn't really pay them any mind and just waited for my waitress to talk to. There's only one bathroom downstairs so sometimes she had to wait in line, but it was easy always people to talk to apparently many years ago was speakeasy so it really kept that great vibe. They have big booths. They kept Fred Astaire on the screen. The music was great great company at the area that it was at and was just fabulous.
