Facilities are great, dance studio is large and bright, and the instructors are friendly and really good at their jobs. They are constantly changing up their choreography every few weeks, making sure that the class is fun and the latest music is pumping. Their website is also really informative with class prices, updated class schedules and upcoming events.

Sahaja Yoga is a free, not for profit, all volunteer registered charitable organization that offers…read morefree meditation classes to Burlington, Halton and Niagara regions that can be sourced through either of the official websites www.free-meditation.ca or www.freemeditation.com. In fact, Sahaja Yoga offers meditation classes you can drop in to all over the Greater Toronto Area and all over the world, always for free. I have been practicing this simple, easy to follow method of "thoughtless awareness" or "mental silence" for 5 years and can affirm that it is the healthiest, most transformative thing I have ever discovered in my life. You can sit in a chair or on the floor, and there is always an introduction, guided meditation. Music, film, Q & A, and a scientific approach starring you as the scientist. Unlike other meditations, Sahaja Yoga helps one to achieve the experience of Yoga or Union, through a self-realization process which happens very early on, sometimes the very first class! At first I felt very welcomed and relaxed and somehow trusted that this was finally the correct information. After feeling a physical coolness on my hands at my third class, I started to feel that this wonderful energy was healing me from the inside, out and have felt more and more content and happy every day since. This simple, authentic, meditation practice has evolved my personality to a whole new level. I am able to use simple techniques to cope with life's dramas. I have heard so many share their wonderful experiences, it is too positive and life changing to ignore. Sahaja Yoga Free meditation classes are the best thing that have ever happened to me. Anyone who would like a free program to visit their place of work or school can contact them at www.free-meditation.ca or www.freemeditation.com. I love that no matter what everyone's background or culture, everyone feels like they have found a home here. Wednesday free classes are currently held at the Brant Hills Community Centre in Burlington 7-8pm for beginners, 8-9 for advanced classes. If there are many newcomers, the first hour is extended to explore our "higher self" even more. No skills or previous experience required, and no physical poses. Just sit in a chair or a mat, bring some wooly socks as we take our shoes off, and enjoy the new awareness that helps one to thrive. Learn how to clear your chakras (energy wheels in the body), and many healing techniques. The people who are in the classes are wonderful. I, like so many that attend, have discovered inner peace that permeates my entire day. On fridays, Oakville's Glen Abbey Community Centre has a free meditation class at 7pm for 1 hour which is also hosted by Sahaja Yoga. It is better to "experience" the "yoga" through attending a class to fully understand and develop the vibratory awareness which is just the beginning of a wonderful path to get to know one's higher self.
