Very nice dance shop in Covent Garden, with a big variety of brands and items and really…read morecompetitive prices. The place has a sort of 90s atmosphere (or maybe for me that bought dancewear in the 90s the last time), but the things are very easy to find and the staff is very helpfull and nice. It haas everything a dancer would need, from underwear to the hair net for the bun. At the back there are sofas for the shoe fitting and a wall full of ballet shoes. Also has a website to buy online / check prices and stock.
Terrible customer service…read more I ordered a pair a shoes which arrived and were horribly uncomfortable. I took them into the shop in London and was greeted by less than friendly shop assistants who said they can't exchange them in the shop - I had to post them back. So after spending money on the return postage (they don't do free returns) I was told they can't refund the shoes because the soles were too dirty. I had tried the shoes on for a BRIEF moment at home before finding them horribly uncomfortable and immediately putting them away and sending them back. Absolutely ridiculous. I'm now stuck with a horrible pair of shoes and thirty pounds poorer.

Should you decide to pick up a pair of jazz shoes or dance tights on a weekday at 4pm, then you are likely to be met with a hoard of Dulwich mothers doing likewise. As it does get ridiculously busy and during these times actually getting served is rather an unrealistic luxury. It is much better to leave and come back at a quieter time than to spend many frustrating hours waiting. The staff here can be rather snotty with the mentality that Duo Dance is the centre of the universe, but as there are no other dancewear shops in the area or any that are so well stocked, this is something that you have to put up with.

I love you Decathlon!…read more Decathlon makes me sporty. OK - so I am (was) anything but sporty. But living next to Decathlon has forced me to become a (half) Marathon runner and a regular hiker. Decathlon does a great job of selling. Products are among the most competitively priced and the quality is not too compromised on either. For some reason, I always thought otherwise. Maybe because it's French? They never run out of stock for some reason. Good inventory management. The staff is very friendly. I have almost never had trouble finding what I need. They've always gone that extra mile to make sure I get what I'm looking for. Really glad to have Decathlon for a neighbor.

Specialising particularly in dance shoes, the ranges include baby shoes, dance fashion footwear, designer ladies ballet flats, jazz shoes/trainers and pumps. The attire is also adaptable as despite focusing on clothes to dance in, many of the cropped tops and baggy jazz style trousers also have a 'street' vibe making this a great place to go if you are a fan of street dancing and are after a more casual and trendy outfit. Of course, the store also stocks the classic dance wear such as leotards and dance tights or underwear. I think this is really important, as they cannot tell you if the shoes fit them or not. Younger members of staff are supervised to ensure they learn how to correctly measure a childs foot. I have never felt pressured into buying new shoes - in fact if my child didnt need them then I wasnt told I need any new ones. Prices are expensive - but you are paying for quality and correct fitting and sizing which is important when dealing with your child's first shoes. First of all, let me just say this. The name is a total win for me.
