5 stars earned for being the first liquor and wine store to open in Jefferson County since, oh say,…read morethe civil war. I may be exaggerating, but let's just say this business was well overdue, especially since one may only buy beer at the grocery store. We walked in 30 minutes after they opened, with about ten other jovial people. The staff was still entering in skew codes, so check out was delayed. No one cared. Why? Because it is still quicker than driving several towns away, and it was obvious they wanted to be able to serve the throng of people who had been stopping by all day. They were very kind, and warned us that there could be delays, as soon as we walked in the door. No worries, And welcome to the neighborhood! This shop will be happy to special order in your favorite vino or spirits. I was most supposed to see a decent wine selection, including some choice picks, as well as top shelf liquor I can not find in Morristown. Conveniently located off Highway 92, near the tire and tow shops, it is an easy run from both Dandridge and Jefferson City. Stop in and give these brave pioneers a warm welcome, and a little patience, while they settle in. Shop local, and your tax dollars will stay in this community. Bravo, Volunteer Spirits! Bravo!

I think this is my first negative review. It's been bothering me ever since so figure I need to…read morepost I shopped at The Cellar yesterday based on reviews and recommendations. I received the opposite of great customer service. The cashier was neither friendly, knowledgeable nor willing to help me with my inquiries. My first time here and lack of knowledge regarding organic wines (need for visiting guests that have allergies to sulfates) the clerk said I'm the last person you can ask about wines. Ok, I'll try Goggling some brands. When I asked her if they carried any of the brands she said I have no idea but couldn't help me locate any on shelves even though we were the only customers. Then at cashing out my husband requested military discount which they do offer, clerk said yes she will give us discount. He showed his ID, she cashes us out. I check receipt (+$100), I don't see any discount. I ask her to confirm discount and her response is, oh well, I don't know what to tell you I thought I gave it to you, nothing I can do now. Shrugs her shoulders and turns away. First and last visit to this store. I don't often buy much wine or liquor but like to shop local and shop frequent for all things from groceries to household goods and this was the worst service I have yet to receive-period. I'll take my business elsewhere.

Nice little liquor store located off exit near Tennessee-Kentucky border. Was surprised to see…read morethey have a rather extensive selection of bourbons including some high priced ones. They offered all the standard spirits plus a selection of beers, "moonshines", and some canned cocktails and drinks. The prices are reasonable. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable.

They had Four Roses Single Barrel, which were clearly marked at $65 each. They also had the new red-label Four Roses bottle for $65, which seemed like a fair deal. When I went to check out, I was told they wouldn't sell me the two bottles of Single Barrel that were marked at $65. The employee even suggested I could "come back and buy them later." I explained that I was from out of state and wouldn't have the chance to return, but they still refused to sell them to me. If the bottles aren't for sale, why are they on the shelf with a price tag? It's disappointing and unprofessional to put something out on display and then refuse to sell it. I expected better service and transparency. As a bourbon enthusiast, I'll be taking my business elsewhere in the future and think you should too!! Just to be clear, these were on the shelf where you could grab them yourself they were not behind the counter with all of their overpriced allocated bourbon !!! (Some priced twice secondary prices)
