Slow but friendly service. Food was as expected for a Perkins. They were definitely in the Halloween spirit with the decorations and that scared my kid with all the creepy stuff.

My wife and I have eaten here several times. The service is always fast and friendly. The restaurant and bathrooms are always clean. And the food is always great. I would recommend eating here to anyone passing by.

We were celebrating a friend's birthday and he chose Perkins as his restaurant of choice. We were seated right away. My husband and I split the grilled pork chops with garlic seasoning. Our 2 sides were mashed potatoes with gravy and green beans. It was really delicious and plenty of food for both of us. Our birthday friend order pot roast stroganoff and he said it was very tender and delicious. He had enough for leftovers. His wife ordered the Jumbo Shrimp dinner with corn and loaded baked potato. She said it was really good. I ordered Lemon Meringue Pie and it was perfect!! We all really enjoyed the meal and the service was great too!

I needed a go-to breakfast carry-out restaurant on my Saturday excursions to Douglas Lake Dandridge. The Dandridge Perkins Restaurant failed the test. My first Saturday breakfast to-go order was a single order and didn't turn out too badly with the exception of the eggs, the eggs were ordered over easy and were cooked to well done. The following Saturday I placed two breakfast orders to go. This time I ordered the eggs sunny side up, hoping this would result in the eggs being overcooked cooked. It worked However, on examination of the order before leaving revealed a side order of bacon was missing resulting in needless time wasted on completing the order Once I got to our destination, we discovered on of the potato orders were partially raw When ordering online, potatoes are described as "crispy hash browns ". I subsequently went to the Perkins Restaurant website and filed a complaint on my experiences, I received a response from Brandon Otto, offering his apologies, gave me a direct line to a manager (for future use) and said he would refund my second order. I told him not to worry about the refund, stating, as Judge Judy says, " ate the steak ". Mr Otto insisted he would be refunding my credit card, but he never did I don't want to frequent a restaurant where I need to have a manager phone number on hand for mistakes, I don't want to frequent a restaurant where orders can't be filled correctly, I don't want to frequent a restaurant where even the manager doesn't follow through Perkins Restaurant does not have an app, but online ordering is available which is how I ordered after creating an account. I have since deleted my account!!!

I was excited to see a Perkins which brought back many memories of late night undergrad cramming and need for food fuel with friends! We decided to stop for a late lunch on our road trip home from vacation. Extensive menu of breakfast, lunch, & dinner options along with the tempting bakery case of pies and other baked goods Perkins is known for. I ordered a pick 3 lunch with 1/2 sandwich (blt), salad, and slice of pie. My husband ordered a breakfast burger with egg over hard, and onion rings. The onion rings came out considerably overdone which the friendly waiter noticed. He offered to go have them replaced. No sooner had he left then my husband saw the very runny egg atop his burger (not gonna work... only eats well cooked through over hard eggs). The entire platter ended up needing to be replaced and the waiter did so as quickly as possible & was apologetic. They made it right and we both enjoyed the late lunch before hitting the road again. The coconut cream pie slice was fantastic and a testament to their in restaurant bakery offerings.

Incredible pies, pastries and deserts. The service is top notch and the lunch and dinner entrees are excellent and reasonably priced.

We would have never known about it, except after dining at the Red Rocker restaurant. The grounds are lovely and are shaded with large trees and have seating underneath them. There's also an outside patio where customers can enjoy their food. We opted for the seating inside and I had a delicious everything bagel with lox, cream cheese and capers. Dave had eggs, sausage and cheese on an everything bagel too. There was a continuous line of customers buying bakery stuff and getting coffee. The atmosphere is so homey and pleasant that it a pleasure to eat there.

While some of their pastries look decent, there is something about their Viennoiserie (laminated dough) products that they just seem to not understand. Every one of their croissants I've tried were underproved, which causes an undesirable internal texture that is dense and not open and light like croissants are supposed to be. They are also very "bread like", which shows that they are losing control of the temperature of the dough and butter during the lamination process. This causes the butter to melt into the dough, rather than keeping the intended layers. This is what causes the crumb of the croissant to be more bread like, rather than the light honeycomb structure you find in a well-crafted croissant. Their other products, assorted buns, cinnamon rolls, etc., look decent, but I haven't tried much of those as they aren't really what I enjoy. I hope at some point they can dial in their understanding of the laminated dough process as it would only elevate and improve what they offer. However, they seem to be busy, so they may be fine with delivering a lower quality product in that department. I also understand that my perspective may be different than the average customer as I'm a professional pastry chef and consultant. I'm not sharing this review to be negative, but to give an honest opinion that may spark this establishment to look deeper into their process and find ways to offer even more to their customers.

All the ladies that were working there today were very helpful, kind. and generally very nice in Customer Service! After a hard decision, I got one of their huge cinnamon buns with the original icing, and two of their homemade original cream horns. On my way to the checkout, I saw at a different type of bakery bread,"Blueberry Goat Cheese Sourdough "- never had seen this combination loaf before, so my curiosity said buy it and try it! After my ride home to Hendersonville, I decided to cut us a couple of slices and toast this bread. I must say that this is extraordinarily delicious and the quality of the bread is superb. I can't wait later to try a little bit of my other sweet treat findings.
