Food was good. Service was good. Our server's name was Ray. He was kind and efficient. No complaints here. I was really thrown off by the smell of the bathrooms. It didn't smell like poop. It smelled like bug spray. But like reeeeally strong. It was nauseating. I would come back for the food but the bathroom smell will probably keep me away. I already knew what I wanted 2 eggs OM, 2 sausage patties, breakfast potatoes, and 2 biscuits, and of course sweet tea. One star only because there's no negative ratings. 1. Had to ask for another table because the first was dirty, nasty and sticky. 2. Had to switch from tea to Diet Coke because tea was soured. 3. My pot roast plate had sat so long a thickened film had formed on the gravy. BLT plate had good onion rings but BLT had two small slices of bacon. It was dry and mostly bread. Bathrooms are hot, stuffy and stink. AND....definitely changed our mind about bringing a pie home when we saw the nasty in the pie display. We grew up frequenting the local Perkins until they went out of business. So we were pleasantly surprised to see the sign while on our way home from Pigeon Forge. Went in for breakfast. We were celebrating a friend's birthday and he chose Perkins as his restaurant of choice. We were seated right away. My husband and I split the grilled pork chops with garlic seasoning. Our 2 sides were mashed potatoes with gravy and green beans. It was really delicious and plenty of food for both of us. Our birthday friend order pot roast stroganoff and he said it was very tender and delicious. He had enough for leftovers. His wife ordered the Jumbo Shrimp dinner with corn and loaded baked potato. I needed a go-to breakfast carry-out restaurant on my Saturday excursions to Douglas Lake Dandridge. The Dandridge Perkins Restaurant failed the test. My first Saturday breakfast to-go order was a single order and didn't turn out too badly with the exception of the eggs, the eggs were ordered over easy and were cooked to well done. The following Saturday I placed two breakfast orders to go. This time I ordered the eggs sunny side up, hoping this would result in the eggs being overcooked cooked. It worked However, on examination of the order before leaving revealed a side order of bacon was missing resulting in needless time wasted on completing the order Once I got to our destination, we discovered on of the potato orders were partially raw When ordering online, potatoes are described as "crispy hash browns ". I subsequently went to the Perkins Restaurant website and filed a complaint on my experiences, I received a response from Brandon Otto, offering his apologies, gave me a direct line to a manager (for future use) and said he would refund my second order. I told him not to worry about the refund, stating, as Judge Judy says, " ate the steak ". Mr Otto insisted he would be refunding my credit card, but he never did I don't want to frequent a restaurant where I need to have a manager phone number on hand for mistakes, I don't want to frequent a restaurant where orders can't be filled correctly, I don't want to frequent a restaurant where even the manager doesn't follow through Perkins Restaurant does not have an app, but online ordering is available which is how I ordered after creating an account. I like the Perkins. The service was prompt, friendly, and efficient. There were many meal options available. The meals arrived quickly and prepared well. The prices are ok. If you're not familiar with Perkins, know that their pastry and deserts are amazing. They are known for their muffins and pies. I noticed their muffins looked a little smaller than I'm used to seeing at a Perkins. Oh, they are still a good size. Usually, they are huge. The pies looked amazing. I was excited to see a Perkins which brought back many memories of late night undergrad cramming and need for food fuel with friends! We decided to stop for a late lunch on our road trip home from vacation. Extensive menu of breakfast, lunch, & dinner options along with the tempting bakery case of pies and other baked goods Perkins is known for. I ordered a pick 3 lunch with 1/2 sandwich (blt), salad, and slice of pie. My husband ordered a breakfast burger with egg over hard, and onion rings. The onion rings came out considerably overdone which the friendly waiter noticed. He offered to go have them replaced. No sooner had he left then my husband saw the very runny egg atop his burger (not gonna work... only eats well cooked through over hard eggs). The entire platter ended up needing to be replaced and the waiter did so as quickly as possible & was apologetic. They made it right and we both enjoyed the late lunch before hitting the road again. Waitress was very nice. The facility was clean (except the mustard bottle needed to be cleaned) but the facility does need to be updated. It shows the signs of wear and tear. The food was good, temperatures were appropriate and service was quick. The menu is the classic Perkins menu. The pricing is standard for this type of dining. The coffee was really good! read more

I frequent Perkins fairly often. I've never had a bad meal when I dine in. I've carried out a few times and the food was good...until yesterday. I ordered a grilled chicken salad. I had maybe 6 bites of chicken in the salad. Half of them were dry rubbery chicken. If I decide to try it again I will emphasize that I want fresh chicken on my salad. read more

The original reason for stopping was to get some gas, but we didn't do too much for breakfast when we left the hotel in Asheville, NC to head to Meridian, MS. Since we wanted something to eat, and wanted to try a place we don't find at home, this place fit the bill nicely. This was on our first visit, which was on August 3, 2018. We had a subsequent visit on the way home on August 5, 2018. On our first visit, it was still breakfast time. We were immediately seated by the hostess and served. We had the choice to eat inside or on the patio, but decided to stay inside. Emily was our server on this visit. After looking over the menu, I ended up going with the Brioche French Toast Platter with scrambled eggs and crispy bacon. After about 8-10 minutes, the breakfast was brought to the table. The French toast was nice and hot, along with the eggs and bacon, which were done to my liking. This was a great visit overall. After paying, we also got a coupon scratch off, which gave us $5 off $25 or more on another visit, so we would end up using that a few days later. Fast forward to August 5, 2018. After getting my niece to bring her home, we stopped in again for lunch as we headed back east this time. On this visit, it was a bit busier than the first time we were here, but we were immediately seated again. Within a few moments, our server Brittney was at the table. She got our drink orders while we looked over the menu. It did take her a little while to return since the place was pretty busy at the time (around 12:15 pm). On this visit, I ended up ordering a dinner entree, which was the Butterball® Turkey & Dressing entree with mashed potatoes and spinach as my two sides. After about 8-10 minutes, the entrees were brought to the table. Everything came out the way it should have. The turkey was good and hot, along with the sides. In the end, the food was good once again. Service was a bit slower on this visit due to how busy it was at the time, but she still got the job done in the end. Overall, both visits were very good here. The food was good, service was up to standard, and the staff are very friendly here. It's a convenient place to stop in, have something to eat, and get back on the road. This place is a joke. Took the family to dinner here tonight. It started out okay, place wasn't particularly busy, we were seated, brought our drinks, and orders taken in a reasonable amount of time. However we were soon forgotten in our little corner of the abandoned section we were seated. No refills on our drinks, no walk bus making sure things were okay, no explanation as to why it was taking so long, nothing. Just as After over an hour of waiting, I was ready to tell the family "forget it, we're outta here" our food finally arrived. It was mediocre at best. Our food, much like us, had been forgotten; sat under a heat lamp and abandoned. What the hell though, the food was there so we started to eat. Soon however our attention was averted from our lousy sub par meals to a commotion that arouse from the a slightly more populated section in front of where we were seated. The manager was at war with another customer. The customer was complaining that her food sucked, her sandwich was soggy and what not. I know she wasn't just being a "Karen" as the very sandwich I was sitting there eating was also in such a sad state. This manager was rude and loud and exasperating the situation, telling this poor woman that her food was fine and that soggy sandwiches are all the rage in Dandridge. Gave her a bunch of grief over her bad dinner before finally agreeing to make her a new one... She then angrily told her, "Well it's going to be another 6 minutes to make you a new sandwich" If it only takes 6 frickin minutes to make a sandwich why the hell were we all doing waiting an hour and a half for the food to get there then? By this time the other customer was mad. Real mad. At this point I was glad we didn't walk out before our meal, as this altercation had turned into an entertaining dinner show. Anyway we finished our food and head up to the front to pay, and what's going on up there? Well the manager lady STILL arguing with this poor woman over her shitty meal. STILL! the manager spits out, "well I didn't even charge for the replacement sandwich I personally made..." More aggravated and heated conversation ensued! Yay, there's an encore to the nights entertainment! Here's the topping on the cake, after the woman stormed out of the restaurant, the phone rings... The hostess answers and tries to get the managers attention, to which she angrily yells, "What is it THIS TIME??!!" hostess responds something about "corporate, and needed to talk to the team leader, and that she needed to deal with the call" Considering the last lady had just walked out the door no more that 30 seconds ago and had no where near enough time to complain to corporate, little lone, make the complaint and corporate have time to call the restaurant to see what had happened tells me that wasn't even the first customer service incident tonight! We ordered the Classic Hamburger from Perkins in Dandridge after searching for anything that looked remotely good on Yelp. We requested curbside pickup, which they cheerfully said was fine. We also ordered a side baked potato, with butter and sour cream on the side. The cheese burger was okay, but the lettuce was wilted, and the baked potato were not cut in half, nor was there any butter or sour cream. They did include packed plastic utensils that included small packs of salt and pepper, which saved the day for the potatoes. read more
