This is a review I've been meaning to do for a while but I just want to say the manager/ owner of the store was so nice and helpful. My boyfriend had been doing work during the summertime out in Sweetwater and decided to go to the store and get me a dress for my birthday. Unfortunately, it was too big so he had to go back and exchange it, but they did not have my size in stock so he went to the front desk and the ladies took his name address and the size that was needed and said they would ship it to the house. Well, two months later, there was no sign of any dress so I had reached out to the store to figure out what went wrong and if I was going to ever receive my dress. The owner of the store talk to me and told me that they don't do orders specifically for the brand of dress that I had so I wanted to know why they took his information down, knowing that they couldn't order the dress. The owner was really nice to me. He even offered me a refund without a receipt or anything due to the fact that I live all the way in Dallas and I couldn't drive four hours back just to get the situation taken care of. He refunded me the full amount which was very thoughtful and he took care of me throughout the whole process. I'm giving this place five stars just because of what the owner did, but the staff on the other hand was where the problem started and I don't know if it's because they were too busy talking to each other rather than actually helping people. I had been in that store twice just from when I had gone out and visited my boyfriend and both times when I was in the store, I felt like I was being judged and every time I looked over the associates were too busy chitchatting rather than helping people. Again, the owner of the store was very nice and very respectful and took care of me but for the staff, I'm not too pleased with their service of the other workers due to the fact that we had ordered a dress since they didn't have my size and turns out they never placed an order and for two months I waited and nothing happened until I reached back out. read more

One of the best Western stores in the country! I stopped in just traveling thru and the things in their store caught my eyes right away! Huge selection of Montana buckles and all kinds of jewelry, things for the home, bags and purses with cowhide, great selection of clothes, hats and shirts! I bought earrings, shirts, hats, a bag with a horse on it with fringes for my wife and a large framed Texas flag that the owner made an exception and shipped home for me. This is a really good western wear store! They have a bargain room in the back with great deals and seconds. My husband always stocks up on jeans here. We were in the store for 20 mins and no one said a single word to us!!! There were at least 3 associates working. We were dressed tacky bc we were coming in to town from being at the lake for 4th of July weekend. (Shorts/tshirts/sandals) We were shopping around and an older Caucasian man (60-70) walked in and he was greeted with "hi sir welcome in! Can we help you find anything?" After hearing that we straight walked out and got a thank y'all!" On the way out.... after shopping for 20 min!!!!! We were looking to spend some money because it was also my birthday and I was being treated. We are from Lubbock so I'd much rather spend money at dollar western wear or Cavenders. read more

I have been a regular customer of Dandy's for 23 years. There are several western wear/boot stores closer to my location, but I have learned over the years it is well worth the extra drive to visit Marty and his staff in Sweetwater. Since day one I have been made to feel at home, customer service is wonderful, and the prices can't be beat. On top of that, Marty is one of the best steam-creasers/shapers I have ever seen for hats.
