We negotiated a price, which he increased due to the work involved and I agreed to the new price. I paid in cash, but he didn't finish the work. He returned to complete the project, but left after an hour, as he didn't finish a deadbolt installation and installed the second dead bolt and door handles, then left early because a tornado warning was issued that afternoon and evening. Kris said he'd return to finish the job Saturday or Sunday, but didn't. So, Kris walked off with my money and left without finishing the work he was paid to do. He offered to return the following weekend. I text: Will you be able to finish the work? No reply ... and the blinds, the deadbolt nor the door knobs are still sitting on my table. He took my cash, said he'd be back - and didn't. A hard lesson. Do not to trust this guy! He'll take your money and leave his work unfinished.

I reached out to Mr. Walters through Yelp, as we needed significant repair to our basement due to a break in the main water line to the house. He started out strong, with doing two very minor repairs, which I thought was indicative of a person who would approach the bigger project with professionalism and skill. That could not have been further from the truth. For a $6135.53 job (insurance plus my $2500 deductible), Mr. Walters asked to break the payments into three, at the start of the job, assuring me that he wouldn't need the second or third payments until the end of the job. Then he slowly asked for the remaining two payments over the course of a week. My husband and I voiced concern about giving him all of the money before the job and he assured me that he was responsible and he would finish the work. As soon as he got that last check, he never showed up again - with excuse after excuse until finally, he just stopped returning our texts. Now my personal account it drained (because I had to pull that $2,500 out of our savings) and I have only a small portion of the work done. I have priced out the cost to finish the job, and it is $3,000, which of course, I don't have. My husband and I hoped maybe his phone was no longer working, and looked him up on casenet (long list of trouble with the law, dating back decades), and thought we would try to meet him at court, to work things out. After telling us that we were the problem (I am assuming because we expected professionalism), he said he would come by the following Monday and return our money). Never happened. Again. I trusted this guy at his word. That was my first and biggest mistake. I highly recommend that anyone who might consider using this guy to reconsider - he defrauded us and I hear he has defrauded others too!

Do not hire this company! Dealing with them has been my families worst nightmare. We hired them to…read morere-build the old staircase in our home. That was almost 2 months ago. We have been left with a giant hole upstairs without a railing. So a cliff for our dogs and child to walk around. No temporary railing. No safety precautions. The staircase is usable (thanks to my husband's handyman skills). We had to order the stair treads ourselves because they forgot. My husband and I ended up staining the treads and painting the risers ourselves to hopefully get the project done. They contracted out for the railing. That company will not get back to us, but now the contactor with Bax said it's basically our problem now. So a project that was quoted to take a week, has now taken a couple months...still isn't completed. Might be three months. Our son is having surgery Monday, and this is the disaster we have to bring him home to. You really don't understand the value of a safe staircase until you no longer have one. Their employees had verbal arguments in front of us. Left angry with each other. The unprofesionalism has been jaw dropping. Bax, if you dispute this review, we have a binder full of pictures, paperwork, and all written interactions. We value honesty and hard work, this company is a prime example of the complete opposite.
