Dr. Dan is not just a mere man, he is a god! There is no way I could do my job or be functional without his assistance in my care. Due to my work and stress of life, my back and neck go out. I have been the largest skeptic and cynic of chiropractic care for years, nay decades. However over the past few years I've had chronic back pain from athletic activity that was temporarily cured due to a hard jolt. After re-aggravating my back, I decided to give chiropractic care a shot. On the recommendation from a co-worker, I visited "Dr. Dan" Gribbin in Edmonds, Washington. Dan was suggested for two reasons: 1) his success rate with my co-worker and his family. 2) His attempt to solve the issue the first time, or as quickly as possible. He's not trying to build a practice based on repitition, but on successful solving of physical ailments. Dan spent the first five to ten minutes talking to me to get to know me as a client. He then talked about my history and then went to work with an initial examination. I have had some other mid-back pain that I was not asking about and he identified the area without being prompted. Dan set about his work and was very aggressive in his treatment - if you're delicate, this shouldn't alarm you as the client before me was an 80+ year-old woman of frail stature. At the completion he made sure I could walk and move normally, and provided his card with personal cell phone number in case I had any problems tonight or tomorrow (his office is closed on Thursdays.) There is no appointments necessary - Dan handles customers on a walk-in basis. They do not bill insurance, so make sure your plan accepts his service and allows you to be reimbursed. Rates are reasonable but you should call to determine whether or not they're right for you. While I still do not consider myself a full believer in chiropractic care (yet), I am a believer in Dan Gribbin. As I type this tonight I feel better than I have in months. Unfortunately, if you're like me, we're exceptional at tolerating and concealing various forms of pain. My experience with Dr. Gribben has taught me that I can relax, quit lying to myself about the amount of pain I'm feeling, and to seek help sooner rather than later to best address my needs. I came to Dr. Gribben with a severe and debilitating pain from a pinched nerve in my neck. With my lower teeth in pain, pain and blurriness in my right eye, locked up lats and neck muscles, and finally, the pain radiating in my neck, c1-c2, almost lead me to voluntarily have my head professionally removed to say the least... Scary stuff honestly. Unsuccessful with having my needs adequately addressed by my primary care provider and given that my physical therapy was marginal at best in terms of their tunnel vision solutions (don't give up on pt), despite being skeptical of the field of chiropractic care, my experience with Dr. Gribben has fundamentally changed my beliefs regarding the positive benefits behind receiving chiropractic care. His genuineness, impeccable form and use of humor, and natural willingness to help you learn how to reflect on the root causes of your pain experience is priceless. I've been a believer in chiropractic for my whole life but Dr. Dan is far and away the best one I've ever had. Other docs I've seen over the years are always very interested in knowing a lot about the amount of insurance coverage I have before scheduling me 3 appointments a week until the yearly benefit is used up. I have been suffering from SEVERE and debilitating pain from a pinched nerve in my neck for over 2 weeks. I have been seeing Dr. Gribbin intermittently for years, and LOVE him! Every visit has been a positive experience, leaving me feeling much better than before I walked in. I typically don't need adjusting often and it's nice to have a chiropractor where I can just walk in on an as needed basis! I'm sorry to say Dr. Gribbin's attempt at relieving my back pain was not very professional nor very intuitive. Dan would never read my back with his hands or x-ray. I would go in and have my back pop a lot, then he would yank on my legs, with no regard to which side needed the attention. After a few days of this I was so much worse than I was, I needed to go to the doctor for pain pills and a cortisone shot . 5 chiropractors have helped me over 30+ years of driving school, charter and transit buses. 3 of them were standouts and Dan is arguably the best. The first of these top 3 got me over having a tipped pelvis on an L&I claim. My neighbor at the time, Bill, a retired long haul dirver, told me about him. This first chiropractor quit the practice to become a priest. Luckily I found the second really good practitioner, but then he also quit the field, but to go into business. However, he told me about Dan. I don't have much problem anymore because I get easier work, but when I do have a problem Dan gets it adjusted in 2-3 appointments. I believe that there are people who are natural healers, and Dr. Dan is one of them. Dr. Gribbon does not ft any pattern. He is very direct, and more like a practitioner you'd find n E. WA than hip Seattle. I went because my very cool naturopath referred me for a sore lower back, saying that I would only need to go once. For sure. I've been to chiropractors before and they all do a series of treatments, so I was skeptical. His treatment was pretty forceful. Anyway, I went twice - problem solved. Totally solved.
