Working with Daniel has been such an amazing process. My now husband and I instantly fell in love with his cinematic storytelling. His videos spoke to me and felt so different than a lot of other wedding videographers I looked into. Even when we jumped on our first call to see if we would be a fit, it was so easy to talk to him! Daniel was extremely helpful in providing insights outside of videography related things - he helped suggest other vendors who he trusted and helped plan our timeline and really went the extra mile. We shared the highlight film with many others, but saved the feature film for select family and friends, as it was longer. The film was everything we could've asked for, and more. Just wow, completely floored by the quality, professionalism, and experience we had with Daniel!  We had no expectations of what we would be getting as we had never hired a professional photographer before, let alone one for our wedding.     We got married at the courthouse in Manhattan, as we both preferred a straightforward and simple affair.  That said, Daniel was not only early but had scouted out lower Manhattan for the best picture spots and had an itinerary ready to go.  You could tell he knew his stuff, where to go, how to pose, and he was great fun to be around, keeping the mood light and happy, exactly what we wanted.     We took a tour of a few notable buildings, had a great time and an impromptu pizza stop, and ended the day at the seaport for some near the water pics.  The day ended at a nice restaurant with a few family and friends, where we had some cake and ended the evening at the hotel.     Daniel totally impressed us with his ease of communication and promptness too, we got the pictures so quickly and were able to share them with friends and family the next week.  Would definitely recommend his services for any and all future weddings and events, you won't be disappointed!   Thanks again! read more

One of the best decisions for our wedding was having Daniel as our photographer. Not only were we thrilled with how our photos turned out, but we really enjoyed the photoshoot itself too. Daniel had scouted out a lot of locations and angles earlier in the day, so had a clear idea of where to take us. He guided us on poses but also let us be ourselves, so the process felt organic. He was a pro and had a great eye for knowing how to arrange my dress train and flower bouquet depending on the shot. We cannot recommend Daniel highly enough. He is a consummate professional and a master at what he does. First and foremost, the movies that he made for us were breathtaking. We chose Daniel after seeing the sample films on his website; the quality quotient of those films were above and beyond anyone else's that we'd seen and so we knew the bar would be high. However, even that couldn't prepare us for how amazing it was to see our own film; it truly felt like we had come out of a Hollywood set. Daniel displayed boundless creativity in getting the best shot possible, making the most out of any background and lighting. All the little comments and notes that we'd sent him were incorporated in the most beautiful ways and the editing really recaptured all the most magical moments of our day. Just as importantly, Daniel displayed an absolute masterclass on how to make the wedding day effortless and enjoyable as a vendor. Daniel went above and beyond in working with us to optimize our schedule, letting us know which parts of the day historically take longer than planned, where we might want to build in time buffers, etc, helping ensure that the day went as smoothly as possible. He also kindly offered his time before the wedding to better get to know us personally and to get additional shots ahead of the chaos that is the wedding day. One thing that stands out about Daniel is his attention to detail. He put in the work to scout our locations ahead of time (not just the venue but also our getting ready location, first look location, etc), which was extremely appreciated. His detail-orientation also came through in the questions he asked us before the process began. He sought to understand our history and relationship, our personalities and the parts of our wedding that meant the most to us in order to best craft our story. He is very easy to speak to and work with, which made all the mundane aspects of the day (posing, getting shots) enjoyable and effortless. One understated quality in a videographer / photographer is their ability to direct the wedding party, other vendors as well as any crowds (especially in NYC!) to get the perfect shots and Daniel was absolutely able to step up to the role to capture perfection in every shot. We would also note that Daniel was quick, prompt, and insightful with all his replies, giving us tremendous peace of mind that he was on top of our event. I'll preface this review by saying that we were extra picky about selecting a videographer. We wanted a wedding video that captured us as individuals, not just us on our wedding day. We scoured through many other videographer's wedding reels, and most were either formulaically cheesy or mediocre in film quality. When we finally stumbled upon Daniel, we knew he was our only choice - and boy did he not disappoint. Truly can't imagine loving our wedding video more. It's just gorgeous. Daniel was one of the best wedding decisions I made and if I had to re-do my wedding a million times again, I would choose him every time. He's a true professional and stand out guy. I wish I could explain the level of excitement my husband and I felt watching our final wedding videos by Daniel Wu. Let me start off by saying I had a very clear picture of what I wanted the videos to look like, sound like, and feel like. Daniel listened and added his creative vision to bring it to life. The clarity in the videos, the voice overs, overlays and vibe met my expectations and then some. We opted for a highlight and a feature film with drone footage. If you're on the fence, I encourage you to splurge on video! The drone footage also helped to capture our Manhattan setting and skyline. We must have looked through a hundred videographers and once we saw Daniel's work, we knew he was the one. His videos are incredible and his aesthetic was exactly what we were looking for. Daniel was so responsive to my initial inquiry and immediately scheduled a phone call with us to get to know us and go over the process. We felt very at ease with our first conversation. We worked with Daniel and his team for our wedding in New York (Central Park) in April 2022. Our wedding planning process was longer and more complicated than we expected (we rescheduled our wedding date twice due to the pandemic), but Daniel was always friendly, patient, enthusiastic, helpful and supportive. He made sure to get to know us a couple and clarify our exact videography preferences before the big day. Daniel also had a number of additional filming suggestions for the wedding day itinerary that turned out perfectly.
