Segor Painting recently painted pretty much the entire interior of our new house. If there was any area I would say there could be an improvement: some trim and surfaces were not well-masked or covered and dried paint and dust had to be scrubbed and cleaned off of trim, floor, or other surfaces. This was not the end-of-the-world and Segor did some of this clean up, but some was left to us and I would prefer if this could have been more avoided.

The employees in our home were knowledgeable and did great, efficient work. However, some logistical issues and their handling of property damage have left us unwilling to use them for future home projects. A dumpster was left in our driveway during the project time, which we expected. However, we did not expect the dumpster to be left 4 days past the project completion date. Unfortunately, it was left over a long, rainy weekend which resulted in rust stains across our brand new driveway from where it was sitting and where it dripped as it was being pulled away. They did send a specialist out to address these stains but they weren't able to get most of them out after 6 hours of work. Jeremy offered to send a specialist out again to try another chemical on the concrete. This driveway is less than a year old, so we were not willing to add more chemicals and work to the driveway without working with the company who installed it. Jeremy insisted it would be fine and refused to compensate us for damage. He also claimed that not all of the rust stains were from them, which is simply not true. He has since stopped replying to our communication, so we are cutting our losses. We would have been a little more understanding if this damage occurred during the project time and/or if Jeremy was willing to discuss compensation rather than throwing more chemicals at it. While we love our new floors, unfortunately our driveway is now likely permanently stained due to them using our driveway as dumpster storage over a long rainy weekend. We were told that they'd come get it the day after the project was completed if their baseball games were cancelled, so it appears that these games took priority over moving their heavy equipment off our property. The interior work was amazing and we were hoping to use this company for some interior painting jobs in the future. However, their handling of this situation has us looking for another company to help with our painting.

I placed an inquiry on Yelp and J & E was the only one that responded. It did take several days for…read morean intitial introduction but once we got in contact the response to come out was fast. Jamie came out to look at the project and provide an estimate within a day after he responded to the inquiry. They began the work two days later. This was exceptional as I was not even getting a response from many other contractors or the few that did respond had a month plus lead time. Jamie and a crew of two others came out. I arranged my schedule to work from home. The day of the scheduled work I hadn't heard a confirmation on timeframe and reached out about noon. Jamie responded and said they were getting materials and would arrive shortly. I wished they would have given me a better timeframe and more direct communication at first but they came out and didn't cancel, which is more than other contractors I have tried to work with to complete the project. Once they were at the house they got right to work. They were pleasant to work with and had good manners. It ended up being a two day project. They were a lot more communicative on the second day of when they would be arriving. The work got completed but I wish there would have been more attention to detail. The work outside was good, it technically fixed the leak and they added some extra wood details but sanding the corners of the wood would have been nice. The mold was removed from inside, and I will say my wall was already at an angle, but the drywall repair is kind of raised up. I ended up taking off the trim work that was put along that wall and redid it myself. The caulking was above the trim and not smoothed out so I had to paint over it myself and now it is raised and makes my wall look bumpy. I wouldn't have minded touchup work as long as it was at least smooth. I am appreciative of their quick response to service (especially since I was dealing with mold and a water leak) but would say that detail to work quality should be taken into greater account. I feel like they rushed the work on the second day and I ended up having to finish a couple of things on my own and spending even more money.

There were many weeks when he didn't even come for a single day. we had to hire a different person and pay again to get the work done . Not even a single day they worked for more than 3 hours. If you are going with him , get ready to loose peace fo mind and money. He even threatened me if I complain or write review , he will further delay my work for as long as he can . He doesn't care residential work at all. The worst company to hire , we regret the decision ever since.

I used Kern Marble and Granite to install my master bath quartz. I was impressed that they cut the…read moretub out of one piece of stone. I overlooked the fact that all of the corners on shower curb, and 2 vanities were all different. Some were rounded and some more pointed. The vanity corners were so rounded that there was only 1/4' overhang. Despite all of this I used them again for a rental property and at the same time my personal kitchen. I specifically showed them the corner that I liked in my bathroom and told them I wanted all of the corners on the island to not be rounded, and they MUST all be the same. When they installed the island my face fell. There were 2 rounded corners and 2 large curved edges where the barstools go. That is not what I wanted. They told me to find a piece of granite to match my quartz and they would do the island over because they could not get another slab of my quartz. I spent hundreds of $ in gas and much time driving to Hilliard to look for a piece of granite. I continued to look because I didn't like anything. I wanted the quartz I had ordered. They insisted they could not get it. I now believe they were just trying to get me to keep the incorrectly made quartz. The long sink counter had no overhang in the corner and the rest of it went from 0" to 1&3/4". They finally told me they found 2 pieces of the quartz. They were going to remake the counters but when they installed them there were 4 different sized overhangs on the island and they used the same sink counter and recut it. The original counter had flaws that I never mentioned because I knew it was going to be replaced. Those same flaws were still there in the same places. There was still no overhang in the corner. When I called this to their attention they said they had another piece of quartz but it was cut wrong so they used the same one. I finally got online and entered my stone manufacturer and color. It came right up. I called the distributor which said they had MANY slabs of that stone and that my fabricator probably didn't want to order it. That's when I told them I would not work with them anymore. I cannot work with a company that lies to me for their own welfare. I also cannot have their son in my house again as he is an angry person. This whole process took 5 months, from 12/31/18, when I paid the deposit, until 5/28/19 when I told Kern I would not work with them anymore since they lied abut not being able to get my quartz.

He even performed some minor repair work while he had his long ladders up. The work was flawless and was completed as quickly as I could imaging it being done (once it stopped raining, which of course is not his fault.)
