He arrived on time. Took off his shoes and got to work on the caulking job. I would definitely recommend him for handyman jobs.

Between Bath Tune Up and their subcontractors, I had 5 different contacts I worked with and scheduled separate appointments with- each of whom told me different things. None of them seemed aware of discussions that I'd already had with the others. Multiple times they either didn't show up for appointments or canceled last minute (especially frustrating when I had taken time off work to be home for the appointment). To their credit, early in the process they identified a leak in the side of our house that we needed to fix immediately. Bath Tune Up paused their work and was very patient while I got the leak fixed. After 10 days I notified them that the leak was fixed and the bathroom work could continue. It took them 9 weeks after that to finish the work. Also to their credit, multiple times when I complained about the quality of the work they did send someone out to see and then later come out to fix the work. However- this required a ton of time and management from me. I'd rather they did it right the first time.

Re:Work's commitment to building furniture from reclaimed barns is smack on point! I was introduced to this husband-and-wife-run show at a Yelp event showcasing locally run businesses around central Ohio. They know where to look, who to know, and how to make wonderful furniture. Picture frames, tables, basically, you name it and, if it's feasible, they'll make it! We were able to make a simple, but classy wood plant vase out of their reclaimed barn wood. "Reduce, reuse, recycle" at its finest! I'm excited that they're working on expanding there work space. Having the front-space addition, they're planning to make a "show room"/ come and try/experience their offerings before you chat and decide on a design. Nice!

She gave us some background on the company and just made us fall in love with what they are doing there in Grandview. We purchased a kitchen cutting board that evening and it truly is my favorite addition to my kitchen. The quality of this cutting board is obvious. It is sturdy and beautiful. We hope to purchase a tall standing mirror in the future. They have many on hand in their workshop that can be viewed if you stop by. We are saving up now for it. Feel free to stop by their incredible shop to see what they have on hand for purchase. I went to Home Depot in Zanesville, Ohio, for a bath remodel. They put it in the computer and I…read morewas contacted by an out-of-town contractor called Re-Bath. They sent a sales rep and they pressure you to either act now or they will jack the price another 2,000 and the 2,000 savings is only for RIGHT NOW. The price they gave me for replacing just the bath tub was 6990.00 but 8990.00 if you don't act right now. If you want any other part done it will be an additional 15-20,000.00. My bath tub was leaking so I decided to do it. After sleeping on it, I decided I asked for a complete remodel and they didn't want to do that. I called an cancelled. They had a "district manager" named Nick call from New Philadelphia. He said he agreed that since the only other things I would have done were replacing the toilet and about 18 sq ft of flooring that if I bought materials they could just charge labor (paperwork showed 75.00 hr and they spend 2 1/2 hrs but that included finishing the bathtub). They called back and said they would supply the materials and the whole thing would not be any more than 2500.00. When they sent the paperwork it was for 2500.00 for 300.00 parts and 2 hrs labor. I cancelled in writing and they sent me an email and said it could not longer be cancelled despite the law saying I could because they special ordered product. They came in and had to cut everything to size. Nothing was special ordered and the bath tub is so small it looks like it was built for a doll house. The end result is they billed me in excess of 800.00 per hr labor and the finished product is a doll house bath tub that had gaps in the corners that they filled with caulking but hey it has a lifetime warranty. I do not recommend dealing with Re-Bath or having Home Depot give quotes because all contractors are out-of-town and are excessively expensive and you end up with low quality work.

But Re-Bath refuses to provide a detailed quote on labor and materials. The sales person writes a bottom-line figure on a notepad and tells you that is the quote. $14K for a shower install that looks like plastic but lo and behold, they can do the whole job in a day. If you want something that looks nice, a natural stone product, the price shoots up to $20,000 for just a shower! The salesperson suggests you can finish the rest of the bathroom yourself and save some money. Then there is talk of special financing that will expire in 48 hours so you better act fast. A last gasp offer of a 5% discount to close the sale today fizzles and the appointment ends. A couple of hours later, you get a 1-page quote from Lowes that exhorts you start the project today by paying the $7,000 deposit. I'm sure this business model is convenient for some and Re-Bath may even do a nice job but the fact is, they are installing $14,000 shower kits that are underwhelming in every way. If they had offered the same service for half the price, I would have still declined. On to the next quote!
