Used this florist for our daughter's bridal shower and I could not be happier. Terrific customer support. They understand and support weddings, showers and events. We held our event at a restaurant and they knew exactly how many center pieces we needed and knew how to use reasonably priced flowers in lieu of unavailable/expensive flowers. I like that you can purchase an arrangement and choose between standard, super, and deluxe. There's also color options to choose from on some arrangements like whites, soft pastels or bright colors. We were uncertain what type of flowers we wanted but her knowledge and ability to guess our "style" through our conversation in an avenue we were very unsure about, made us feel comfortable and pleased so we placed a deposit and booked Danielson as our wedding florist. A couple months after booking, we received an email from Brittany Danielson that their wedding designer had unexpected medical issues and could no longer work. We learned throughout the entire wedding planning process that we have to be "go-with-the-flow" and there are many unexpected things you cannot plan for, but Brittany was wonderful to communicate with and made for an easy transition. Brittany was able to take our thoughts and make them a reality. We discussed our style and texture wants, season, and colors with Brittany and even left swatches with her so she could color match but left a lot of liberty up to her to put the arrangements together. Brittany was also super communicative and easy-going whenever we had adjustments on the numbers of arrangements needed. On our wedding day, when I saw the flowers for the first time, I was astonished! The flowers could not have come out better and was something I didn't know how much I would enjoy that day. It helped bring all our smaller details together. All of our arrangements - from bouquets, corsages, boutonnieres, and pew flowers to altar/fireplace arrangements, welcome sign decorations, centerpieces, cocktail hour accents, place card table decorations, and cake floral pieces - were absolutely gorgeous! Buyer Beware.. I've called this florist from out of state in the past because my mom is a fan. Per their request, I asked my older father to curbside pick up the flowers. I called this florist twice - once to see if they were open and later to make my flower order. I made the call more than 2 weeks in advance for the actual pick up. My older dad called the florist and picked up the order. After leaving the florist he realized he received the wrong flowers and returned to the florist to get it corrected. My father then had to wait for the corrected order to be put together (again, I had called for his curb pick up much earlier). He waited and received flowers that were not of the expected value and not very nice for the occasion. In my opinion, we could have done better at a grocery store. We received 2 sunflowers and some filler flowers for almost $50. It was a total disappointment. After realizing this, I called the florist myself to see what occurred and I asked for the owner,Judy. The owner, was not available for my call. The florist was familiar with the situation. This establishment did NOT do the right thing for an ongoing customer or even after being aware of the situation. I will not support this type of local business when they don't seem to really care about the consumer. I will NOT return to this florist. The woman that I spoke with took my local father's name and address. I presumed the florist would rectify their error's by a follow up call or an updated delivery. That did NOT happen. I've been to Danielson flowers a handful of times and always get excellent service from kind people. I usually stop in to pick up a small bouquet for my grandma at a nursing home close by and I remember one time when I mentioned that they gave it to me on the house! I worked with Debby Phelps at Danielson Flowers for our wedding in June 2012. I met with her twice over the course of 8 months and each time we met for over an hour. Despite quite a bit of research I had done in advance, I was still surprised at the number of decisions I needed to make! Debby was very patient and she really paid attention to what I said I liked vs didn't and what kind of atmosphere I was trying to achieve. She made good suggestions for flowers I'd not heard of before that fit very well with our color scheme, and had lots of photos handy to help me visualize. There were some things (for example our centerpieces, and the rose petals lining the aisle) that I had very specific visions of, and Debby accomplished them beautifully. There were some things I was unsure about (for instance did I want my and the bridesmaids bouquets to be monochromatic or to incorporate both of our wedding colors). Debby saw that I my eye kept being drawn to photos of monochromatic bouquets and encouraged me to go with my gut. There were also some things I had very little idea about at all (such as how I wanted the arch at the altar decorated). Given the interactions Debby and I had, I knew she had a great handle on what I liked vs not, and I felt very comfortable leaving these decisions in her capable hands. I had mentioned to Debby at our first meeting that my favorite flower is a circus or confetti rose, which I thought would fit quite well with our color scheme of orange and purple. I was disappointed that day to learn that they are unpredictable in color and are often more pink than orange, so we chose an orange spray rose that was very pretty and a color which would fit our scheme better. I was delighted to get an unexpected call from Debby the day before our wedding telling me that the batch of circus roses they had just received was, in fact, very orange and not pink. She sounded as excited as I was to incorporate my favorite flower into our bouquets and arrangements. I was very moved by this personal touch. Debby did a fabulous job on our flowers. I'm so glad she encouraged me to go with my gut for our bouquets...I really loved them. A dear friend, a rabid Red Sox fan, suddenly passed away. I checked Yelp, saw that this florist had a wonderful reputation with brides, and hoped they could help me out with some funeral flowers. I'm not sure who I spoke with, but she was so kind and didn't bat an eye (I think) when I asked about personalizing the bouquet. They made the bouquet out of a white flowers with red accents then added a huge Red Sox baseball, and a couple of flags - one with the Red Sox "B" and another that said "Red Sox." The whole family was so touched by the arrangement. They said that it really captured our friend's personality. I noticed that Danielson also made several other arrangements at the funeral. (from other people) Those arrangements were far and away the nicest ones at the service. If you are reading this and wondering if Danielson can going to handle your occasion well, I would definitely say "yes." I gave her a couple of ideas and showed her a few pictures I had found on pinterest. She completely understood what I was saying and was able to grow from my vision and make everything come to life. From our first meeting with Brittany, I knew she was going to be great. Going to the meeting all I knew was that I wanted a simple, elegant theme to go with our rustic wedding. I showed her a few ideas I had from pinterest, she asked me questions about flower preferences, and showed me previous wedding photos to get my opinions. She then went out back and came out with a beautiful bouquet that she made in seconds so I could give an input on the size, shape, etc. I absolutely loved it! This was a huge stress relief! The day before the wedding we switched from an outdoor to an indoor setting due to the weather. Brittany had everything planned for an outside ceremony, including a large arbor decoration, which she flawlessly altered to be a mantle decoration instead for above the fireplace. She used fairy lights to brighten up the inside arrangements knowing it would be a gloomy day. It added a romantic lighting brightening up the beautiful centerpieces. The wedding planner and staff at our wedding venue were overly impressed. They could not believe how beautiful the inside was decorated, especially with one days notice! We were able to stay within our budget and the florist was open to all of my ideas and executed them perfectly. The only experience that was less than perfect was when we went in to view a centerpiece sample. For the sample, it looked like they had used older flowers that were about to be thrown away. This worried me, as I was expecting the sample to look exactly like the centerpiece would the day of the wedding. However, at the reception the centerpieces looked much better and were exactly what I wanted. Judy was very helpful and arrived at the church very early to set up the flowers. Wanted to send flowers to my sister after her knee surgery. Being from the south shore did not know about the flower shops in shrewsbury. Went on line and saw all good reviews for Danielson flowers. Being busy at work did not get to call until 2:00 pm on a Friday afternoon. Spoke to a Josephine who was very friendly and helpful. Told her since it was so late in the afternoon, a Saturday delivery would be fine. She said we might be able to get them out today. Told her that would be great but if they can't Saturday would be fine. Josephine was also kind in asking if she should make a note that it might take a while for my sister to get to the door for the flowers because of her knee. Told her thanks for thinking of that but someone was home with her. Well I get a call a little after 4:00 pm from my sister saying her flowers were beautiful.
