This place was an absolute delight. I am from Texas, the home of Tex Mex, and this place wowed me. It's a delightful take on Tex Mex but they kicked it up a notch. The guys were friendly and the orders were spot on. The prices were reasonable considering you get chips. Chips have a nice portion of creole salt. Can be a little spicy so be careful. Can't vouch for their pico since I don't eat onions. Overall, give them a shot. You won't regret it. read more

Food was decent but I feel that it's overpriced for what you get. I had the fish (mahi mahi) tacos and they were pretty good. There was one guy working and the only thing that I saw him do was deliver food from the pickup counter to the tables, I recommend cutting this position so that the prices can be more reasonable. Great. Loved that all the entrees can be gluten free (using corn tortilla instead of regular) I had a chicken jerk burrito bowl. It was different but good. The size was a little smaller than we expected but it was full of meat and beans and yummy stuff which made it a filling meal! They didn't skimp on the meat. All the entrees come with these yummy spiced corn chips and salsa, which are both also gluten free. My family all enjoyed their orders also. read more

Stopped here and ordered the teriyaki bowl without rice, since I am doing a little low carb. The flavor of the food was spot on. The chicken looked like mostly dark meat which isn't really my thing but to each his own. The vegetable were perfectly flavored and cooked perfectly. The white sauce made everything even better! I was given a side of scrumptious queso and chips that I dove head first into it was so good. Their salsa I also received was a little bland and watery so I opted out of it. Had the Cajun fried catch of the day which was mahi mahi and the local catch of the day, the blackened tuna. Both were delicious tasting very fresh and with lots of flavor. Seasoned chips and plethora of salsas came with the meal. Highly recommend if you're at the crystal coast. read more

I ordered the teriyaki shrimp bowl. Nowhere on the menu did it say that beans would be included in this meal. If it had, I would have removed them. However, once I got my food, I was suprised and very upset to see that my meal was over 50% beans. I was able to pick each one out individually, but everything else still tasted like beans. Was on a quick trip to the beach and looking for a quick dinner at a pet-friendly place. Dank has an outdoor patio with tables and was way more than just friendly: the server brought a bowl of water and treats, and then sat down and talked baby talk to my dog. Food was fast and great --I got the tree hugger burrito with beyond burger -- and they brought it out to me. Menu is an interesting order-from-the board sort of affair with flavors like jerk and pork belly. When the server walked away she said, "Thanks for coming in. I appreciate you!" Maybe they were having an off day because I'm not hard to please when it comes to Mexican food, but our food was so salty I could hardly eat it. We had a wide variety of dishes, but nothing stood out. The guacamole was ok. The beans and rice were heavily salted, as was the queso. No one really liked their burritos. They had stale flavors and tasted, well.... dank. I was very disappointed. I've never given one star before, but this food deserves it. read more

We ordered through Uber Eats and got the order minus my vegan burrito and the bag of chips literally had 8 chips four my chips and guacamole, BUT no guacamole . Dank is always my lunch/snack/any time recommendation. Everything I have ever had has always been great. It is all super fresh. My go to is the teriyaki chicken bowl. It comes with mushrooms and zucchini which are cooked perfect every time, topped with cilantro just to go that extra mile. They have a killer little salsa bar which we love. The chips are great anytime and the salsa it comes with is on point. It's more pico style but you cannot beat the freshness. read more

Dank started out as a colorful graffiti-decorated truck and won the 2014 Mobile Cuisine Truck Rookie of the Year award and the brick and mortar location on Arendell Street opened in October 2015. The restaurant, just like the truck, is covered in graffiti colors and the marquee lights up the street with quotes like "burritos are the bees knees". The chef and co-owner Clarke also owns Circa 81 and the Beaufort Olive Oil Company. You can order tacos or a burrito and I opted for two tacos. You can mix and match so I tried the pork belly with banh mi veggies and the jerk chicken. The board is colorful with neon text and the menu lists all of the fresh ingredients . It was tough to pick two because everything looked so good. After you pay, you get a number placard to put on your table and the friendly staff will bring the food to you. You can watch the chefs prepare the food in the open kitchen and the restaurant looks like a former Hardees. The tacos and burritos come with chips and there is a salsa bar offering pico de gallo, cucumber jalapeño , a corn salsa and a few others. They offer a large selection of hot sauces too and they line the counter for all the spice levels out there. I loved the pork belly taco with freshly grilled meat and pickled juices. The jerk chicken was spicy and so full of flavor. I don't want to overuse the word dank but this food is dank and super fresh and tasty. Definitely check them out on your way to the beach or while in Morehead City. read more
