My son has been playing at Danny Berry Baseball for two years now and I can attest to the fact that not only has he learned to be a better player in terms of his basic skill set, he has also learned the "heart" of baseball; how to will with grace and lose with class, how to cheer on his teammates, and how to play hard on the field and be friends with the members of the other teams afterwards. I don't know of any other program that instills sportsmanship as well as Danny Berry does. Starting at age 3, boys and girls can sign up for Danny Berry. In the Spring there's Little League and in the Fall there's travel league. Over the summer, Danny Berry also runs a baseball camp (which includes other sports and swimming). Danny Berry also can provide private baseball lessons if you would prefer. Located just behind the Alper JCC campus, the fields are well appointed, with lights that come on in the evening, and Danny Berry has batting cages as well for practice. The coaches at Danny Berry are top-notch. They are quick to praise a child for getting something right, even if they don't master the skill ("great hustle!" "good swing!") but they don't sugar coat it when a child doesn't live up to his own potential ("where were you? Why weren't you backing your teammate up? Keep your eye on the ball!") I particularly appreciate the emphasis the coaches put on each child's effort. It is a maxim of baseball that you can't make every hit, catch every ball, or win every game, but you can try every time. When a child is trying his hardest, he will be singled out by the coach as an exceptional player. Or as one coach put it about my son, "he didn't catch any of the fly balls today, but he's going to keep trying, and pretty soon he's going to catch every single one of them because he never gives up practicing it." Several months later, my son does indeed catch every single fly ball - with a practiced ease that comes from endless drills. If your child is interested in baseball, I highly recommend giving Danny Berry a try. The program will inspire an ongoing interest and love of the sport as well as delivering a fantastic skill set that will be drawn upon for as long as your child plays sports. Of Note: Danny Berry also offers baseball parties. The children play for an hour and then eat for an hour. Also of Note: Danny Berry has a food truck on the premises. It is not fancy by any stretch, but it is GLATT KOSHER (meat). Chicken nuggets, hot dogs, burgers and fries are all available, as well as peanuts and cracker jack!

My daughter played with Danny Berry through an after school program and all summer kept asking if she could go to real baseball with Danny Berry. So how could I not sign her up. Just in these first few weeks I have seen a sense of pride and discipline in My daughter that I owe to Danny Berry and all of his coaches. The coaches that Danny hires are amazing and have huge patience levels. I am proud to say my daughter is a baseball player for Danny Berry Baseball. 'It's always a great day for baseball'.

I put my son here for summer camp as a trial period and I was not disappointed!…read more Brick 4 kids is a lego camp. It teaches kids how to think using legos and other materials. They also review math and other subjects. I registered him online and took him there for a week. At first I thought he wouldn't like it. There are two sessions during the day or you can pay for the whole day. I paid for the whole day for him. They don't go outside so at first that's what I thought he wouldn't like. He absolutely loved the camp. He would actually ask me every day to come back. I tried to put him the week after but the camp was already sold out! I've been trying different summer camps and this has been my absolute favorite. So glad I got to experience this camp!

This place is amazing! I took 16 of my students with special needs (autism and intellectual…read moredisabilities) to Bricks 4 Kidz for a field trip. Bricks 4 Kidz links their lessons to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math standards. The students used legos to build spinners which they used to then create their own spin art! The staff was extremely helpful in planning our trip and making sure the lesson was appropriate for the kids. Lina and the rest of the staff were very helpful during the lesson and assisted all the students in the building process. After the lesson, the students were eager to take their artwork home to show their parents and were asking when they can come back! All in all, I absolutely recommend Bricks 4 Kidz and look forward to working with them again.
