This place is such a joke! I scheduled a home rekey through my home warranty company. After a week of not hearing anything they send me an email saying my service was scheduled for March 1st. Only problem is that the email was sent to me on MARCH 3rd! I contacted them and they scheduled to come out this morning between 8 and 9 am. This morning came and went and they did not show up for my appointment. I called the tech I had spoke with and left a message. Hours later I get a call back from someone else who left a message saying they were ready to come out. I called them back 20 minutes later and they told me that they had booked other jobs and couldn't come anymore. Nice. My next call was to my home warranty company to cancel these people and get my $75 service fee back. I'm willing to bet a local locksmith will do a great job for me at the same or lower price. read more

Got my new home rekeyed. Before my locks were hard to open and get the key into now they are smooth and easy to open. They do a great job, they are fast, friendly and even go above and beyond. read more

Dan's Pro-Lock was sent to me by First American Home Warranty to update the locks after buying a home. He was pleasant and at first I was pleased with his service, but after he left my front door handle came apart. When I called First American they wanted to charge me $75 to bring him back out. My stepdad who isn't a locksmith, fixed it in five minutes and it's been fine since. I wouldn't recommend this guy to anyone. read more

Crooks. Deceitful. Shame on you. I am a new homeowner and as part of my home warranty I get my first keys rekeyed. The service fee is $85. Upon arrival Dan told me, and these are his exact words: "it would be faster and cheaper to just replace the locks rather than re-key them. Instead of $85, it will be $65". I agreed to the service and paid him. A month later I get a bill from my Home warranty requesting the $85 service fee. I tried to explain that I paid Dans Pro-Lock directly, but they explained that the $85 was just for the service and labor and the $65 was for the locks. Imagine my surprise. I paid $65 for a lock that costs $10. I feel cheated. He knew exactly what he was doing. He saw a young, single woman and took advantage. I would not recommend them and I have filed a grievance with my home warranty company to not use them again. Based on some of the reviews below they definitely are a shady operation. And to make worse, it's so difficult to lock the door. You have to pull and lift because he didn't align it properly. The old lock did not have this issue. read more

This is a complete joke of a company. They keep cancelling on me and give all kinds of excuses. They wait till the end of the window when they are supposed to be there and then give you some BS excuse and then cancel so you never get the service that you are scheduled for. They came to rekey and the technician offered to update my locks and add a bolt to another door. The other locks were easy cuz he just fit them into the existing holes. When it came to the bolt, he botched the drilling of the holes (he was free handing it, didn't get it right first time, and then tried again....others told me he used wrong tool, but he insists he didn't) and left me a damaged door, and frame. He attempted to come back to make amends by installing a metal frame around the bolt, but even that one he botched. Without even measuring he started to drill holes. And then realized it was wrong size. He said he's a professional. And as such I expected way better than this. I could have done that damage myself for free and not have to pay for it. I stopped him from coming back to make amends. I was afraid he would cause more damage than there already is. His $20 discount doesn't begin to make amends for a "professional" job. read more

The only star I gave just because they came within the timeframe. The service guy came in and changed my front and garage door locks. I had just one key on my hand and assumed the garage door shall use a different key which I did have. So he charged me 70 dollars just for no key and not event test if my current key works on it or not. To the end, he only gv me one key for both doors. A day later, the precious house owner told me that that key works for both door. So I called Dan'a pro lock office and they refused to refund even just gv me one key. read more

Terrible experience with their service technician. Never have I come across any service tech who would find it appropriate to yell at their client during a service call. Also, if you're using these guys through your home-warranty, their 'additional services' prices quoted are MUCH higher than they advertise on their own site. For instance, a rekey was listed as $10 per lock on their website (which I found out later), but I was charged $25 per lock. I've reached out to my warranty company's contractor relations so this never happens to another customer ever again. Unprofessional behavior, WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. read more

Got assigned to Dan's Pro-Lock by American Home Warranty to change my locks after I bought my house. The locksmith came out promptly, was very polite and successfully changed our locks. Deducting 1 star because he left a bunch of random keys scattered in our dirt driveway that we kept finding over the next week. read more

Amazing, far exceeded our expectations. The technician re-keyed all our locks perfectly. But what really far surpassed our expectations was his treatment of our solid wood front double-door. It previously had stubborn stickiness and binding due to years of partial direct sun exposure. Also, the previous owner had selected a little-known brand for the lock hardware and accessories. He replaced them with an attractive, well-known brand, and (here's the most amazing part), transformed the way the door opens, so now it feels like I'm opening the door to a mansion! read more
