Was visiting family in Kellogg for my son's second birthday. My friend drove all the way in from Liberty Lake, and myself from Burien, Wa. Had a great party at Kellogg City Park and, after unwinding from the party, I decided to grab a drink with my friend and SIL. We decided to go down the closest bar so we could walk, rather than drive.
When we walked in, the bar was fairly crowded. The bartender was less than friendly, but not highly offensive. We grabbed seats near the one and only pool table that sits above the bar, after having ordered our drinks.
We played pool, and were having a great time, when we noticed a table of people taking pictures of some poor woman's butt crack. My friend waited a while, and mentioned, very tactfully, to one of the girl's reaponsible, that that was horribly offensive and just not right. It was while watching this interaction that I noticed that this girl (woman, actually - but with childish demeanor) was HIGHLY intoxicated...like, eyes rolling in her head half the time, drunk...we continued our pool game and she headed back to the bar. I then ordered us a round of gummy bear drinks, but they tasted NOTHING like the actual recipe, as he poured either very bitter OJ, or grapefruit juice, into them. Drank them anyway, and decided not to order anything else that might "confuse the bartender". Last drinks ordered were 3 well shots, and we continued to hang bh the pool table.
Next thing I know, this highly overserved girl/woman comes up to me and begins grinding on me. I told her to stop, and she could not even understand what I was saying...took 3 explanations to get her to stop touching me! Left me wondering why the bartender could not see that she had had too much to drink, but many others had...guessing that it was her "regular" status.
Well, as the night neared an end (about 1am). This girl begins to get in my friends face. She told her multiple times to stop and, just as it had been with her grinding on me, she was too deunk to comprehend. My SIL, seeing that this girl/woman was being aggressive, simply put her arm between the two, as I calmly told the person to "just stop. Don't. It's not worth anything."...thinking that everything would be fine, the bartender then begins SCREAMING at us - NOT THE AGGRESSOR - to, "Get the fuck out of [my] bar, you're 86'd!!". As I turned to retrieve my SIL and turn to leave, suddenly patrons of the bar, from the same group as this girl/woman, begin to bum rush us; physically dragging my SIL and friend towards the exit. As the bartender screams that he is calling the cops, to which we reply - "please do!", since we are now being essentially assaulted...the people are still man-handling my sister, the drunk lady trying to attack me, I go to try and help my sister walk out and we are instead pulled and pushed to the point where we both get knocked down...seriously injuring my knee in the process.
If you like bars with poor service, that treat non-regulars like less-than-human, being bum-rushed by community member 'vigilantes', and being molested by over-served patrons -- then Eddie Joe's is the place for you! However, if you like friendly service, tasty drinks, and not leaving a bar terrified, crippled, and in pain -- then stay away from this 3rd rate dive bar at all costs, your body and emotional state will surely thank you!!
