That said, I usually come in here to kill time thinking I won't buy anything, but then I find something amazing and can't resist because I know it'd be just about impossible to get anywhere else... Last time I managed to find a volume of エコエコアザラク (Eko Eko Azarak). They also sell some of my favorite art books, like Curses by George Wylesol and Vermis by Plastiboo... If you're interested in manga, it's definitely worth visiting. I've seen them selling works by some of my favorite classic mangaka like Leiji Matsumoto, Shigeru Mizuki, Kazuo Umezu, Junji Ito, etc. and they even have things like GARO magazine back issues lying around.

The owner kindly gave me the run down of the place, including the honor system on where you pull comics from. Nothing is new, so this really is a place for older/vintage comics and there isn't really any order outside of character titles so it's a lot of bin digging. Most comics are top out at 5 dollars an issue in the bins because anything more valuable is gonna be pulled aside, so realistically you're not gonna strike gold in the bins. Anyway, it's a good time looking through old comics and picking up some finds you didn't know you needed.

I will keep shopping here because the selection is great. However, when I have asked questions I have been met with snide/passive aggressive answers and reluctant help. If it was just one person or one time I would not complain. But two separate people have been rude to me and it hurts my feelings.

The selection is halucinagenic, the organization is non-Euclidian, and the sweet old nerd behind the counter knows where everything is. He's a ghost. I found his skeleton hidden behind a stack of Poison Elves and Punjabi edition 2000 ADs. Shopping at Future dreams feels like an adventure. And isn't that the point?

And I was surprised by the amount of stuff they carried, many items were fairly priced and when walking in, I was greeted with a "welcome in" and instantly felt like a safe space!! So many different hobbies like action figures, statues, and graded comics books? Each corner/spot inside is something new you didn't know existed. Overall amazing experience!! There are labels for each section (everything from kids books to aviation to romance to politics to fantasy and more)-plus multiple clearance sections where books are $1 a piece! You can tell that this place has a lot of love poured into it; the owner was there from opening and his daughter came by from next store to tell us he was on his way to unlock the doors.
