Don't go here specially when the dude w painted nails and a hat is working he has no idea what he's looking at half the time when you go in trying to sell figs lol brought him some solid ones where he could've easily doubled his profit and he didn't even take em out the bags to take a look I had 9 in total 3 of them alone were worth 70$-80 the rest I was practically giving away for free at that point but oh well what can you expect when the dude upfront has no idea what he's looking at and he's there just to be there missed out on a easy profit again don't waste you're time going here I expected more from a local business that's been around for this long ‍maybe get some more people that are knowledgeable to work at you're store and you'll see more $$$ flow read more

Was on a work trip and had a little extra time on my hands so I figured I would give this place a look. I didn't regret it!!! This place has such a good selection of Pops, toys new and old and other collectibles. It's not a huge store but it does have a good enough room to move around and have a look. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Didn't seem pushy or unhelpful. Gave me plenty of room to walk around and look. I ended ip pickup a stranger things Funko pop. It looked great and the price wasn't bad at all. If I ever come back for another trip I will for sure visit again and I suggest you to go visit too. read more

Let me start off by saying that there is a good selection of different toy lines and it is for sure a fun store to look around. The pricing seemed fair on most things (like any place else on the planet there were things priced too high and on the flip side a few bargains to be had). The owner was generally friendly and approachable. Now, you may ask why my review is so low? One thing I hate dislike about dealers/shop owners is there are some that will take advantage if you don't know what you have. I was looking to downsize a few things I didn't collect so one of the times I ventured in, I asked the owner about bringing some things in to trade (of course the answer was yes). So I brought in a small chunk of Star Wars items, for the most part nothing too epic or high value, BUT I did include two statues that sell for a good bit of coin on feebay (completed sales, not asking). So he went thru the items and offered a trade amount, which considering the two previously mentioned statues, seemed a bit low. I asked how much I would be getting on the two statues. $40. Each. Now as I said prior, I had double checked recent completed sales of both, one averaged around $250, the other $400. So, without missing a beat I let him know that I had looked them up on feebay so I knew the ballpark they sold at. At this point I could tell he got a bit embarrassed as he stammered a bit, didn't look me in the eye and threw out the lame excuse that the shop didn't sell them that high and he'd most likely ask only $100 each (while there are a few deals NOTHING was so generously underpriced in the shop) . I get that a shop has to make money, but you don't try and take advantage of a customer in an effort to do so. The icing on the cake was lying about it when his hand got caught in the cookie jar. Needless to say, I took the two statues home, the other stuff I traded (since it wasn't anything important to me and he had a few things I wanted and so it wasn't a total waste of time) Moral of the story: Always know the value of the things you have. There are honest shop owners out there that will be straight shooters. This isn't one of them. Follow up: I sold both statues on feebay about 2 weeks later and even after fees cleared over $460 read more

Great little toy shop, packed with all sorts of vintage/collectibles and well organized. The guy working was also very nice and helpful, asking what we collected, were we looking for anything in particular, and telling us about their frequent buyer program and their website. They had a nice mix of both out-of-the box items and stuff still either unopened in the box or in opened boxes. Their selection ranged from Star Wars, wrestling, G.I. Joe, TMNT, Dragon Ballz, TWD, Rick & Morty, Simpsons and all sorts of TV/Movie/Pop Culture finds to vintage Barbie, Care Bears & Smurfs. They do put their goodies up on their website, so check it out! Prices ranged from inexpensive to way up there, which is typical for this type of place, but for the most part the prices seemed reasonable and somewhat negotiable. They even have some $5 and $1 discount bins in the back. read more

My new favorite place! I ordered a used GI Joe vehicle from their website. The price was very competitive...enough to make me research them before I ordered. Between the price and the free shipping, it was almost too good to be true. But, everything I found said they were legit. Of course, if you're reading this, you're more than likely doing your own research. My item was shipped from their Portland store so I'm leaving my review for them. The vehicle was exactly as pictured on their site. The packaging they used made sure it arrived in one piece and, for a used toy, it was in great shape. They made sure all of the accessories were secure as well. Also, I find that sometimes it's the little things that really make a difference. In this case, it was a "thank you" card that was in the box when I opened it. That was a nice touch. I live out of state, which is probably for the better. I'm pretty sure I'd spend every day there and that would probably cause a few arguments at home. Still, I would love to make the trip someday. Thank you, Rogue Toys! read more

Childhood memories come alive and back like Flash Gordon. While I didn't see the super wonder I am sure this toy company can get one for you. Famously seen on Pawn Stars via the history channel for their stores in Vegas this gem happens to be in one my favorite cities....Portland, OR. As soon as I walked in I was transformed back to my childhood. Thunder cats on the right of me, transformers to the left of me and a mixture of joy all around me. Star Wars, teenage mutant ninja turtles, WWF (not I know WWE superstars), Voltron, Barbies, GI Joes and so much more. They have vintage video games and systems, no goldeneye though I asked, and then cried. I would have bought all of the GI JOE items if I could have transported it back to California safely. But I am sure I will return or maybe they ship since I didn't ask. So worth the time to see what this place had to offer! I hope they continue to do well!! read more

This place is cool but the variety is missing the mark. I was looking for great buys on old toys but was meet with disappointment. The store had great toys but it only had a small variety. You had one wall of Batman/TMNT. Another wall of Star Wars/Marvel toys. I was hoping to see stuff I grew up with. Heman, bigger selection of GI Joe, Godzilla, older Power Rangers. I mean the one in Vegas is great but that's cuase they have the room. This one looks like it's just over stock from there. It's still a cool place to go and visit. I did still buy some old toys for my son and some collectibles for me. I would have spent more if the selection was there. Sorry guys love ya on Pawn Star(Vegas store not this location) but you missed the mark at this location. read more

We visited as many toy shops as we could in Portland, and this one was top of our list. It was pretty out of the way for us but absolutely worth the trip. As soon as we entered we started loading up on toys. This place is clean, super organized and has a TON of great toys in box and a very organized selection of loose toys. The prices were great too, enough so that this was the one shop that we loaded up on toys. Dr Tongues, Future Shock were very cool and accessible but the chillest place with the friendliest owner was the most shoppable and worth the joruney. Don't question the trip! Just go! read more

The owner is very laid back but professional. He is always welcoming to my son, my husband and I every time we come over. I will admit, I was never a huge collector but there was always something that I saw that brought me back to my childhood and or things that I had no idea was even a toy when I was younger. My husband and I have been going to this store for almost a year now and we've brought not only our son but our siblings as well to show how nostalgic this store is. We have always had a positive experience in this store, even when we don't end up buying something, it doesn't stop us from coming back. I am very happy that my husband is able to buy, trade and or sell toys in this store. We have been trying to find a good place to do the same thing and none have compared to coming to this store. I definitely recommend this store to check out. You honestly would be surprised by what you find. Because of this store, I have started collecting Sailor Moon figures (slowly but surely almost complete) and I honestly couldn't be happier. The owner also holds an event every month on the 2nd Saturday, called Trade Night, where, you guessed it! Trade toys, socialize with other traders, eat some nice grub, and they also raffle off some pretty sweet toys as well! Because of this event, its amazing how much people come together for this one event every month! Wasn't what I expected. The $5 bin had parts of toys like arms and legs of action figures. And the vintage stuff is WAY too expensive. There was an R2D2 figure with half the stickers ripped off for $60. Love the store but too expensive. read more

Best toy selection this side of eBay, but even better because you can see the toys. I picked up two 1980's GI Joes and they were in great condition,and they had a huge selection. I'm a comic book / transformers / GI Joe / TMNT guy from back in the day, so this is now one of my favorite stores in PDX. read more

Store expanded and now has a much larger selection. You can find both vintage and modern toys plus old school video games. Be sure to check out their monthly trade night. (2nd Saturday of each month) Customers bring in there own trade stock and swap toys with other customers as well as the store. Plus, Mikey provides free grub that night and gives away toys through raffle prizes. Tickets are earned by trading! I love this store, most of the time. But the last time I visited I was not impressed by the unfriendly dude behind the counter. I come up from SF every year to Portland and visit this store with my six year old. I am excited to be there and I ask where the He-Man section is. The look on this guys face was telling me that I was bothering him and he pointed to the back. Okay...so I walk to the back and the He-Man section is pretty bare. Nothing spectacular. It's hard to concentrate because death metal with very inappropriate language is being screamed at me through the speakers. Not exactly what I listen to or my six year old. I go back and purchase some items and the dude seems just as annoyed that I'm buying something. Like I side, we come to this store every year and it's always been great. But after this time, I'm not sure we'll go back. read more

Rogue Toys PDX is great place for Collectibles, they have have everything Vintage and Modern, from vintage Transformers and GI joes to Modern marvel legends, anime figures, DC and a Ton of Starwars Collectibles. Mickey, the owner is a great guy, if the store don't have what you are looking for , he will help you out, they also have tons of great deals, discounts( check web page for details)and every second saturday of the month they have trade night, everybody is welcome to trade with other collectors. I've been in a handful of times. They have everything from vintage to modern Era toys. The owner Mike is super friendly, great customer service and always there... Which is rare for a business owner. They have always been quick to answer messages through Facebook if I've had questions.... best way to describe rogue toys... remember your favorite toy growing up?? We all had more then one. Over time we parted with these toys or lost them because we were too cool. Well now that we are old enough to appreciate them and enjoy them again. Rogue Toys gives us a second chance to own them. And still in the factory sealed Box might I add. Why buy your kids a new toy when you can get them a even cooler vintage toy?? Whatever you do. Go check it out! read more

SO happy they opened up a location in Portland! This place is awesome. It's small but the selection of 80's toys are bomb! They have a little bit of everything so let's just say we ALL left happy that day. We stopped in here before we ventured off to go brave some black friday shopping. The minute we walked in, we were floored at how big their collection of vintage G.I. Joe's were! They had a USS Flagg on display and numerous playsets and vehicles in their original boxes. For a Joe's collector this was Utopia! So as we roam the rest of the shop, we find vintage lunch boxes and thermoses, Star Wars, Marvel, TMNT, McFarlane figures and so much more. The best part was the guy running the shop that day though. I'm not sure if he's the owner or manager or what, but he gave us some pretty awesome deals. There were some sales going on that day so I snatched up a couple of lunch boxes and thermoses. One of them as Alf. The guy saw that and threw in some Alf comics to go with it. :) Then when my BF mentioned that I collect vintage Strawberry Shortcake, he brought out a vintage glass jar and threw that in too! When my daughter saw some magnets she liked from a little box by the door, he threw those in for free too. Needless to say, we were super happy with our visit. We ended up spending close to $400 in there that day but we came away with some rare big ticket items and a whole bunch of awesome additions to our collection. The guy behind the counter seemed incapable of working retail or making a decision. I had several sold out Star Wars Hot Toys items I wanted to unload while on a road trip to make room in the car and get some extra gas money. I didn't want to spend time in eBay. I was trying to sell these items that are selling on eBay between 300.00-499.00 for 80.00 each. Rogue Toys could sell them for a huge profit as I wasn't trying to make a lot of money. The guy working said the manager was not in and sorry. I thought call him. This is a great deal for your store. This is a great deal. But I guess that did not occur to him. So we decided to browse the store to see what they carried. It's hard to enjoy the shopping experience when you are being watched like a hawk. Odd business model. It's degrading when you have a BA and a Masters degree and you help kids for a career and some dude behind the counter at a toy store watches you like a suspect. read more

Sad that the customer service was lackluster at best! In a day where stores have a hard time keeping storefronts open, you'd think the customer service would be stellar... NOPE! The man working the counter this last Saturday welcomed us into the store; however, his attitude completely changed when we asked him a question. What an amazing toy store. I don't know who likes to visit more, me or my 3 year old son. The owner, Mikey, is extremely personable and helpful. He will bend over backwards to help you look for that something special for your loved ones or even yourself. The selection is just crazy.
