Last night when I started it, the check engine light came on, and a whole host of other dash lights were quick to follow. Early this morning, I took it to my local garage to get the code scanned, and much to my dismay, it was the dreaded TCV... So around 8:30 this morning, I brought her in to Quirk Subaru to have them take a look and assess it for warranty coverage. As luck would have it, Mat F. let me know that I happened to still be just under the 5y/60k power train warranty at 57,853 miles (can I get an amen...), and the repair was covered in full. Not only did they cover the repair, but my vehicle was also finished and ready to be picked up by 3:30pm. Outstanding turnaround, and I've never experienced a simpler transaction. Thanks again!

Brakes are supposed to last 30,000-60,000 miles. The front brakes that weren't replaced by Quirk lasted 80,000 miles, which is a good indication of my senior driving style. Quirk and National Subaru essentially said "too bad", the warranty was 1 year. I hope there will be a the class action suit to reimburse consumers for the crappy brakes Quirk and perhaps other Subaru service depts. are using. For this reason, I would not recommend Quirk for brake replacements.

A Confusing Experience at Quirk Hyundai while shopping for an electric vehicle…read more I was ready to make the leap to EV and the Ioniq 5 was my top contender. Upon arrival, at Quirk I was greeted by one member of the sales team (let's call this person Salesperson #1), and we began discussing my needs. Partway through, Salesperson #1 had to assist another customer and handed me off to a second team member. No issue there--we test-drove the car, and I liked it. Later, I reached out to Salesperson #2 to schedule a test drive of a different trim. They were out that day but let me know the sales manager, Dave, would assist. When I arrived, Dave redirected me back to Salesperson #1, who remained helpful and accommodating. However, the EV I had requested to test-drive had no charge, despite my advance notice. I waited while it was charged, and once we were on the road, I was even more convinced the Ioniq 5 was the right vehicle for me. At this point, I had narrowed my options to the Kia EV6 and the Hyundai Ioniq 5. The two models differed in standard features across trim levels. The mid-tier EV6 included key safety features I wanted, while those same features required stepping up to the top trim in the Ioniq 5. I preferred the Hyundai and shared this openly with Salesperson #2, along with the pricing I had from Kia. I wasn't expecting a price match, but I did ask for the best lease numbers possible. What I received was higher than Kia's offer but still acceptable. I also asked if they could match the Kia offer on my current vehicle's trade-in value. After ongoing discussions with Salesperson #2, I let them know I was coming back to town to test-drive both vehicles again and make my final decision that day. Though Salesperson #2 had the day off, they assured me that someone would be ready to assist. When I arrived, I was greeted by Salesperson #3, who explained that the assigned team member was unavailable and they were stepping in. Unfortunately, they didn't know where the fully charged Ioniq 5 Limited was and instead offered a different unit with only 23% charge. I was then asked what it would take to make the purchase that day. I reiterated that I was comparing two vehicles, that the dealership already had my numbers, and that I still needed an answer regarding my trade-in value. After test-driving both the Ioniq 5 and the EV6 again, I was ready to lease the Ioniq 5 Limited at the terms previously provided--if the trade-in offer was competitive. Upon returning, Salesperson #3 presented a lease quote for the SEL trim instead. This was surprising, as I had already explained to Salesperson #2 that the SEL lacked essential safety features, like blind spot cameras, and wasn't a viable option. It was evident that there had been little to no communication among the team. I was left with the impression that my research and preferences weren't being taken seriously. It was frustrating to be told, in effect, that I should settle for a less expensive car I had already ruled out. I certainly wondered if they would have made the same assumptions if my husband was the buyer. In the end, I walked away. I'm now a very happy customer of Darling's Kia, driving an EV6 that I love.

About 100 miles from home in our 2021 Palisade with 85k miles, we realized that we were past due for oil change. We decided to continue but noticed the car was sounding a little rough ( but no dash lights) by the time we got to Maine. We stopped by Quirk Hundai to inquire about an oil change but was told that the first available was the following week. Ray Knott offered to check our oil and was kind enough to top off the oil. We just want to say that we were very appreciate and impressed by the offer. We made it to Acadia and then back home with no issues. We truly appreciate the kindness showed to us. We know that Mr Knott could have left it at "Sorry, we are booked" but we feel that he did go above and beyond and we were able to enjoy the trip and feel better about the car. His courtesy and help were greatly appreciated.

She limped into Darling's and one of the service team took over from there. Connor (I don't have his last name but I will encourage my daughter to name her first child after him!) was fantastic. He led us through every step of what turned out to be very bad news - a ruined transmission - informing us of what the options and costs were. Connor made numerous calls to find a rebuilt or new transmission and calls to my friend's husband to get his input. Unfortunately, none of the options were good. Connor ultimately arranged a rental car for us so that we could enjoy the last few days of our holiday and then he was the point person on getting the van shipped back to Idaho where it 'lives'. We are so thankful for Connor's help in all of this and were so pleased that we had someone who with kindness and understanding and a touch of humor walked us through the whole process. Thanks Connor.

When that happens it often can cost $1500 to $2000 because by then the calipers and rotors are usually bad. I told the service rep, "I didn't want to play the garage brake game so just change the pad." They charged me $170 and changed NO Pads. So the GM saw my bad review and called to say they'd come good for the poor service and replace my pads. Against my better judgement I took in in. The service rep asked if I wanted a mechanic to test drive it and I said, "No I just want you to replace all the brake pads like you were suppose to do the 1st time." When I got it back and they had only replaced 2 brake pads. So,I wrote to the GM and told him, " if my Ford Transit broke down in front of the dealership I'd tow it to a garage that can count to 4." Didn't hear anymore from him because he knew I was disgusted and done with Darlings. Worst experience I ever had at a garage and I'm 72 years old . Earlier, Darlings told me I needed to have the brake fluid replaced after 2 yrs. I asked how much and was quoted $200. I took it to my regular mechanic and he did it for $40. So he'll get ALL my work now. I don't like being scammed. They talk a good game but when it come to doing the work you want, it is like pulling teeth.
